  1. Well, the season was supposed to end yesterday afternoon for Diablo 3 but as of this morning it's still been in effect, so I got a few more greater rifts. This season was one hell of a good time for me... at the very end I had cleared a GR 125, and my necro still wasn't absolutely "perfect" in terms of the build yet...I need more ancient versions of my items to attain even greater power via the augments. The general powerlevel of the D3 characters will creep up even more in season 28 though...that's going to be completely insane with all the benefits that "altar" gives...one of the nodes makes it so there's no more level requirements on gear... so the same effect as a "Gem of Ease" applied to all items, which is of course crazy. You could have a fresh level 1 character fully geared up in level 70 stuff right away for ridiculously fast power-leveling. On another note---that "I Am Jesus" game---imagine the modding potential there... what if someone mods in the Prophet Muhammad, perhaps with some magically explosive powers? I also wonder could you change the narrative, like can you play an evil version of Jesus? That would be absolute gold.
  2. So...Target finally had the Venger/Dungeon Master combo pack again... I made sure not to miss my chance this time; I finally got it. I forgot it also comes with 2 dice and a background panel of the intro scene of the cartoon. Venger has alternate hands with the magic energy blasts, but I'm not a fan of that... energy effects on a figure just tend to look silly, imo... (*because it's a solid sculpted substance of energy)...good thing that's just optional extra pieces. Oh yeah...and then I finally saw the 4k version of The Lost Boys at Best Buy!!! Hell yeah you know I had to snatch that up without question. The selection in that particular location continues to be good for some odd reason. They also had the 4k version of the movie Black Christmas featuring Margot Kidder so I got that too.... Margot was pretty cute before she got old, imo... I also figure this is one of those older movies that will completely disappear; stuff like that is a priority to get before it becomes impossible to find later. They also have the original Flatliners there so I suppose that's next if it's still there when I go next time. *edit---oh yeah---easy DRIVING requirements, you say ---yep, here's how easy it was in that "city" Memphis... You drive down a street...make a right turn...go into a parking lot to turn around and return to the building. That's the extent of the driving portion of the test. I was expecting so much more after all those "teen Driver's Ed" scenarios in various 80s shows and movies.
  3. ha, I was coming back to post that.... my old college cuddy wasted money on that nonsense; he probably won't ever play it more than that 1 time. I never saw for sure but there's no pimps and hos in the game, right? I'd be completely shocked if this neutered garbage actually had that in the game. These are the type of people that would no doubt find it "very problematic" to have pimps and ho characters walking around in their game. (*especially male pimps; I suspect they'd be ok with there being Madams if they included it at all...but males in that role would be a no-go; not allowed.) ...so ridiculous... imagine having the green light to make a Saint's Row game... but your team is going out of their way to play it "safe" with the comedy and tone everything down as much as possible. It's as absurd as when there was a Saturday morning cartoon out of Tales from the Crypt back in the day (yep this actually happened; it was on ABC if I recall).
  4. It's likely a primal thing leftover from the most ancient times of the human species--- a woman sees a taller man as being more physically capable of fulfilling the role of warrior/protector and hunter. It seems natural and fine for that to be their preference; I'd say they should just embrace that as the reality of what appeals to them on a primal, basic level. Of course in modern times the "hunter" role isn't as necessary anymore.... ...until a solar event or an emp wipes out the power grid for a significant amount of time in the world...ohhhh imagine what will happen to human civilization in that scenario. It would be interesting to see just how ugly things get in this world.
  5. I realize I'm the only one here that cares so much about Diablo 3 but the season 28 date and final notes are finally out there so Raxx has a vid on it. I never play with randoms in this game...but it will be quite a shame to watch most of the player/fanbase for this move on to Diablo 4....this will be the last season before D4's launch. I'll try to resist the lure of part 4 as best I can....it's tempting but I really hate to support the absolute nonsense of "online-only! even for single-player" gaming. *Another great "offline-gaming" moment, btw---- the power went out in the area about a week ago...and it was out for a couple of hours, actually....heh, I was still able to play Switch-version Diablo 3 perfectly fine....no need to connect to anything, and my Switch had a full charge.
