  1. I'll begrudgingly admit that for a while I was part of the Skyrim problem. I had the 360 version, then got the Special Edition on XB1, and the PC version, and of course once it was on Switch I couldn't resist the temptation to have truly portable Skyrim so I got that one too. Those sales I mentioned earlier---I got Eldest Souls and so far it's been great; next up for me is Dawn of Monsters and Godstrike.
  2. For movies it's definitely The Lost Boys (ha, what a surprise there)--- I had it on VHS, then later a dvd (as part of a collection that included 2 and 3), blu-ray and now the 4k version, which is naturally the crown jewel of my collection. It's such a great thing to see one of your all-time favorites in glorious 4k quality on a big screen. I also have the Indiana Jones collection on dvd and 4k.
  3. After these messages, we'll be righttttt back! *timestamp here--- I forgot about "party-line" phone numbers until now---- this and those "phone sex" numbers are definitely an alien concept to the younger end of the Millenial and Gen Z, I'm sure.... *actually, even at the time a "party line" sounded pretty weird to me...to call and it's a phone version of a big "chat room" with strangers all talking at once?! Bruh...
  4. ^Most # of times I bought the same game---easy: Diablo 3 as some of you guys may already suspect 😆 PC version 2012--only because I was unaware of the upcoming console versions Xbox 360 version - forgot how many hours played but it was insane. PS3 version (lower; probably 70-ish hours here) XBox 1 version (at least 850 something hours here) Switch version (515 something hours here) PS5 version. (about 100-ish hours on this one) I still play the Switch and PS5 versions most often. Naturally the PC version has been abandoned; I see that version as the gimped shitty version of the game....and yes I am inclined to laugh to myself about the pc fanboys who refuse to admit the ugly truth there. My ideal new Double Dragon would basically be a ripoff of either Fight N Rage or Streets of Rage 4, which are the new GOATs for me at the moment... of course add more playable characters than just Billy and Jimmy; perhaps Marion herself (*say she retained some of the magical powers from part 3!), the ninja Ranzou (always good to fulfill the "playable ninja" slot on a roster) and Chin from DD3 + a couple of new characters...maybe an "Abobo" that has befriended the Lee and friends crew. I would bump up the pace of combat; I always prefer a faster pace with a general focus on flashy combos. Do all this with a similar higher resolution style like SOR4 or a *GOOD* retro style like Fight N Rage and you got some goddamnn gold ready to go.
  5. Yeah, I had some good times with this franchise over the years... a shame it went downhill though This franchise was one of the first times I noticed a bit of censorship in a popular game... the art/ad for part 2... in some shots, Marion's skirt is ripped a bit more and you can see some ass cheeks... but of course there is a "safer" version of that picture where the skirt isn't as torn up and her cheeks are completely covered up.
  6. niiiiice----quick Steam sale popped up for me---Hades = 12.49 [offer ends April 27] I already have Hades on Switch but I might get this for my Steam Deck.
  7. Delicious... I love that this absurd topic continues on... imagine the reaction of the average person if going back even 10 to 15 or so years in time to tell people that "transgender people in sports" would be a topic for debate in the near future. This juicy bait is one extreme example I've been thinking about for a while... that these people would theoretically have been ok with Mike Tyson deciding he's "Michelle Tyson" now and being allowed to box against the women... 🤣
  8. One of my favorite redheads "Ifrit" takes a slow walk for us:
  9. Dead Cells----it's a 50-kill curse if you break the door to get the Hunter's Grenade in the starting area....sometimes I can't resist and I get that curse for fun. *I'm not sure why the Xbox version of Dead Cells seems tougher... I got back into playing that one...but on that version I'm still just in 3-cell difficulty on one profile... while on Steam and Switch I've made it to 4 and 5-cell. of those sales I mentioned earlier, I think Ganryu 2 and Godstrike will be the first 2 at least
  10. So many sales caught my eye just now on eshop... Gunvolt Chronicles Luminous Avenger iX 2 = 16.24 Dawn of Monsters = 20.99 Ganryu 2 = 4.99! Prodeus = $20 Ultra Age = 14.99 IFO = 1.99 Eldest Souls = 6.99!! Mighty Goose = 9.99 Godstrike = 4.94 Aragami = 7.49 Speedrunners Deluxe Edition = 6.74
  11. ha, of course you know I'm looking forward to the casting reveal for the new Twilight show they have in the works....I'm 99% sure it's bound to be hilarious. The only real question these days is how much change are we talking about with the race (but only changed 1 way, of course) and the occasional sexual orientation and/or gender swaps. It's something you can almost bet money on at this point. Fortunately I'm not a serious fan of that franchise anyway though... the only real positive with it for me is that it paved the way for someone to decide that Vampire Diaries (far superior in every way) should be made into a tv show, and that would go on to become one of my favorite shows of all time.
