Anyone know much about TVs?
 
My 720p TV is pretty old, like 10 years old. I was playing the PS5 in HDMI-2 (which I’ve been using for the PS4 for years) and suddenly the image and colour quality dropped to shit levels.
 
the PS5 in HDMI-1 is perfectly fine
 
I don’t know much about TVs, and it’s likely just old, but I can’t help but wonder if the PS5 was too much and pooched the input. I was in the middle of a pretty intense battle in Doom Eternal 

edit to add: I recently got a nice 1080p monitor for my office but can’t get an Ethernet cable there, so I may have to avoid fighting games until I upgrade my TV.

Are you looking for an upgrade for your TV or want a fix for your problem? If it's the latter than it sounds like that HDMI port crapped out. That or the cable you use to connect your PS5 might have went out.

It's what happens when you a real fan base and not about frauds like SFIV. Good for them. They grinded and when the pandemic hit, thanks MVCI's solid netcode, they were able take advantage and grow there scene even more. 

The partnership with Matcherino is what took it to esport  level since it gave the TOs a means to monetarize their tournament series and provide pay outs. I don't think being entirely grassroots would disqualify it from being an esport as long as some money is coming in.

I like MK11 but that game is perfect example of why I don’t like that approach. All the fan favorites are simple and as a result all the online modes are packed to brim with like 4-5 characters while everyone else gets left on the shelf.
 
I main Frost. I play on PC and I run into more Kang, Sub, and Scorpion in one afternoon than I have Frost in the 3-4 months since buying the game during the holidays. It’s even worse on PS4.

You don't understand how much you tilt me every time I play you. @Vhozite pretends he doesn't think. But I know the real you. The man who has no care in the world.  The real KingTubb is the man who solved singularity with his playstyle. The quickest way to get your brain doing moves isn't using your hand, its to directly manipulate things with your cranium.  You aren't face rolling, you are trying to solve a brain interface option for FGs by playing with your head. But you couldn't do this on a stick. If you use your head with a stick, that looks to much like you on some downlow stuff and you ain't down for sus. That's why the cheatbox. Clean buttons that also let you practice your motor boating.
 
Is KingTubb playing or is he trying to rap all of Rapper's Delight while using Mai's bossom as headphones? Who knows. But it sure does make me want to punch my screen.

Netplay fucking sucks, yes. But really, don't let anybody tell you that you can't get better online. Don't let anyone tell you that you "rely on online tactics to win."
 
I played one person today for 2 games. This person has been lightyears ahead of me. They took game 1 in under 90 seconds TOTAL. I won the next game. I actually fucking won 1 game.
 
I'm feeling real good. I'm playing the best 3S I've ever played, and I'm training less and less, and on FC less and less. My overall exposure to the game has been decreased, but research, questions, perspective and meditation have improved my game a lot.
 
I will doubtless lose 0-10 when they play seriously next time, but I got a fucking win and no one can take that from me. I'm improving and everyone is my witness. Keep grinding, guys and gals. It'll come with time.

It was pretty easy to avoid drama in SRK. If you found it in the game subsections, it usually came from very nerdy angles. 
 
A whole lot of drama came from people not wanting to accept different perspectives in discussions. Which is ironic because the great thing about discussions is being given those different views. 
 
FGC in general is more dismissive of new information than other hobbies I participated in. Most of that is because you can overcome tech in multiple ways. If you have good spacing, a lot of stuff doesn't matter. Wong has basically been getting by with incredible footsies for decades.  If you can bop most of the player base with X set of tools, new info isn't as relevant to you. Unfortunately you had some mid level players who were wanting to play themselves up for cred. 
 
 
There were definitely a chunk of people with bad attitudes in general. Actually that was really the issue: people with weird attitude problems about random stuff.

Am I the only person who had a nice pleasent time at SRK, no drama?  It was great for match up help and what's this normal for.
 

What difficulty did you run TAG2 on to begin with? I’m sure you can do it with enough practice.
 
Trust me, I’m not that good and play on controller and I think I can do it if I just develop a bit of a strategy to certain fights and decide when to use my BFG.

I gotta take a break from the Doom Reddit... I normally like swinging by there for good tech and opinions but it’s exhausting now.
 
I’m going to watch Mayo’s revised video when he puts it up, Hugo’s next stream, and try to run TAG2 on UN - I’m sure I can do it if I skip the optional fights, after a bit more practice.

Yeah. This is some Smash shit. FOH. Dude had seriously good takes and footage to back it up. I mentioned in my review that I disagreed with some stuff. I still do, but people love a bandwagon.
 
Don't you think it's weird that you never meet these kind of people? The kind that will jump from train to train? Where are these guys? Are they hiding? Beyond just DOOM, I'd like to punch 'em in the throat.

It really is sometimes. It was a nice community until this DLC lol, but there was some ugliness around the Mick Gordon shit as well.
 
I think his video was pretty accurate but it fueled a lot of fires and I don’t think he wanted to be the firestarter. Apparently he’s releasing a revised one later today that he thinks is a bit more constructive. We’ll see.