  6. Ah, I forgot about Tekken Tag, actually....ok that was the 1 standout in the lineup for me...but even there, I'm really just a casual Tekken fan, so while I occasionally enjoyed that franchise, that by itself couldn't be much of a system seller for me....I could wait until more games are on the way that get my interest. Really I would've been even more interested in playing Time Splitters. PS3---well, I don't remember that launch lineup at all but it didn't help matters when they launched at what was a ridiculous price at the time. I didn't get my ps3 until...I think it was 2009---whenever Demons Souls was out since that 1 game jumped out as something I needed asap....and the Slim was a thing at the time so I got that. ...ohh and those were good times, back when you could just go to any place that sold games and systems and EASILY buy a system....unlike today in the case of certain systems.
  7. Hilarious how far some will go to defend their purchase... I still laugh about that old friend that once said "that wasn't the real launch tho..." referring to the PS2's launch, when I brought up how lame the launch lineup was. I was actually caught off guard by that response, but also found it funny at the same time....it got even better too--- Unbelievable; so the entire world, including Sony's own website was just wrong or purposely lying about that, I guess.......that conversation will never stop being such bizarre comedy gold for me. It was incredible. *oh shit Cogan with another one though....I'll dig into this a bit later....
  8. that was hilarious how Don Lemon stepped in it recently while trying to take a shot at Nikki Haley...accidentally pissing off women in general. 😆 https://edition.cnn.com/2023/02/17/media/don-lemon-cnn-apology
  9. One "mysterious" thing I've always been extremely skeptical of.... that damn Bigfoot creature. Ever since I was a kid I just kept wondering... why do we not have GOOD evidence of it? Consider how long we've had good-quality photography and video technology at this point....and the best we have in all this time is that one old clip of it walking in the distance, looking like a guy in a mascot suit? Also, wouldn't there be more stories of people that happened to encounter one of these creatures while out camping or hiking? It seems like the only way such a creature could be that elusive is if it makes sure to stay away from an area anytime humans are around, like any other animals that are initially afraid or unsure of being around people....or if it has some amazing ability to become invisible or blend perfectly with any environment. The Mothman is a cooler, more interesting "mysterious creature" legend, imo... imagine how terrifying it would be to see that in person. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mothman
  10. It's such a shame what happened with that 2011 Thundercats....I think most know the situation at this point... ratings were good, but the toy sales were not. It's not even the usual Cartoon Network BS either, of being shifted around the schedule constantly to sabotage things (e.g. He-man 2002). I didn't know about the Lego deal affecting things though. I should've bought it on dvd or blu-ray when I had the chance...perhaps that store I frequent that specializes in old stuff might have it... I did get a collection of the entire original series a few years ago though (I think some Walmarts actually still sell it!). On streaming---Hulu has it, btw. *the other thing that is heartbreaking about this show being killed so fast---- imagine if it went for 2 or 3 seasons... and with a glimpse of Monstar in one of the episodes.....oh yes... a new-era Silverhawks definitely would've been made too....I'll bet they probably already had some ideas for that possibility if the new Thundercats was a big hit on all fronts. ah yes...I had to look it up again... imagine how hype a newer Silverhawks could have been at the time Every weekday afternoon, I was there to see this greatness.
  11. ha, another one will bite the dust apparently... it soothes the soul. Live Service is a plague upon the industry that should be eradicated sooner rather than later.
  12. Man, I wish this would pop up more often...I should just run a search on stories of toxic gamers in table-top rpgs... https://www.reddit.com/r/vtm/comments/111dui4/my_player_wants_to_kill_jesus_and_end/?sort=new ^in a game of Vampire... set in the ancient past, I guess around the time that Jesus would be born, one of the players wants to go kill him... or kill Mary 🤣 Bruh c'monnnn I love it... this was hilarious to me for so many reasons. For one it reminds me of what likely would've happened with a certain annoying old friend from childhood. It would either be some ridiculous shit like that or just 1 game session after another of him trying to break the rules as much as possible and make his character completely unstoppable (*like "yeah so my character has 10 dots in all stats; he was sired directly by Caine, see....but then he got extra power from Lilith so he's actually even more powerful than Caine now so he's like a Zero Generation vampire with infinity stats and not even Angels or God Himself could stop him, blahblahblah")
  13. damn.... well apparently we lost one of the hottest old women of all time... https://hollywoodlife.com/2023/02/15/raquel-welch-dead/
  14. I didn't expect there to be a physical version of the Metroid Prime remaster... so of course I'd rather wait on that. I downloaded the japanese voice pack for Diablo 3 the other day; that little detail of hearing characters in different languages helps add a little more to the replay value for me... especially a game like this that I've played for an insane amount of time already. For a long time I had the German voices enabled on the Switch version, just 'cause it sounds cool to me and "fits" the Diablo world. For some reason it looks like this isn't possible on the Playstation version of the game though (nor the Xbox versions). On Switch they're just free extra downloadable files.... though it would be ideal if they were just options already in the game normally. There's several other ones too, including Russian and Spanish.
