  1. ha, first time playing Dead Cells on 5C difficulty has been some crazy/awesome shit... normal enemies on this mode can transform into elite versions...and you gradually become more infected with the "malaise" as time goes on.... in addition to most enemies being able to teleport which is from 4C difficulty. Oh yeah, I'm glad to finally make it into the "True" insanity of Dead Cells here. I still prefer to just go on with whatever random weapons and items the game starts me with, btw... at least most of the time. I think most fans like to set the exact parameters like starting with their specific favorite items, guaranteed. *sometimes* I'm in that mood but not usually. I enjoy the randomness of trying to run with whatever pops up like "ok...so this is what we're starting with...let's see what happens here.."
  2. Well, Today Show got an interview with her, I see.... "the mother* could be charged" (haha, because of course there's no Dad in the picture; oh what a surprise.) says some other links I'm seeing so far: https://nypost.com/2023/03/08/virginia-6-year-old-who-shot-teacher-wont-be-charged-but-parents-could-be/ https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/10/us/6-year-old-teacher-shooting-virginia-tuesday/index.html
  3. So... a bit more news and info about that murderous "future Deebo" little piece of shit that shot at his teacher: Imagine how much worse that kid will be once he's a teenager. I'm sure he'll rack up an interesting list of crimes before he hits 21 years old.
  4. Dead Cells-- pc version.. So this latest 4C run...I had it SO good... such a great setup; 20+ points on Tactics, but the critical thing was the amulet... I had one of those that has invisibility as an affix! I think they made that rare for good reason, because it's obviously easy-mode. You can just walk around the enemies and they have no idea what's up. Well, of course it still went to shit though--- in Slumbering Sanctuary, I made the mistake of trying to kill an elite Ravager. By himself, that dude would have been no problem to kill, but somehow a golem also got alerted and started fighting me. A golem + an elite ravager = Game Over, easily. There's no way. Really, golems + anything is a potential game ender...that's just how dangerous it is; actually I'd go so far as to say the "golem" in Dead Cells is one of the most dangerous "regular enemies" in the recent history of gaming. I should have killed that before sneaking up to the Ravager. Invisibility + any setup is just godmode though... and of course your curse situations will be easy too, since you can walk up to enemies while invisible and insta-kill them if your stats are high enough on 1 thing. I had the blow-dart gun that critical hits enemies in the back, and the fire-breathing ability like Yoga Fire as my other main attack... with a sinew slicer and the cannon from the pirate ship-related dlc. If I didn't mess up here, this run would've been an easy win.
  5. Oddly enough I'd feel safer driving a motorcycle than riding a horse. It's just a natural instinct to keep a safe distance from large, potentially dangerous animals.... I went to a horse farm in Kentucky once (this was Dad's idea; I never would've went on my own), and I just kept thinking there's no way; I'm just fine as long as they're on the other side of the fence there. You can never be 100% sure what an animal is going to do in the next few seconds.... better to be safe than sorry. No one wants to learn the Christopher Reeve lesson the hard way. ha, that reminds me I used to record all those "When Animals Attack" shows on Fox back in the 90s... it was always hilarious to see people "learning the hard way". That story of the legendary Travis the Chimp was a good one too--- there's no way I would've gone to a friend's house to help with their chimp that is currently off his meds...hell nah you're on your own with that problem, bruh. Travis literally tore that woman's face off.
  6. Has anyone here ever seen something that *might* have been an odd supernatural thing? UFOs, or ghosts, etc. etc? Unfortunately I've only seen 2 things in the sky that might have been something (not a plane or helicopter). Unfortunate thing there is that now in the age of drones being a common, easily affordable thing... a lot of "UFO" sightings will just end up being people who didn't realize it was a random drone some dude got from Best Buy. There's 1 time Mom told me we both saw something unusual (not a plane or helicopter, and quiet) in the night sky but I don't remember it....and she still jokes about how they must've erased your memory like the MIB guys with the memory-wipe tech. *helicopters----such a death trap, imo...someone would have to pay me to even consider being on one of those contraptions. If a helicopter trip goes wrong in any way, that's in you and the others on there are absolutely dead in the next few seconds. Fuck THAT. There was also that time when I was a little kid (probably just 3 or 4) and saw what I considered the "boogeyman"... it recently hit me that what if that was a real "entity", and since a kid gets told early on about the "boogeyman" it just gets labeled as that. Of course it's likely it could've just been recurring nightmares at the time; it's fascinating to me that dreams can feel just like "reality" as they're happening. I still remember how it looked (basically a glowing, ghostly humanoid apparition; a bit yellow in color); could be an interesting monster for a story if I ever stopped being lazy about creating and publishing something. Hotness Alert: *NCIS New Orleans is on ION right now---and this episode [s4, ep. 3] has one of the classic CW smoke-shows ---Cassidy Freeman as Eva Azarova. Cassidy was "Tess Mercer" from Smallville.
