  1. https://nypost.com/2023/03/09/teacher-of-the-year-jacqueline-ma-arrested-for-alleged-sexual-abuse-of-former-student/ Another one.... the usual suspect for this crime, of course. Many years ago, "catholic priest" was always the first "likely suspect" when I heard of any story on the news about child molestation... but now I always just think "a female teacher, right? Let's see how she looks...". They've become the mascot of that particular crime.
  2. Funny thing is that I still, in hundreds of hours total playtime... never made it to the top difficulty in Dead Cells, which is "5-cells" (so yeah; I've never fought the "true" final boss, actually). I played for a bit just the other day, though my addiction to Diablo at the moment keeps getting in the way of other games. I'm usually going with either a Tactics or a Brutality build/focus.... I get the most success and fun with those. I'll most likely get that Castlevania content this weekend and dig into that. ha, my earlier rambling reminded me again of how much I despised Fable 2's co-op mode... it has yet to be dethroned as the worst co-op experience I've ever seen in gaming. Code Vein came close though....but goddamn that was awful. It still makes me laugh that when Peter Molyneux mentioned "you'll be like a henchman.." when describing it... he was being literal in the description there. You actually ARE a "henchman" (of horribly generic character design) in your friend's game, instead of your own hero character. 🤣
  3. Code Vein was a heartbreaker for me... at best it's just "alright". The difficulty is off-putting, as if the design concept there was to make sure and crush any kind of fun the player could be having in any situation. The best thing about it was the customization; the art style is very anime and kinda reminded me of how "Bleach" looks, so I loved that... ...but the controls/gameplay felt kinda clunky and awkward, imo. Backstabs also seemed inconsistent, like the game itself rolls the dice or just "decides" (cheats) whether or not your backstab was successful. The revenant/vampire power fantasy just isn't there for me as well; partially due to the difficulty but mostly due to the lack of interesting powers/abilities. These characters you play just don't seem to be all that, imo....and they move too slow, like they have only "normal human" levels of speed/agility. (*at the very least I imagine vamps/revenants to have superhuman agility and speed. That should be some basic shit that even a newly-turned "fledgling" starts with.) There's DLC but from what I heard and read about it didn't seem like anything that was worth my money or time. The worst though---the co-op mode is one of the worst garbage I've seen since Fable 2. It was so awful I only played it with a friend on one day and never again. (*your healing/resources are cut in half because again--> "No fun allowed.", and anytime player 1 or 2 dies then the whole thing is ruined and you have to start that area over....also you can only play certain areas; I forgot the details of the restriction but if 1 person didn't make it to an area yet, you couldn't play it in co-op. Also, we had to make a password-created "room" and then 1 would have to run a search for said password to join....can't just click a "join game" or "invite player" option or whatever like y'know...damn near every other co-op game in the past 20-ish or so years. One player dies? Ok now you have to create the password room and have your friend run a search for it again to start the whole area over from the beginning....oh and the silly shit is that I vaguely remember there was a simple "invite" or something button but it was greyed out for some dumbass reason...so that's why we had to make a password room and then 1 of us would search for it and enter the password to join. There's other lame shit I probably forgot now. It's a miserable shitty experience, probably designed by a little shit of a person who I bet was trolling at the time.)
  4. Oh yeah, I'm all over that Ravenswatch game asap... that looks like another one that was specifically made to cater to my taste....the great thing is that it's on everything, so my only dilemma is whether to get it on Switch or Steam Deck of Xbox/PS5... more than likely it will be Switch or Steam Deck for portable good times and PS5. There's more playable characters to be released later as well? It has that cool art style that was in Curse of the Dead Gods... oh yeah... SOLD already on this one, easy....day 1.
  5. woooooo I just found an outstanding new one: 13k subs right now; I'm sure she will be at 6 figures soon, most likely.
