Will have to scoop. They have a few copies of the Classic Collection physical available. Think I'm going to try and scoop the PS4 version and record some play throughs of the games. It's actually been long enough I would need to learn some of 1 and most of 3 again. Bloodlines been a while to and recording play throughs would be good motivation to learn them again.

Quite curious what that means for the future of the franchise.  Personally I think it means Metroid may turn into something else but remain the same gameplay wise...They'll probably have to call the next game after 5 something else and then put a subtitle on it to make the transition easier.

Starting out with Takashi and Koizumi on screen.  Starting out with the first game.  Looks like Smash?   Wait is this a tekken character in smash? wow...Kazuya just tossed Ganondorf into a volcano lol.  Lol..EWGF in Tekken.  Stage looks pretty awesome.  Now Kazyua is tossing various characters off into the Volcano lol.  Kazuya can become Devil Kazuya for certain attacks.  Heihachi is int eh background of his stage.  Showing his final smash.   Lol  Kazuya tried to toss Kirby and Kirby just floated back up in the background.
 
Sakurai on the show, says there will be a presentation at a later date.  showing a quick video showing some of his moves.  He has...a lot.  I'm really curious as to how this is going to work.  Jesus christ he has a lot of moves.  WTF....They even put in his 10 hit combo.  presentation for him is coming 6/28.

Shin Megami Tensei V being shown now.  Looks like it's a story trailer talking about your reality getting pulled into a different dimension.  Main character shown in a dif reality of Tokyo.  main character transformed and they're shwoing the environment.  Showing the way how battles work now.  main character has a saber blade.  Can talk with demons and negotiate with some of them to get them on your side.   Can fuse demons and create whole new demons.  This game looks pretty nice.  Game is coming 11/12.  NICE!

Danganrompa is coming to Switch. Dangan Rompa Decadence.  3 games in the series coming in a package to the system.  and a board game that was in one of the games is getting expanded and included in the game.  so it's actually 4 games and it's coming later this year.  you can buy them seprately on the eshop if you want.
 
Looks like they're porting the latest fatal frame game to the switch.  Coming to the Switch this year.

You seem to be completely  missing my point. Of course a game like Ratchet could be made for PCs. It wouldn't be because how many PC gamers have a PCI-E Gen 4 SSD? It's why mentioned Cyberpun 2077's SSD situation. Ratchet was made because Isomniac knew every PS5 had SSD capable of running the game.  Ratchet isn't cross gen, instead of getting more experience like Ratchet we are stuck with hamstrung last gen games running at higher resolutions. If I want to run a last gen game at higher resolutions, I'll get the PC version.  I went on big diatribe about how PC has technology that doesn't get taken advantage of because PC developers have to account for people with lower spec hardware. The whole appeal of consoles for me is that you get developers, like Insomniac, that maximize the hardware in ways that frankly is never done on PC. That really ever happen on the Xbox platform and with Sony's cross gen strategy you'll have to wait until God of War 3 and Horizon 3 to see game developed from the ground up for PS5 and by the time those games release the PS6 will be around corner.

Basically the Xbox is pointless to me. They spent hundreds of millions of dollars in R&D on  hardware they won't truly take advantage of. The whole appeal of console hardware for me is that 1st party developers know what hardware everyone has which allows them to truly push it. I've had SSDs on my PCs for years and Cyberpunk 2077 is the first game I've gotten on PC that essentially requires an SSD.  Ratchet & Clank is the first game I can recall that actually leverages the increased SSD speeds to produce a game that can't be done on a mechanical drive. Instead of purely for faster load times. Often the "innovative" technology of  console isn't new, it's just standardized so the developers actually make use of it. I have nothing against Gamepass but it doesn't appeal to me. I have more games than I can play already. I could literally not buy a game for the next 12 months and still have a back log.

Sorry bro, but DmC made a lot of dumb decisions on the way when it came to the story.
The characters on DMC are more complex than what people give credit, they have a lot of things going for them, is just that is not in the nose, when you look at their actions and their context (lore, story, etc) you can see how they are well developed characters.
 
DmC confused being edgy with being deep.
 