  7. ah, more tasty footage of trashy attitudes and behavior... if this is for real, how did it not end in a fight though? It seems like a person would quickly get their ass BEAT for some shit like this... show up at their house and just stay there? *It's also one of the reasons the whole "airbnb" concept is incredibly strange to me....from either side; as a guest I'd never want to stay at a random person's house when I could've had a nice hotel room instead like a normal person that can afford it....and I certainly wouldn't ever want a random stranger staying at my place, not even as a paying guest. ...and this reminds me... that's also why I'd avoid that scenario of a deadbeat friend at all cost---y'know, when they're like "aye man, can I stay with ya until I get back on my feet!?" ----Nah. The problem there is that it could easily lead to a similar situation like what we see here---where the "it's just for maybe a few days or weeks" turns into months and years. Nah, fuck that.
  8. Few others besides me seem to care about this game at this point, I think...but I just noticed they have an update recently for V-Rising....one thing added that some wanted from the beginning---multiple floors in your castle can be built now, apparently https://www.instagram.com/p/CqC9eSSq6YD/ well, they're still going with the Postal series, I see:
  9. heh, sometimes the greed just takes over.... that extra power....it is just too delicious. The temptation is strong. 😆 That thrill adds a little extra for the experience too... like "will our hero make it!? Let's see what happens, folks!" Next time I get into Dracula's castle I'm NOT taking the cursed chest though, so I can actually get through the place. The last 2 times, I died because of the curse. ah, if only I had tomorrow off as well... I could get a few more runs in; this wonderful game has been one of the most addictive I've ever played. *man, this reminds me of something I miss from the pre-pandemic days....taking Switch with me to work on a daily basis; so most of the time on breaks and lunch (or at my desk if the system went down) I was at it yet again with Dead Cells, in the lounge area or the general break room; always a good time. whoah----so on Caverns I just saw a amulet that is level XII with 4 points! ....but it was on Brutality while I have a Tactics build, of course. I've never even seen an amulet like that before with 4 stat points on one thing like that...mannnn if only that could've been on Tactics just now... HOLY SHIT I did it!!! This was insane... I made it to the Giant on 4 cell...but all potion charges were gone. I got hit by one of the big ox looking enemies in the level so I was down to less than half health. Just before the Giant fight, I switched passives to include "disengagement" for that 5-second shield if I got hit and went down to 15% or so health... which indeed happened so that shield saved me....as I was also hit into the lava area so with the invincible barrier I was able to get back to the platform....and I went on to actually kill him with 761 hp out of 5067 total. 🤣 I can't believe this shit, man.... I was already thinking like "nah this is a wrap here...there's no way..." So, just like that, the 5th boss cell is now mine. I was in such a panic there; disengagement shield had activated and I had nothing left; 1 more hit and obviously it would have been over....I was scrambling to do as much damage as quickly as I could before the fight got even more ridiculous, because that battle definitely gets worse as time goes on. I had a killer synergy with 2 of my weapons/items doing 80% bonus damage to poisoned enemies, and another thing was causing poison for him.
  10. I went back to my pc version of Dead Cells on Steam Deck...currently on a Brutality build for this run and it's going well so far, surprisingly on 4bc. ...heh, one room I went into had an elite version of that enemy that shoots the energy ball and teleports....in a small area....right next to a golem and other enemies. I backed out of that room SO fast. **edit---and yet I still take risks anyway----I found a room with a cursed chest here in Slumbering Sanctuary... yes I could not resist and took the curse.... ...annnd yep, a golem who didn't even see me at all did the magical long-distance grab to engage in battle with me, so there was no escape. I knew as soon as he did the ground slam it would be over (that move comes out super fast) and that's what the deal was. so close---I should've just kept going without taking the curse, obviously....because Sanctuary is one step away from the area that leads to the fight with the Giant, and I probably could've killed him with that setup, which would've earned me the 5th boss cell.
  11. Another thing that seems like a twilight zone timewarp situation... that girl from the gym went viral for calling out some dude who made the mistake of *looking* at her I guess... but didn't this already go viral? It seems like that's blowing up again online though I was sure it already was a thing about a month ago. Perhaps there was an update to the story, I suppose...? I *kind* of hope more clips pop up like that; I never get tired of watching women make themselves look foolish. There is some admittedly sadistic satisfaction I get from this.
