I just finished a 3 hour ranked run. 
 
I see what you mean by Alex being weirdly unpunishable. So much pushback when he hits your block, crMK barely reaches.
 
Pretty happy with Akuma so far. His 83 different command normals still mess me up, I just gotta find some bnbs that work for me instead of falling back to sf2 Ryu. But the cadence of his attacks feels right.  
 
Demon flip goes, like, nowhere. It's that Cammy move now.
 
Divekick, d+MK, only at top of jump? feels a bit useless?
 
Air fireball only on forward jump messes with me even though I already knew about it. Habits...
 
At least I can crMK xx fireball. 

As a kid once spent a whole summer day in the attic doing a no dying single playthrough of that, cos you got a death count at the end, and I wanted it to be 0, wondering if it did anything special.
 
Still pissed off that a fairy revive counted as a death and continue. Memory of that's still vividly burned in my brain, though fantastic game

I've been watching the Zelda 1 randomizer tournament from 2020 lately.  It's like agdq in that I forget it exists for months on end, then binge watch it all.

Its more of about how shitty and unnecessarily smug a lot of people were in SRK. After a good ol' decade of explaining stuff about the general culture in the website and other stuff, a good chunk of loudmouths and their sycophants were more than happy to tow the line. Wanting to be part of a group is a hell of a thing.
 
That one convo went like: "discords are a mess because they're hard to find. That makes forums/websites way better."  And the counterargument was "Well no because all you have to do is find this one excel sheet with discord links to lots of places". It was such a dumb conversation it still blows my mind it happened.
 
But that's sort of been the very weird irony of SRK. The real shitty people didn't understand who they were on practical reasons. Its also why I'm always going to be on the side of getting you guys to do more. This is a great start here and you can make it great if you wanna do the work.  You don't have to "redo" the same things. Just take all the mistakes of SRK (from all places from SF5 subforums to GD) and go "So we're not gonna do any of that".

If there was a time to get this place picking a direction, its basically now. The forums are here and functional. You guys can decide as a group of people were to take it etc. If this were my bag, I'd be advertising this place on the twitters left and right. It may not be mine, but its defo is for a lot of you guys. Might as well start shouting this place out and beefing up numbers.

VT2 Orbs have more than a few applications to them. 
So much is getting chip damage (white health in case of SFV) is a major benefit because then you also have frame advantage to consider. 
Rose will be free to cleanse the poor saps corrupted soul.

She's definitely a zoner but I find her more far an interesting to play in SFV. I'm not sure I would call her rushdown but I like her buttons and VT2 can be oppressive. I don't even care if my opponent blocks VT2. The obscene about of chip damage it does makes the next hit I land punishing.

That's the VS ProblemX was going with, for its insane meter build up rather than the de/buffs, especially when she's playing her zoning game. Less influentially, that's the one I tend to prefer, too.
