I don't put any stock into elemental powers as it's minor on the grand scheme of things. It's not like Blanka, Laura and Ryu make use of their electric abilities like they are static and black lightning.

Far too many characters make use of fire as the elemental for their moves.

Agreed, overlapping elemental powers don't bother me. The only one that shouldn't be super common is ice. All the battle quotes against Kolin made it seem that that is just never done and exotic. Lily and Rashid having wind isn't an issue at all, they're both so different in how they use it, character aesthetics, etc.

  2. I love  Captain Commando but like DS, I'd rather it be in it's own  universe. The Shadaloo CRI said it was fictional in SF and I'd prefer it if there was a fun back and forth on its canonicity rather than any official links. If it's canon to SF we'll have to get used to a few decades giving way to space travel, millions of alien cultures and having Scumicide be lying in wait for decades before CC kicks off. That would mean that he'd be the real leader behind whatever future plots would happen in SF. I want Captain Commando to be free to do it's own thing without worrying about keeping the future of SF clean or constantly having to worry about where the FF and SF cast wind up.

I'm saying G in SFV wanted his global popularity up to have all/majority people of the world to follow him, the fact in SF6 we see no G after that big timeskip mean something interrupted his run/plan, be it Gill defeating him with people everywhere watching it on live streaming or something else

For what we know G may be on his space station planning something as we speak, but SF6 just give us indication that his SFV thing did'nt had success/follow up

I am really curious about what he's up to in the many years since SFV. Since the main message he was showing was unity rather than him being unbeatable, I don't know if Gill beating him would ruin things. He didn't seem bothered about losing to Gill & ironically caused him to be a little bit frustrated since he couldn't get a clear answer from him when asking about the "Gate of Harmony". I don't know the timelines, but he seems like his usual self by the time Rose fights him, but there's no sign of how popular or unpopular he is.

It could be that he lost popularity and people moved on, he could be doing a "world tour" (hah) or Capcom wants to deal with him later and we'll learn what he's been up to in later seasons.  So far the only sign of him in SF6 is in:

    FzkHflbXwAEOFo9?format=jpg&name=large

but it's impossible to know if the image is canon, or even how old the poster is, but the fact that it's there has my attention.

Like how would a character like Necalli work when they can’t speak? Or Q which if you reveal too much will ruin the character.

For Necalli, I have no idea how he'd work since he's so inhuman and feral. I'd look to how they'll approach Akuma maybe, but still...

As for Q, even before WTM, I was in the minority & I could see him talking. Not too much, but regardless of how much he talks, I can see him being about whatever particular mission he's on while peppering mysteries here and there. No heart to hearts about his time in a lab.

Something interesting could be making him like JLU's version of the Question:

You don't learn much about him, but he's moving the world along, he has his fingers in the various mysteries of the SF world - known and unknown things he could speculate on and has been researching. Conversations with him could point to connections to G or flatout show that he's investigating him, has a vendetta against him or something, but for every 1 thing you almost learn, 10 new questions are sprouted. Learn that he was in Nayshall and knowns Ken is innocent and show he's had his eye on his since SF2, throw a curveball and say Q actually did run into Oro decades ago. Him being Where's Waldo'd into SF's history could be neat. You could potentially have some fun; he's comically serious, but he's wrapped up in weird stuff. "I can't prove it yet, but rumours point to the legendary fighter Ryu having been through the multiverse" "Bison? Hrnn...that's not his real name...the truth will confound you."

Alternatively, you could have Q interact, but another character fields the interactions, like the way that Li-Fen is hanging out right next to Chun-Li, if like I previously mentioned, he and Viper strike up an unlikely alliance, she could field some of the talk while he pipes in a bit. You could even have it that the CIA agents David & Gillian are fielding most of your questions, but Q pops up later, or for plot reasons, they're forced to collaborate to take down G, JP or something.

You could really break the mould and have fun with Q in WTM, but he doesn't have to be totally mute and unapproachable; all this can be done and keep the mystery growing, because nothing worse is making a mystery that ultimately doesn't go anywhere. It doesn't have to be spilled out, but if you keep things in one place, you risk stagnating the character and no one will care about the mystery. If all we know about Q matches what 1999 had, but he just gets to run around in 3d, that's a mistake. Keep it going.

yeah, as the moment sf steps on that area, likely a reboot is around the corner, even Soul Calibur went that way

SF6 is the most popular the series has been and people are praising how the characters have aged, changed, and overall progressed. I can't possibly see them rebooting the series at all. Juri's immense popularity is reason alone that they're not gonna go back to SF2.

  6. Having multiple characters in particular corners of the lore has been a normal part of SF. Having her look into the Q mystery and leading her into G is a good angle in addition to moving along other tales like the JP -Nayshall story, Secret Society, etc. Shadaloo CRI confirmed that she's been tasked with tracking him down and in the comment section of one of my vid essays, a viewer wrote that it's possible when she ran into Urien in his story she was chasing a lead on Q.

In between the grifting her and Juri do, it could be that she does start noticing an overlap of the guys they con and some of the people that wind up dead whenever Q's involved. Heck, it could be kind of cool if it turned out he's been leading her in circles, corners her gives her an ultimatum; Help him stop G* or jump in a lake.

*= there's nothing to officially point to Q as good or villainous, but I get the vibes that with some of the toku elements (Kamen Rider's created to be a weapon by a secret org, but runs away and becomes their enemy), the fact that he's only seen observing the crime scenes, but he's not caught in the act, his demeanor (feels like he took a fight too far, so calls himself an abomination, the incredibly limited win quotes have him being strangely polite - a simple "Yes?" or "Again?!" instead of going "Crush! Kill! Destroy!" like Urien)

  7. Yo, that's wild, I never heard that before! If Rose has some darkness in her and that went to Bison, that would be quite the development:

"Bison, damn, being evil feels good! Gonna 110% this! it's....DELICIOUS.

I'd want Bison to have agency in his evil, so if it just opened the door and then he fully pursued evil, I think I'd prefer that. I don't want him to be noble man, could be interesting if he had some darker impulses, seemingly buried them in training. Got that taste of evil and instead of burying it, went all in.

      Reveal hidden contents

LOOOOL! Dudley doing everything with his gloves is... he glued them on his hands and wasn't able to take them off ever since.

That could be a reference to Roberto Gómez Bolaños "El Chavo", a mexican comedic television sitcom that aired from mid 70's to early 90's. There, there's an episode where Don Ramón tries to teach Chavo boxing. However, Don Ramón was gluing some pictures on his album, and Chavo gets glue on his hand and, forgetting this detail, puts the boxing gloves, gluing them.

Also, Li-Fen acknowledges being kidnapped more than once....

Whaaaat, for real ?! Oh snap that's wild, who did you talk to to learn this in game?

Really that they are pulling a Sindel with Viper?

After seeing that picture of Juri and Cammy... smiling together, I would take what she says with a grain of salt.

I don't think so, sure, it's wise to take Juri's statements with a grain of salt, but we don't really know much about Viper, she could have become disillusioned with CIA work, is stockpiling for her and her daughter's benefit and who knows, she may have discovered something ugly in the government during the years of her employment. Corruption happens a lot in the SF world, so while Juri may be exaggerating and painting a more cynical picture, Viper could be chasing her own path away from the government. Who knows, maybe when she was tailing Q, he told her some earth-shattering intel about her superiors? Heh