  6. https://youtu.be/t2CpKjbET2M VaneYOGA is still out there doing her thing^
  7. Whoah I didn't know they were adding characters to that Mario Kart game... my hope would be for Magikoopa, who has always been one of my favorite enemy characters in the Mario universe. Mouser would be a cool one too, though I wouldn't be surprised if few people are fans of him or the other characters from the American version of Super Mario Bros. 2. So, another surprising one that got around the automatic censor on Switch... I made a Mii character named "Ratbastard", it allowed that name...I assumed I would have to get creative with the spelling of "bastard" but nope, it allowed the correct spelling of that as part of the name. I also tried "Muthafukka" but as I figured it said I couldn't use that one.
  8. I'm not sure what happened to that "ask a feminist" subreddit; I like going there sometimes just to have a good laugh at a few things. Reddit is an absolute goldmine of material, tbh... I enjoy the bizarre stories and of course the usual controversial topics of interest to me, like men vs. women, certain race/stereotype-related topics, religion... basically a lot of the juicy shit that most people tend to be uncomfortable with for 1 reason or another. *That vid about the teens that ransacked the restaurant--- I figure that like a lot of "thuggish kids" scenarios, they engage in that behavior because they actually know there's little to no real consequences even if they were to get caught, because of how generally pathetic and weak the American justice system is... especially when the perpetrators in question are minors.... at worst they'd probably have to go to some juvenile detention facility for a while. This just reminded me of those 2 hoodrat pieces of shit that stole a car in Washington D.C., which resulted in a man's death... I'll bet nothing really happened to them; they had the bonus of being minors at the time and being female so nah... no worries for them, I guess....it's all fine and dandy and they can do whatever they want in life. That's one of the things that genuinely disgusts me about this world---when there's certain categories of people that can get away with whatever they want, no matter how awful it is... it's almost always fine----but if you as someone who is not part of that "special group" gets caught doing the same shit... they'll go out of their way to make an example out of ya.
  9. Vee already has the info on the new stuff from the Dead Cells Castlevania dlc:
  10. Ohhh that's another one I haven't thought of in a while that I should look for on 4k if it exists on that format--The Cell. The visuals in that movie were INSANE....like someone with quite the imagination made a movie out of some especially memorable nightmares they had. Skinfo Tidbit---the movie also features a former Power Ranger girl naked, btw... Catherine Sutherland, who was the 2nd Pink Ranger, following Amy Jo. It's only for a short time though and her character is dead but yeah...you get to see the tits. Amy Jo is also topless in a movie called The Pursuit of Happiness, not to be confused with that other "Pursuit of Happyness" that had Will Smith. Unfortunately the scene isn't that great; she's topless but it's shot at a distance.
  11. Damn, I had to look it up just now to be sure that Cher was even still performing...and she is.... this old methuselah woman will be 77 this year and she's still out there doing shows. 😆 She was an absolute smokeshow in her younger days though...
  12. No jail time... oh what a surprise 🤣 Surely a guy admitting to the same crime would have the same result, right? mmm I can't wait to check thru all the youtube comments on this one....I'm sure this will be good...
  13. Yeah, for the time I loved Skyrim... it was *despite* the various technical problems. It would be a dream if another more competent game development company could produce an Elder Scrolls game....y'know, someone who could make a game I don't have to worry about crashing or freezing or whatever when I arrive or leave any random dungeon, or cave, village, etc. etc. etc. Oddly enough I had far less problems out of Elder Scrolls Online---though of course that has the problem of being an mmo though....that in itself is most unfortunate... in that case I had some fun with the game in spite of it being part of that horrible genre.
  14. Ok yeah the Tetris example is off but a character action game with keyboard/mouse? That's weird that anyone would want to play those types of games with that. Whatever floats their boat, I guess; I have to keep reminding myself that some people just have extremely odd (or bad, imo) taste in various things. Also---so much for "pc master race!" I guess... time and time again they seem to get the shit end of the experience when a game happens to be released there *and* on consoles at about the same time. So far it's another time when I don't see people from the console side of things complaining about that game... they're presumably busy having fun with it at the moment as the pc fans are shafted and pissed off yet again.