  12. That is an odd thing---imagine all the scenarios there.... Say you were in 10th grade; 14 or 15 years old at the time Thanos snapped everyone out of existence. You are back now, still 15 years old and presumably you still need to finish high school, while your friends/peers who were still here that whole time are 20 years old and either in college or the military or working a job already. A guy was married with a kid on the way---"unsnapped" 5 years later he sees that the kid is now ready for kindergarten. Also, his wife most likely moved on and might even be married to someone else....imagine she's married to another dude you know, and now they have a kid that's already born. They thought you were dead at the time; no one knew that these "vanished" people would magically return at some point years later so...yeah. ha, there's all kinds of problems resulting from that situation of people magically disappearing then returning after years have passed. This reminds me---there was a show called "The 4400" that started off with that concept... it was originally on USA network I think (early role for Mahershala Ali, btw), then later got remade on CW (unfortunately). It also added the cool detail of the people that disappeared having returned with superhuman abilities. They were all still the same age as when they disappeared too (all from different points in history...all "missing"...until now in present day when they returned at the same time); it was quite an interesting story concept there.
  13. I haven't seen that Antman movie...and I don't have much interest in seeing it, but Kang still generally seems like an odd choice to be the next "major villain" in those Marvel movies. That character just never stood out as cool or interesting to me...and he looked rather silly as well so that sealed the deal on him for me, at least back when I was still getting comics regularly. Really---especially since we're just past this era of goddamn THANOS, a cool supervillain who actually succeeded in erasing at least half of all life in the universe?! a villain who also happens to be an extreme threat even without a fully loaded Infinity Gauntlet ...and it ended up with the greatest "big battle" scene/visuals in movie history..... It was always destined to be an uphill battle for them to top that.
  14. Oh yeah I recently got the Justice League complete series on blu-ray; it was either from Best Buy or Walmart. I saw just the other day that Target had that complete series of Batman in the store... one amazing bonus in there is that it includes the movie Mask of the Phantasm! I'm definitely getting that if it's still there when I go there again later.
  15. I stopped watching after that season that premiered with the revelation of who Negan killed with "Lucille". After that point, the show had reached a point where there wasn't much left in it for me... like they couldn't top themselves anymore....a "jump the shark" moment in a positive context, basically. It's inevitable that every great show reaches this point.
  16. ^quite a shame we just won't see stuff like that anymore...at least not often.... maybe even not at all. At least there's still Japan for quality animated stuff these days... there's not much to expect from anyone else. Heh, Disney certainly doesn't give a damn anymore----it's always "New LIVE-ACTION version of this old classic!" one after another these days....non-stop...and whenn they get all of them they'll just start remaking the remakes....fuckin lame ass company.
  17. the gorgeous Sunpi plays around with Super Mario 3
  18. PAWGy time though... and of course Rae Fit here gets bonus points for the glasses
  19. Imagine if someone remade Blacula... starring John Leguizamo as Blacula. "Anyone can play anyone", right, John Campea and friends?
  20. Moxsy was one of those that got to play Redfall early; some interesting commentary/insight on it
  21. The existence of that new Harry Potter show will be another juicy source of unintended entertainment....for at least 2 reasons, imo A certain loud/annoying minority that will be in an uproar again after their hilarious failure to boycott Hogwart's Legacy, because I'm sure that support of this show will equate to "killing people!!!" in their minds. ..but also the likely race-swaps that will happen. Who gets to be a black person this time? As usual, it should be interesting to see how that plays out as well. I'm not even that familiar with this franchise but it should be funny to see what happens there. Speaking of funny casting... looks like the ones that likely cheered for Ariel's recent change are upset about the girl they got for Lilo & Stitch being too light, btw....suddenly it's a problem and they care about accuracy, I guess... https://www.msn.com/en-us/movies/news/this-casting-is-blatant-colorism-live-action-lilo-stitchs-nani-casting-upsets-fans/ar-AA19TUHJ
  22. Well, that story got some juicy details, I see: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/police-arrest-suspect-in-cash-app-founder-s-murder/vi-AA19SE1t https://www.huffpost.com/entry/cash-app-founder-slain-suspect_n_6439d116e4b03031958d0d2e Supposedly the guy that stabbed him was angry because Cash App founder guy was banging his sister, who is married.... such a stupid "heat of the moment" thing here; now he'll face a possible "life sentence" in prison. whoah... out of curiosity I had to look it up since it's a mostly forgotten story now... but apparently there won't be charges in the Shanquella Robinson case: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/us-prosecutors-tell-family-of-shanquella-robinson-they-won-t-pursue-charges-in-her-death-in-mexico/ar-AA19N68A damn...so at least now those so-called "friends" of hers are just safe? Mexico is apparently still looking into it. No justice at all on that one, apparently. Wouldn't surprise me if those worthless pieces of shit are laughing it off now like "haha we killed that bitch and got away with it, lol"
  23. ^that's always been an interesting dilemma of power to think about, I'd say... to be an avatar of Cytorrak. On one hand it would be great to have those powers...to be another "Juggernaut", but there's part of me that's just not quite ok with being the puppet of another more powerful being. It would be preferable to be completely free to do whatever I want, and not beholden to Cytorrak forever. However... for some reason I would be a bit more ok with being a herald of Galactus though.... so there's some mixed, conflicting opinions for me on this issue. On another note---someone mentioned it somewhere recently but it surprises me I never thought of such perfect casting before.... imagine if the supermodel Iman was an actress back in the day (outside the "Remember the Time" video, I vaguely recall seeing her in just 1 or 2 movies before)...that right there is the perfect casting for Storm, folks...and one of the hottest models of all time, imo. Of course now she's likely too old for the part, sadly.
