  1. Another little detail I don't get about Diablo...and it's probably the same deal with other arpgs these days... why is the simple act of item trading such a difficult thing, or made non-existent now? It just makes no sense to me...when you have so many things, or most of the good items being "Account Bound" or whatever. That seems like you're actually removing part of the incentive to play with other people. Back in the day this never seemed to be a big issue at all....you get a weapon or item drop that you don't need, or is just not relevant to your character/build----you could simply drop it for your friend if they want it. This makes no sense to have all kinds of restrictions on that shit. It's *probably* an attempt to push more full "engagement" with the game from each player, I suspect...? (*this is also the real reason I bet for why they want so badly to make everything online-only, even when a game has single-player modes. If you're playing offline, you're not "engaged" with the "service"...you're not "in the store" and naturally they don't like that.) When each one has to find their own stuff and not rely on hand-me-down gear from friends... naturally the person is more likely to put more time into the game....so yeah that's probably the ultimate goal there. Whenever there's a question about anything with how a game is designed----it seemed like the answer is there if you just think from a "greedy publisher" perspective. Basically, like older generations always told us----"follow the money". Just ask yourself "what would be the greedy reason/angle?" ...and in a few seconds you'll see what is most likely the correct answer to the question.
  2. Heh, I knew there would be a few gems to check out in the comment section of that video about the Walmart closures. "That's really going to inconvenience a lot of people who will have to find a new place to shoplift" 😆 Random lame comic book shit--- one character I always thought was lame was Warren Worthington III, aka "Angel" from Marvel. Wasn't flight his ONLY superpower, at least in the beginning? (*I think later he was revealed to have advanced healing and some superhuman strength at least?) That's ok but it's just a rather basic bitch thing in a world of superpowered people. It's also hard to keep a low profile with those big feathery wings constantly on display. At least Apocalypse's makeover made him cool when he became the Archangel. *with that setup I'd also like to at least be able to fly superfast... like perhaps at at least on par with our fastest military aircraft.
  3. Other than a deeper level of customization (with body, face, hair options)...there's really just one missing detail of greatness that I wish Kingdoms of Amalur had... a "transmog" customization like you see in Diablo and so many other games. The item design in the game is mostly good in terms of cool, interesting visual designs, so all they would need is a very basic system like that, and of course add a color/dye option on everything. If it had this it would for sure be a real top ranking contender for "Greatest Game of All Time" status to me. When you don't have that kind of customization....and stats are tied to clothing and armor, you have this unfortunate dilemma eventually----make your character look cool....OR wear whatever gives the best stats and build....so then the player's character has no sense of design if you care about having an "optimal" or even moderately serious, efficient/top tier character build....like imagine if they have certain clothing items and colors in the game that would allow you to design a character to look like something from your favorite anime, or maybe a ninja... or a badass wizard... or super sentai Power Ranger looking character...or a hot redhead vampire, or whatever floats your boat.... but you'd be giving up the superior stats of some other armor/clothing that in your opinion looks goofy and lame... say you could dress up your character to look like a badass demon...but the stats on the demon outfit are inferior to this goofy ass purple chicken suit over there that grants +500% to Attack Power. Transmog system allows you to have the +500% bonus of the goofy chicken suit while still having the look of the demon badass outfit if you want. You can look cool AND have the optimal stats. The transmog/customization options should really just be the standard expectation for anything with custom characters at this point. *in Kingdoms of Amalur ....basically your own crafted gear is the top tier shit... so for anyone looking to make the character as powerful and efficient as possible... your character will always look the same, wearing the top rank crafted "prismere stone" stuff and crafted weapons. Anything else is just a gimped character in comparison.
  4. ^well well... it has the legendary sexpot Grace Goddamn Byers in it so I'm automatically down for watching that movie. I was hoping she would not fade away into obscurity; I first saw her on the show Empire...later she was in that show I forgot the name of about mutants (like Xmen mutants) called "The Gifted". There is no flaw: https://www.instagram.com/ladygracebyers/ Absolute smokeshow, this one.