  15. It will never stop being weird to me that some pc gamers use mouse/keyboard to play things like a 3rd person character action game (*that game Wo Long is getting some heat about this lately, in addition to performance issues on PC)... that's straight up Twilight Zone nonsense to me, like if someone said "this is bs... my steering wheel controls won't work right with Tetris and Super Mario Maker!" ...or "man that sucks... I'm trying to play MvC2 with my NES Power Pad and it's just not working properly with the game!"
  16. Ohhh I forgot that the Castlevania stuff was hitting Dead Cells so soon; I'll get into that asap... most likely within this week at least.... there's so much going on right now, with Hogwart's Legacy being out, this new Diablo 3 season being the best one they ever made (*not sure how some people are speeding thru getting the whole altar unlocked; some of the ingredients to unlock things are of course purely luck-based *low* drop-rate items like the Ramaladni item and the Royal Ring), and now I got Wolcen console next week... I'll have to take some time off soon *just* to get caught up and spend some quality time on all this greatness.
  17. Whoa, I didn't think it would happen but finally, here we are....Wolcen on Playstation....and it's due out next week?!?! Oh yeahhhh you know that's bought. Also---UNLIKE most shiesty horseshit ass garbage of the modern era... this can be played offline! edit---it's coming to the Xbox systems as well. Sheeeittt, I was not expecting this... I just found out by browsing PSN store a few minutes ago. This game though...it's another case where my opinions seem to differ from the majority of the arpg fanbase. I've seen quite a few folks always taking shots at the game like it's a 2 out of 10....the game looks awesome to me....and nah I don't care that there's likely something completely OP as hell in the game, as there's always going to be some character/build/item etc. in any game that is clearly the best choice if you're in serious "try-hard" mode about the shit.
  18. I finally got to Wishmaster 4 now... This is quite a mixed bag here... they tried something different with the formula in this one, and in some ways I appreciate some of what they were doing... but there's some dumb/questionable choices though...and some things that are downright silly---like the djinn using a tree branch at one point to fight with another guy that has a sword(?!) (**the "guy with the sword" is a manifestation of Ahura Mazda, btw... another odd thing here... ok you involve Ahura Mazda, but why is he gimped with normal human levels of running speed, strength and agility? I don't think he should be restricted *that* much by having a human form here in the world.) The main girl in this one is pretty damn hot; about even with AJ Cook in part 3, actually. This one also has a bit more eye-candy than the previous ones; right from the start you see a sex scene with that main girl and her boyfriend. There's a few other scenes where she's showing something nice too. Other girls also show skin. Overall, I enjoyed this one. The djinn is a bit more clever in parts 3 and 4... in fact he goes most of the 4th movie completely undetected... some wishes even get granted without negative results, surprisingly.
  19. So, I checked out Wishmaster 3 just now... funny; the quality of the girls keeps going up with this series. The main girl in the first one was "ok", imo... then the girl in part 2 was a bit cuter...and now the one in part 3 was a step up from that; there was a few other hot ones in this as well, including Emmanuel Vaugier... ---I first saw that fine ass in Smallville many years ago; she's done a tone of things since...usually tv https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0891275/ The main girl this time is the lovely A.J. Cook! That was a pleasant surprise... she's a cutie from Criminal Minds.. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0176882/ ...one of my favorite legal/crime-related shows of all time, that one. Anyway---the djinn in part 3 is a bit better, imo... he actually is shown to be capable of a few superhuman things outside the context of a human's wish; in part 3 he has superhuman speed, and some degree of super strength... and he was able to regenerate and recover from nearly any kind of damage.