  15. I also keep tabs on Holy Yoly...she posted a good one a few hours ago also VaneYOGA ...annnnd Kira
  16. ah, so the shooter is indeed outside the usual stereotype one might expect of a mass shooter... I'm curious of what the motive is here....y'know, besides him being the typical loser in the game of life.... I suppose one could argue that the "usual stereotype" (random crazy white guy) isn't the safe bet anymore these days; the previous 2 shooters that made national headlines were older asian guys for some odd reason....that was quite a surprise to me there....almost as surprising as when we found out who the "DC Sniper" was some years ago. ...haha I bet you can't make a gamertag like that, btw--- "DC Sniper"; I'd assume it and other controversial, "in bad taste" names like Unabomber are probably auto-banned.
  17. Transforming weapons? Ok yeah they definitely have my attention now
  18. I'm hoping for more "possible alien ships!?" stuff in the news soon. That's way more interesting than the typical material we see in the news. The most epic Grand Finale to the story of mankind possible though... imagine multiple alien species formally make their presence known....as the dormant X-gene from the recent pandemic and vaccinations activates and humans develop new powers and evolutions..... all while vampires, werewolves and witchcraft somehow become real too (*perhaps resulting from the aforementioned mutations)....all this going on at the same time. That would be one hell of an awesome final story-arc here, folks....way better than the current storyline.
  19. A shame our newsmedia has such a narrow focus that only a few stories can get much coverage at any given time---there's another shooting that happened so of course that's going to dominate the headlines now. The older stories like that girl Shanquella being killed by her so-called "friends" in Mexico, the Idaho student murders are long gone from tv airtime at this point... and the apparent UFOs from last week will soon be dropped as well, unless we get another one of those again soon. *oh there's still coverage though; Fox just went back to talking about the mysterious "Objects" being shot down recently. PAWG Alert though--- Katie Pavlich is the Fox hottie that's on the morning show right now, filling in for Ainsley.
  20. yeah, my cousin had the original Stinkor back then... and I thought it would be funny to wash the figure (*unbeknownst to my cousin, of course); I was thorough with the hot water and soap....the smell was diminished but it was still there. From the wiki: https://he-man.fandom.com/wiki/Stinkor Stinkor was presented to Lou Scheimer and other staff at Filmation for inclusion in the original She-Ra: Princess of Power cartoon series as a member of the Evil Horde, but his questionable superpower kept him from ever making an appearance on television. According to Filmation staff, when the description of Stinkor was read out at a meeting of the story editors, all of them burst out laughing at the idea of a character who was "a walking fart joke" and vowed never to use Stinkor in any episode script[3] 🤣
  21. oh shit---imagine other animal possibilities... like being a werekangaroo!! Too bad that Elder Scrolls 6 still has probably a few decades of dev time before it's even close to release.. that world does indeed have other "were-" creatures/people in it besides the wolves and bears, if I recall. I don't think the Khajit could as the same thing though, since they have the same appearance all the time. ...ooh, a weregiraffe! 🤣 Those are too silly though, but I probably would be a wereskunk....or a bear or crocodile. I'll bet Stinkor is gone when I get back to that store... it's usually how my luck plays out; I'll think "I should get that when I see it again..." then I go back to the store and it's gone. It appears I lost the chance forever on that Venger/Dungeonmaster double-pack. The stores only have the other D&D characters now.
  22. I might get that "Stinkor" figure I keep seeing lately in Target and Walmart.... haha it just hit me---imagine being a "wereskunk"! That would be funny, but even more of a curse than normal lycanthropy... you can shift into this monstrous animal/human hybrid form....but it's a skunk so you're a creature that's known because of how much its spray stinks....and it's a bit on the ugly side too; not quite as cool-looking as a wolf. ...ooh, or a werebear---imagine how terrifying that could be in real life. Skyrim has them, btw... that was an awesome surprise on one of my adventures just randomly exploring the world of Tamriel that day...and they just pop up out of nowhere on ya. In a panic I changed into the vampire lord monster form to fight them.
  23. So....there's another one Hell yeah let's get this alien party started, folks....perhaps they finally decided "it's time..."?
