I was trying to find Gouken's concept that resembles Ryu but then i found these:
 

 
Akiman also drew a picture of beard Ryu in the early 2000's, it's almost like they wanted to redesign him a long time ago but were afraid of the backlash from SF purists who want SF to remain SFII forever.
 
Or Oro and Ryu were never master and student to begin with. Oro's just as delusion as Sakura who keeps calling herself Ryu's disciple when he's never taught her anything.

Luke looks totally different than he does in SF5. It also looks like a considerable amount of time has passed since SF5 (Luke has scars and Ryu's beard) so I'm pretty confident we've moved past SF3 in the timeline. 

I've been enjoying many of the character interaction quotes in Capcom Vs SNK 2. 
 
Bison/Athena:
"Psycho Power delivers true terror!"
"No! No! It gives people hopes and dreams!"
 
Both Bison and Athena use "Psycho Power", but both versions are completely different from one another. 
 
Bison/Sagat:
"That look in your eyes, you are like a terrified little animal."
"You should be ashamed of yourself as a martial artist. ・・・・ It is pathetic!"
 
Bison is always insulting Sagat.
 
Rugal/Cammy
"There is no need for calculations. I'm pretty sure I'll win 100% of the time."
"This is the kind of overconfidence that leads to mistakes."
 
Rugal/Sakura
“I have no blind spots in my extensive knowledge of all martial arts!”
“A " walking encyclopedia of martial arts" you could say!”
 
I love this interaction. Both are mimics, but Rugal is dimensions greater than Sakura in that area. She could learn a lot fighting alongside him.

"Hmph... That bark, show me what you can do."
 
Bison/Geese
"It's not so bad to be working with you like this."

There may not be a whole lot of story stuff, but the dialogue in that game is hella top-notch.

As far as Luke's story mode goes, it made me like him a lot. In general these story modes have been turbo lazy after season 1. So him having a bunch of slide isn't an indictment on the character, its one on Capcom. If he didn't look garish, and wasn't another blonde blue eyed guy in a literal roster full of them, I think he'd be more welcomed.
 
the tats and wack haircut don't do him any favours either. Think his looks detract from the character.

Effie【Character・♀】■ Street Fighter 3
Appearing in Necro's ending, she's the little girl who rescues Necro, who was imprisoned in the facility. She has a quite cute appearance, however her hollow eyes and dark circles creates a frightening atmosphere. In the end, she embarks on a happy escape journey together with Necro. 
 
■ Street Fighter 3: 2nd Impact
She now appears in Necro's victory and defeat poses. Also, if Hugo makes Necro his partner in the ending, she can be seen watching over Necro as he heads towards the ring. 
 
■ Street Fighter 3: Third Strike
Her elopement with Necro is still ongoing. In Necro's ending while in the middle of escaping from their pursuers, she nearly falls from the top of the railcar into a ravine, but is rescued by Necro's super long hand. From the words of their pursuers, it became clear that like Necro, she is also a modified human and that her existence was a secret.
 
Btw, i hope Luke does something good for the series, however i still wanna know who the hell "his father" is ?

Luke is a white boy in Timbs. The man has braved some dangers you would not believe.

Some musings/predictions on SF6 and Bison:

1- If Rose realizes that the world is gonna end anyway even if Bison is "destroyed", that means Bison knew it too. In fact he probably knew it before her and planned for it.
 
2- Bison anchoring his spirit into many horcruxes  (I think the Udon comics did this but with the dolls instead of Neo-Shadaloo) to ensure a foothold in the physical plane and inevitable resurrection is pretty obvious, at least with Ed and Falke. But in light of the recent tweets and point #1, he probably did it as part of a Plan A rather than a Plan B.
 
3- Plan A is a response to Ryu's question to Bison at the end of SF5 after defeating him, "Is this the power you seek?". The answer is Yes Ryu, Bison sought to invoke, see, understand, and experience MNK firsthand which according to Oro's Character Story in SF5 is the only thing that can truly rival Bison's power. Bison has all the time in the world, his laughter at the end of SF5 while his body disintegrated is one of pure joy. Bison succeeded in inspiring Ryu to awaken his true power and test it head on. By accelerating Ryu's awakening and pushing him to become stronger, Bison will also propel himself towards becoming the best version of himself ever. Everything else in the story is literally secondary to this one thing, hence why he chilled in base throughout SF5.

Now we wait patiently for Bison's return as a season 1 or 2 DLC in SF6. It will be glorious. SPECTACULAR EVEN. The best thing since cheese sandwiches. That man deserves to rule the world.

imo Gill hasn't lost since he and the rest of the secret society are alive and well. They also hammer home how weak Urien is compared to Gill so there's no way Urien's 3rd Strike ending is canon. 
 
In Gill's character story they address him as an Emperor (天帝, Tentei) and the title is The Emperor Doesn't Look Back. So this is after New Generation/2nd Impact where Urien becomes the president and Gill achieves the rank above him. 
 

 
With how popular the SFIII characters are now compared to back in the day, I don't think they're going to off-screen Gill and the rest of the SFIII cast. Ed and Menat were designed to be "new generation" fighters for season 2,  so they're also in the same group as SFIII.