  12. such a shame that the bonnet fad has caught on with apparently every generation currently alive at this point....it's like an especially strong infection that cannot be stopped. I saw a woman that appeared to be as old as my mom or in her generation (boomers) the other day with that silly, ugly, raggedy looking shit on her head... so she looked like an old "little goomba". Fads usually come and go but I fear this one will be in the world for quite a long time. One thing that could possibly kill it, I'm assuming.... if men could raise their damn standards a bit and stop fuckin' with them at all... like consider the bonnet itself to be an "instant disqualifier" item (even disqualifying them from being hittable one time), and if that became known to them. There's no hope in that though... Most men will never raise their standards (at least when it comes to just fucking; dudes will bone anything...sometimes it doesn't even have to be human or alive); this seems to be unlikely. Even if this happened, I suspect a lot of them might react as you'd expect of a spoiled child with the "SO?! I'll wear it EVERY day then since it bothers ya so much... what yall gonna do NOW?" ...since y'know...that's how they tend to react in any situation that criticizes or just questions whatever they say or do, really. This appears to just be their default setting in modern times. Yeah, have fun with that status of being on the absolute bottom of the totem pole of attractiveness then....not even attempting to ascend from that position.
  13. Dead Cells--whoah I didn't know until now that the way you get the 5th boss cell was different....so if I went the route that takes me to the Giant the other day instead of trying to beat the game like normal...that's all I had to do....though of course the Giant can be a problem at times too....you need as much damage as possible to finish that fight quickly before it gets too crazy. Still; I have more faith in consistently killing the Giant than the Hand of the King.
  14. Well well... today I finally found one of my favorite movies from the good ol' 1980s.... LEGEND... on blu-ray!!! That store...it never lets me down. I could spend half a day browsing in there. ...but yeah, this is the first time I've had the movie since the VHS days when I recorded it off HBO. I also found out that "Embrace of the Vampire" had a remake 10 years ago! There was a 2013 version: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3148890/ I didn't know this existed until seeing it on the shelf today in that store. Of course I bought it immediately, along with the old one. The one from 1995 is a certified "Skin Classic", folks... featuring my former #1 hottie Alyssa Goddamn Milano, and oh yes... she's naked in a few different scenes; all well-lit and at good angles. If I recall there's even an upskirt shot at the beginning. It's like they made this movie specifically for me. I couldn't believe what a great one that was back then... the fact that my #1 (*pre-Halle era) did a movie like *that* and got naked in it... oh yeah I enjoyed the hell out of her scenes many times. *I've already watched the newer one just now, and it was surprisingly alright, aside from the nudity, which was a surprise... I figured the good ol' days of gratuitous nudity were behind us at this point but nah... the 2013 one shows quite a lot of skin as well...including a lesbian scene. This also has a cutie from Hemlock Grove... the one who played that werewolf guy's sister. (Kaneihtiio Horn; sometimes credited as just "Tiio" Horn) I got some more stuff for the movie collection as well... I saw a John Wick collection that was all 4k so of course I had to get that as well; I'm behind on that franchise; I've never watched all of it before.
  15. Dead Cells ---Ah, I just remembered that there is 1 possible way to do that jump... if you have the amulet that gives you an extra jump so you can triple-jump for a longer distance. If that's intentional it's a bit shitty that the only apparent way to make that jump is with a particular item that grants you a 3rd jump....so unless my timing was just .02% of the perfection needed and it's actually impossible...it means you just can't get past there if you don't have the amulet, I guess. Doc is still at it with the occasional Dead Cells vids, btw...though he also covers other games as well
  16. ah, I remember now in Dead Cells------there was one weapon I enjoyed getting for a Survival build, and last year I was playing quite a bit with this in the last year or so before my latest break from the game--- the Giantkiller sword; it's the one that does huge bonus damage to elites and bosses. There is such an incredible satisfaction in how you can just destroy the health of bosses with that weapon, knocking huge chunks off constantly....and it fucks elite enemies up before they even get a chance to do anything, usually. ah, and now I'm reminded of one thing that actually did piss me off about the game lately---- that newer area "The Bank". I'm not sure how I got past this the first time, but just playing it now... there's a section near the end where you cannot use items... and it's just jumping/platforming... but with electrified chains everywhere....if you touch one of these electrified chains, you lose health AND get teleported to the start of the room, having to do that whole sequence again....this would only be mildly annoying if it weren't for the fact that I just got to a jump that seems to be literally impossible. The gap I had to jump over was just too damn far for the character to even "barely make it" by catching the edge of the other platform....and of course, you have no choice but to be 100% perfect on this, or else you get sent back to the beginning and lose health each time....until you just have no more health and heal potions left and that's game over.