  20. There was a thing on History channel the other day about other areas that are like the Bermuda Triangle--- Nevada Triangle, Michigan Triangle, etc. etc. I didn't realize there were other places like that where people and vehicles can just vanish for whatever reason....some of them never found, actually. They mentioned one wealthy guy that was a pilot that disappeared in the Nevada "Triangle", and the search was extensive...but they found wreckage of his plane about a year later....in a spot that was already searched previously. I wondered/suspected if it is indeed a time/space warping effect going on with that---like what if someone flying in such an area were to disappear in a zone like that, right now; the afternoon of 3/05/2023.... for this person they are suddenly flying around on the afternoon of March 5, 2029 though, because they hit the "warp"....they crash on that afternoon in 2029. Here in 2023, if we look at the same spot of land where this person crashed, nothing would be there...because they are gone from this moment in time. They won't show up there crashing until 6 years from now....from our perspective.... but from the perspective of the person, they are indeed crashing "now" but for them it is 2029. ...then as always with time traveling situations, this opens up the question of alternate timelines. Did the person in this example disappear from the timeline entirely then? Say that right now in 2023, we are Timeline A....this person hit the "warpzone" so to speak and now they are in Timeline B....since that is a whole different thing, perhaps that is why they are truly gone from our world, and will never be found, even 6 years later since they are not part of this timeline anymore. Maybe it's possible to even go backwards in the warp, and instead of 2029, it is "currently" 1981, Timeline B, when this person that took off in a plane from 2023 just crashed. Of course this isn't even getting into the juicy "what if..?" with it possibly being a dimensional warp, and perhaps the missing person just slipped over to a variant like "Earth 2".
  21. hottest girl on History Channel... I still keep tabs... Amy Teitel (appears on various shows like Unexplained and Ancient Aliens)...she's also quite good at Super Mario Maker: https://www.instagram.com/p/CoDHpxZDZUt/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CoI3eWDPXjq/
  22. If I were to go back in time, and tell the kid version of me in the past that at this point I tried and am actually enjoying veggie pizzas....my past self would laugh and tell me to get the hell out here. ...but man, I had another one today and it was awesome---it's another Target "Good & Gather" one. I only bought 2 today; I should've got more. So now I often get that and the "spinach & goat cheese" one. I have some parmesan/garlic seasoning so I always add a bit of that to them as well.
  23. heh, I look forward to watching this one a bit later---I wanted this game sooo much back then...but could never find it, and eventually I just gave up trying to hunt it down. Reminds me... the first DBZ fighting game I got to play was that first Budokai game in the GC/PS2 era....I had the Gamecube version. It frustrated me that they had Zarbon in there but with no cape....almost like they did that specifically to annoy me and the other 20 or so Zarbon fans out there. Later I got into DBZ Supersonic Warriors on GBA which was better in terms of the gameplay at least.
  24. Another little detail I don't get about Diablo...and it's probably the same deal with other arpgs these days... why is the simple act of item trading such a difficult thing, or made non-existent now? It just makes no sense to me...when you have so many things, or most of the good items being "Account Bound" or whatever. That seems like you're actually removing part of the incentive to play with other people. Back in the day this never seemed to be a big issue at all....you get a weapon or item drop that you don't need, or is just not relevant to your character/build----you could simply drop it for your friend if they want it. This makes no sense to have all kinds of restrictions on that shit. It's *probably* an attempt to push more full "engagement" with the game from each player, I suspect...? (*this is also the real reason I bet for why they want so badly to make everything online-only, even when a game has single-player modes. If you're playing offline, you're not "engaged" with the "service"...you're not "in the store" and naturally they don't like that.) When each one has to find their own stuff and not rely on hand-me-down gear from friends... naturally the person is more likely to put more time into the game....so yeah that's probably the ultimate goal there. Whenever there's a question about anything with how a game is designed----it seemed like the answer is there if you just think from a "greedy publisher" perspective. Basically, like older generations always told us----"follow the money". Just ask yourself "what would be the greedy reason/angle?" ...and in a few seconds you'll see what is most likely the correct answer to the question.