Side note.
Something similar happens with God of War, where many people think that Kratos is deep now with the last game, ignoring how complex the character was on all the old games.
They only see the rage at surface level and don't care to appreciate all the other layers the character has that you can see across all the games.

Yea sure, they just took him too far away from where he was for me. Vergil doesn't use guns, he has an honor system, he never lies, and shooting a pregnant woman is just a line for me. I don't need that in my reimagining of a series about a demon slaying goofball that waxes poetic about the value of family. 
 
I'm all about looking at a character from a new angle but for me...that isn't Vergil...at all. In fact he's almost the exact opposite of what I consider Vergil to be as a character. A honorable but broken and somewhat sympathetic character. 
 
I wouldn't pee on NuVergils head if his hair was on fire. He's a dumpster fire of an individual. He lies, cheats, and manipulates to get what he wants. DMC Vergil was always up front. It was Arkham who played underhanded games.
 
 They took an antagonist and made him a villain. I don't dig it. 

I think people just go full retard when a reboot is announced, forget what the word "reboot" actually means, and think everything established up to that point will disappear completely. They did the same when Lords Of Shadow was announced to be Castlevania.
 
The combat in DmC was fun, the characterizations were pretty spot on if not over the top in places (DmC is probably the best characterization of Vergil in the series tbh) and the atmosphere was better than either 4 or 5. I don't understand people saying it wasn't a good DMC game. It's a reboot, it's not supposed to be a straight up sequel. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

DmC is an ok action game but I don't really want to see it again. I thought the color scheme and excessive bloom constantly was super ugly.  I don't find the game visually attractive. The writing was fucking terrible to. Just awful. DMC never needed a pregnant person to be murdered on screen. That scene alone proves a fundamental misunderstanding of DMC. 
 
Basically the combat is alright (I have my issues with it but it's not terrible) but everything surrounding it is God awful imo. If it had been called something else but the general narrative and events still happened and the graphics stayed the same I would still dislike this game a good deal. 

i don't see that happening for a few reasons this whole idea of combining west and east studios to make a game was Inafune's all along which left capcom already and not in a good note.
 
this game wasn't only a bad DMC game but it was also pretty bad on the narrative itself, trying to be edgy and serious i think it was writtten by 13 year old.
 
and third well entitled tameem threw more wood to the fire with his statements insulting the DMC fanbase and glorifying his flawed game.

You should play the original, it's a pretty excellent game. It's got an overworld map that's a lot like Zelda 2 with enemies roaming that will trigger side scrolling sections if you run into them,  and the side scrolling parts are based on the engine the first NES TMNT game was built with but with heavy Japanese vibes. But it also has 3d caves you have to explore which are pretty cool too. It was a very ambitious game for the time. It was only released in Japan but I have a translated version of it I can slide you if you're interested. 
 
This new game looks bananas, I can't wait to get my hands on it and it would be really awesome to see Konami turn it around. They've made some of my favorite games of all time but they were so incredibly innovative even back in the psx Era. It's a shame what's become of them.

I just cant muster up the fucks to give about The Last of Us franchise. I just really don't seem to care at all. I wish they would move on from it instead of sucking it's dick endlessly like that have for what...the last 10 years? We where on Uncharted 3 or Jak 3 at this point. 
 
Just want ND to go back to making games I care about.

Lets not ignore that The Last of Us isn’t even ten years old yet, so I don’t see the point for that getting the remake treatment.

All this River City Girls hate kills me because it actually a fucking fantastic it just has a steeper learning curve then most other crawlers. 
 
I also like how heavy everything feels brawler always feel so fucking floaty.  One of the best things about SOR4 is that everything has weight to it. 
 
Oh well. 

the home console market in japan has been shrinking for a while and i think Sony is starting to give up on it. it's hard to focus on a failing market when in the west they're bigger than ever. Japan has always been on portables for the most part anyway.

That's what got me about it. It was literally the definition of OK (gameplay wise). I spent the cost of the game and have a physical copy so I am not hurt by it. The universe rewarded me a solid consolation price with FnR so I am not too mad. 
 
The game had a lot of charm and the story entertained me; but it's not a great game to play. If it doesn't play well, then it becomes an uphill battle.