  17. Here's another good one I keep tabs on; she just posted some gold (laying in the bed here; incredible booty shots):
  18. yeah that's the funny thing---I don't remember how I got the Hector outfit; probably an enemy drop... *aha---yep apparently it drops from a Dread Wolf: https://primagames.com/tips/dead-cells-return-to-castlevania-outfits-listed-how-to-unlock-them Yep, the true final boss is beyond the Hand of the King; that area behind him with a door that you can only open on 5C. That last Tactics build I had was magic missiles + pyrotechnics and the 2 turrets; heavy and crossbomatic. I'm most comfortable with the Tactics builds; it's how I originally started beating the game and going up the difficulty levels...with some Brutality wins here and there as well; I've used Survival builds the least of the 3. Like it is in a lot of games...having some hard-hitting ranged damage options is so good it just seems cheap at times. One of my favorite brutality weapons is the "Hattori's Katana"; the attacks just look so damn cool; the special thing about it is that you hold the attack and the character dashes forward... then you see a delayed effect of critical hit slashes on any enemies that were in your path....ha, I never get tired of that. https://deadcells.fandom.com/wiki/Hattori's_Katana
  19. I think her name is Nieva; there's at least 2 instagram pages for her that I keep track of https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp5CM0BDKXr/ https://www.instagram.com/p/Cph3XcADY-V/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CopJkJooJFI/ https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn6xFw6DGTM/
  20. Continuing my Tactics run from earlier in Dead Cells---yep that final boss killed me. I had some ridiculous damage going on but it still wasn't enough...like it wasn't effecting him that much. I switched to the "disengagement" passive since that would at least give me an invincible 5-second shield once I got inevitably hit, but there was just no way....even with me unlocking the holy cross weapon right before the fight (making it drop as a level IX S-rank weapon, doing 80k dps and 160k critical. If I had at least 2 potion charges I probably would've won this. I definitely need more runs with that exact setup I had. ...so yeah... 520 hours played... still not on 5C difficulty... but I'd say this is the closest I ever got to beating 4C. funny thing is the "Hand of the King" boss is nothing compared to the true final boss. *I like the Castlevanina Hector outfit I unlocked recently; this last run I had that as my look. Oh yeah I got the Haunted Armor and the Death outfits unlocked too
  21. I should've known Rhykker would be streaming it as well...I'll have quite a bit to get caught up on with all this D4 coverage over the weekend.... I see he was trying out the Rogue
  22. ah, I've been missing it since so much is going on at work... today's the day the early access beta began for D4 so of course some are streaming this...I just noticed Cyael is live right now
  23. heh, I was part of probably the last event like that.... when the Switch was released, the local Gamestop close to me did the midnight (but really 11pm) release event for it and oh yes...I was there in a line with some fellow Switch early-adopters, ready to get that shit asap....it was a really cute redhead girl working there too; nice bonus there....but yeah I got it + Breath of the Wild like probably everyone else at the time. Fortunately for me, this store was very close to my apartment at the time...practically down the street....so in minutes I was back at the apartment setting up to play that now legendary system for the first time... yep I was at work the next morning with Switch to play on breaks and lunch...and I had very little sleep. Legion of Judgement - that's an instant must-have for me. The 2d action platformer/roguelike has become one of my top favorite genres in the past couple of years. Dead Cells---it's paused/sleep mode at the moment but this run I'm on right now has been amazing... it's 4C difficulty, and I've made it to the High Peak Castle....but I have no healing potion left. A few biomes ago, I reset my passives to get "alienation" since my health was also low...it was looking bleak, but the alienation passive saved me; it's that one that increases the # of enemies you need to kill to get rid of a curse (so it goes from 10 to 15), for the bonus of healing 5% health with each kill.... I love this passive because I usually go for curses anyway, especially on a Tactics build.... and 5% healing is niiiiice. I went from close to death to full health in no time thanks to that passive and just 1 or 2 curses. (it's better than depending on the random luck of finding food items, as by default in this game...food is a rarity, so you can't depend on that) This was, as usual a good call...because I saw only one food item appear and it was the small one that only heals ya for 15%. At this point I got 31 points on Tactics....with "magic missiles" and "pyrotechnics" (2 of my favorites) as my weapon abilities...along with Heavy Turret and Crossbow-matic turret...high level amulet and some effects that spread oil to enemies which synergizes with the pyrotechnics, so the damage output here is ridiculous. At this point I'm easily killing all normal enemies in 1 hit, maybe 2 at most....none of them have a chance. It's still not a guaranteed win though because the boss in High Peak Castle is still a potential problem, even with all this damage I have going on....since I have no way of healing up at this point. He probably kills me in 1 or 2 hits, so this fight will have to be done flawlessly for me to get by and finish the run here.