  5. ^that reminds me; I have the Switch version of Dragon's Dogma but haven't even started with it yet; I had fond memories of playing it on the 360 so of course I got it asap when it hit Switch....it was one of my favorite games of that 360/PS3 era. heh heh, my friend's Zangief-looking "pawn" character was so amazingly terrible I remember... I dumped that shitty character pretty fast....he was dead weight in the party; always first to die. There was so many good times with that game though. Random note---that recent Toejam & Earl game is on sale on Switch for $2.24 at the moment. On xbox/Live---Dawn of the Monsters is 20.99 right now... these days, 30% off isn't really an impressive sale anymore but I might get it for that price. I was playing "Textorcist" again a few days ago... the concept of this game, and the guts it took to produce something with such niche appeal is fascinating. Even if you type fast, the difficulty with how this plays is harsh as hell....but of course that's assuming you're playing "fair" in the first place. Theoretically, you could trivialize the whole thing by having 1 player control the character and another person to handle all the typing....or if you became good at using a controller with your feet while typing with your hands, I guess? 😆 Whatever, I love it....it's a shame that this kind of "typing gameplay" concept will always be an extreme rarity, due to the fact that there is no chance for such a thing ever having mass appeal. *It's really frustrating that D4 is online-only across the board... if it weren't this would obviously be a day 1 instant buy for me, since I've been hooked on Diablo 3 non-stop since it released 11 years ago.
  6. Oh yeah that's the other thing with Showbiz Pizza ---I also didn't like when they had the "live performance" of Billy Bob and friends on the stage; I just kept wanting to get back to playing the games. Also...it was funny that those animatronic characters with their herky-jerky movemennts and bugged out eyes were often terrifying to some of the smaller kids. haha I just remembered that one of them was a big gorilla in a white suit, seated in the back playing the drums... I think there was a Kangaroo-looking character playing a banjo as well. ...oh there's a game most people forgot by now---there was an old arcade game simply called "Kangaroo"; you had to dodge monkeys throwing apples* while you try to get to the top of the screen to save your little kangaroo "Joey". *haha it was also on Atari 2600 so I had it on that system... since graphics weren't detailed at all back then, especially on Atari systems...it was funny to just imagine the monkeys were indeed throwing their actual shit at you.
  7. Would you guys accept the deal if a powerful entity like Cyttorak or Galactus offered you the incredible powers that come with the deal of being their herald/champion/etc.? Malebolgia from Image would be another one though the deal of being a Hellspawn...it's good but isn't quite as good as being a herald with Power Cosmic on your side. Power Cosmic is just too good... it would be strange to me if anyone in their right mind would be foolish enough turn all that down...even though your arrival to a world is a sign that it's about to be over for them. Still... imagine you get to explore the universe all the time, and with the power cosmic you can do nearly anything. *I watched Wishmaster part 2 the other day--- yeah the djinn has a raw deal, imo... I wouldn't go for that. He has the power to do pretty much anything... but ONLY in the context of a human's wish....nah, fuck that. If I'm to have cool powers.. I'd rather not be limited in that way.
  8. I'm just surprised she forgot to wear her bonnet while doing all that. She's in clear violation of the hoodrat dress code policy then....not looking raggedy enough.
  9. Y'know...I only went there 2 times when I was a little kid, if memory serves correct.. and it was called "Showbiz Pizza" back then... under the name "Showbiz", the main mascot character was a bear named "Billy Bob". The main draw for me was the games....the pizza was forgettable. In later years they eventually redesigned Chuck E. and it's a better character design, imo...it looks more like a rat from a Pixar film, if I recall. ...but perhaps due to nostalgia bias, I always remember and prefer it being "Showbiz" featuring the Billy Bob mascot, with Chuck being one of the side characters. *oh yeah and the toys---I don't remember any of the toys I got with those tickets, so those were mostly forgettable too. Debbie Downer moment though----imagine the people who made this their career....and we see how far it's dropped at this point; sometimes I forget that place still exists. ...but imagine being there for years and working your way up to middle management level, maybe even "general manager" or area manager....at Chuck E. Cheese of all places.
  10. I haven't checked out Teriana in a while...here's a recent one where she shows some cheeks:
  11. ah, they could still get even more greedy... it just hit me that one of the big publishers might try this some day from their "monetization brainstorm session" "So...what if we charged them 24.99 for just the title screen?" "....what?" "Y'know...just that title screen....THEN... it's an extra 49.99 to actually start the game." "Oh but wait...check this out though...how 'bout we charge them the 24.99 for the title screen...but 20 bucks for *each* thing on there, like Continue, New Game, New Game+, and the Options... we may want to split it up into parts too; like they have to buy each piece of the game world for 10 bucks...." "heh niiiiice, yeah that's a good one. Those saps will probably go for it, lol. Some will complain but most will roll over and buy anyway. We should also stick to the plan with it being online-only, then when the sequel comes out, we delete part 1 right off the servers....hahaha!"
  12. Silver Foxxx just posted more incredible material
  13. Check out Kat Graham's latest post on the insta: 😮 https://www.instagram.com/p/CpQQS9op_Zw/
  14. Oh wow that actually happened... and of course with probably none of the charm of the older one. Disney doesn't seem to care about 2d animation anymore, apparently. Hmm... perhaps a new Lilo & Stitch then, though that little girl was already brown so they would have no inclination to "swap" her. We'll see if "Brave" gets that treatment at some point in the near future; I'm sure it's on their "to do" list.
  15. Yeah... and that's insane to me... "here's a shader....but you can only use it the one time." Bruh c'monnnn... The level of greed it takes to come up with that... is STRONG. 🤣 That seems to be the driving mindset of the suits in the bigger companies at this point--- "what kind of slimy shit can we legally get away with here..?" That seems to be how they approach any situation in this industry. ...y'know, the kind of people who probably say: "Why include a color wheel/picker customization thing when we could sell that off....as individual colors....maybe 2.99 each!" ...then the other guy who's even more devious is like "....one-time use though...then they have to keep buying the same color repeatedly." 😆
  16. Wooo boy, I'm not even a fan of this franchise but goddamn this is a disaster... including "single-use" cosmetics... one of the greediest concepts around at the moment...surprising more companies don't try it from what I hear... I *think* Destiny 1 or 2 had that going on as well? Seriously, that 1 little detail is so amazing it sounds like a joke or parody someone came up with to poke fun at how the industry is today...
  17. In that theoretical example---the ones who are on the hunt for something to be offended by would probably think something along the lines of "why are you getting black actors to play dog characters?". Y'know... the same kind of people like that Martin Lawrence character in the movie "Boomerang", who see "racist messages" in nearly everything. (there's that great scene when he's explaining how the game of billiards is racist because of the white ball knocking the shit out of all the other colored balls on the table) It would be interesting to see if they try it so I could observe the results. Eh, I'll admit it's a bit of a longshot---they'd realistically just make it all cgi though. They'll get around to it soon enough since they just remake everything over and over. I wonder how long until we get a remake of the Will Smith Aladdin remake? That will be an interesting new era, when we see remade remakes...then a few years later they remake the remake of the previous remake! 😆
  18. Also, it appears that some of the Lost Boys are girls now, unsurprisingly. It would be funny if they bring back "Lady & the Tramp" and make that live-action but have the dog characters being played by black actors....and thus "accidentally" offending literally everyone at the same time while trying to ride a certain bandwagon which doubles as a shield for criticism *and* helps gain free publicity by going viral. ...which reminds me again that I'm relieved that *apparently* the new "The Lost Boys" (as in the 1987 legendary vampire movie) remake is either forever in development hell or just got quietly canceled. (the CW series for sure appears to be dead, thankfully....CW in recent years is actually worse than anything Disney, imo). Because things are the way they are today, I'm already 100% sure of what would happen there and it would be awful to see it brought back to popularity in such a context. They'd no doubt change David into a black (or latina but most likely black) girl (*because for most of the story, David is presented as the "lead" vamp and is thus a prominent character being pushed as the coolest one...so of course in today's context this has to be changed into being a black woman, obviously...perhaps the new name is "Davina". Michael is in turn also changed out to be "Michelle" since you can't allow a male character to legitimately defeat/kill a female character [even if she's a villain] at the end, obviously.)
  19. Ohhhh yes I look forward to whatever new info comes out about this soon (*hahah, yeah... all this hype just for the announcement itself and this one picture so far 😆) https://www.gamesradar.com/elden-ring-shadow-of-the-erdtree/ https://www.ign.com/articles/elden-ring-expansion-announced-shadow-of-the-erdtree *Diablo---the powerlevel of my Crusader took off after getting some good/lucky drops early like the Darklight weapon (a legendary power that doubles the "Fist of the Heavens" lightning bolt; a critical upgrade for that Aegis build); I'm closing in on paragon level 300 already, and nearly at the bottom of the Altar thing. The player characters for this season are definitely going to be even more OP than ever before. (ha, except Witch Doctor... I guess the devs don't seem to care much about that character class. It's been one of the low-tier picks for quite a while now.) The Aegis build is also something that finally made the crusader class much more fun/cool to play.
  20. Oh yeah, Wishmaster is alright.... and a bit of horror trivia for ya--- this movie includes appearances by Robert Englund, Tony Todd and Kane Hodder! So, we got the legendary Freddy, Candyman and Jason Voorhees actors all in one movie here. The djinn is easily defeated though if you do a wish like "I wish were never released." Or "I wish you and all other djinn never existed." ---as long as the rule holds true that it is compelled to always grant the wish....but then that might create a paradox kind of situation...how could the wish have been granted if such a being never existed in the first place? ...like if you invent a time machine, then go back in time and kill your past self before inventing the time machine.
  21. Ohhh I got some interesting movie pickups today---- at the Best Buy, I saw the Wishmaster Collection... "regular" blu-ray though, no 4k unfortunately. I also saw that the original Flatliners was there so I got it too. The Wishmaster collection is 4 movies; I actually never saw any of those. I was also intending to get the Army of Darkness 4k but it was gone. Bonus eye-candy--- I spotted a cute redhead while I was there....sadly she appeared to be off the market though; was walking with her boyfriend or husband. Her face was only so-so though...but the body was fantastic. this pizza I got is SO damn good though... I decided to try a "veggie pizza" for a change
  22. asmr YiQin dropped this gold just a while ago... Yoga + delicious Upskirt shots
  23. One positive thing in the game industry that took me completely by surprise though... a couple of online-only games actually becoming playable offline. I'm still blown away that any company would actually reverse course on such a thing, but there is precedent now... the folks behind V-Rising made an update that allows you to play offline....and from what I've heard/read online, apparently this happened with Back 4 Blood as well. It's one of the most unexpected thing I've ever seen happen in recent gaming history, actually....reminds of when MS had to change the gameplan they originally had in mind for XBox 1 because the backlash about a major system being 100% "always online" was that bad. Usually, I'd expect the dumbass suits that make such decisions to stand their ground no matter how foolish their plan with something is, no matter how poor the audience reactions to it is.....but sometimes the rare "course correction" actually does happen. D3---I'm about halfway down the Altar "skill-tree" at this point; it would be nice if this seasonal thing stayed in the main game permanently. Both PS5 and Switch characters are well into the paragon levels at this point.
  24. Diablo----So I took a look at the leaderboards to see if they're cheating this early and yep, they are. 😆 I really don't see the appeal, man... the top spot right now for Greater Rifts has a weapon with 3 gem slots (this is impossible) with gem icons I've never even seen before... 922% damage, plus ridiculous attack speed, critical hit, Life Per Hit, 300% damage to all skills 750 Intelligence, 50% damage to Undead, 38k Thorns damage, 100% chance to fear on hit (which is a stupid, pointless effect, btw) + a long list (15 bullet points of special stuff) of special effects...and that's JUST what's listed on the weapon.....and the weapon damage is listed as 143k....as a yellow rare weapon. The belt has 3 gem slots....actually... ALL his items have 3 gem slots. He beat GR 150 in 29 seconds, I see. This is just day #2 of the season, folks. 🤣 My luck factor with the season on PS5 is crazy right nnow... right away I just got an amazing ancient legendary item that is perfect for one of the top tier builds...this is right after another one of the best necro items (grasps of essence; powers up corpse explosion) dropping right away before I even hit level 70 earlier on this one.
