  1. I'm planning on taking the LSAT in August. I haven't started studying yet (workload so far has been ridiculous). I plan to study in June and July during the break. If anyone here is a lawyer or recently went through it or knows someone who has, please send over advice! I will not be trusting individuals on the internet who are sponsored or who run ads to advise me on my future.

If you don’t know who ‘Penders” is. Ken Penders was main writer and artist for the original Sonic the Hedgehog comic by Archie for about 15 years.  He’s credited for creating over 200 characters through the comics. Most of which he likely wanted to fuck.

He also built up the Echidna mythos (like making Knuckles their reincarnation of Jesus or some shit?), the chaos emeralds mythos and a bunch of other stuff.

Sega and Archie had to do a lot of reshuffling and reorganizing when they went to court with him over character rights among other things. A lawsuit which they both lost.

Penders is weird for sure. I grew up reading the Archie comics and they got oddly dark sometimes, in a way that I happened to find cool. I was too young to understand his... oddities, so I only have good memories, but I refuse to go back and read them and ruin it.

IDW stuff is better but I only have so much bandwidth for comics and lately only read Rebirth Batman, some one-shots, One Piece, Dragon Ball and occasionally Ultimate Spider-Man.

  4. Today I beat Malenia and Placidusax, among others. I've also completed the map, with the exception of Volcano Manor. I was going to complete it today, but they sent me on some dumbass assassination quest, and after that I forgot to go back and just completed Farum Azula and Elphael. I did get the assassination done, so I'll go back, beat Rykard tomorrow and close this chapter of FromSoft until I'm ready to explore the underground one day.

I deffinitly prefer that to but I'll be honest yoy don't have to work for Grass, they get dropped pretty regularly because Demons Souls really isn't that hard. It's zones can be tough but only like 3 bosses are anything worth talking about.

I guess I'm just saying I wouldn't let the grasses turn you off from at least giv8ng it a try. It's the same with Bloodvials in Bloodborne, once you get a hang of the loop youre never really struggling for Vials.

Of course do you, just making the argument lol. Personally I dont like Demons Souls very much, but it's worth giving a shot.

I'll consider it. With that said, I'm not about to emulate it. I'll borrow my old PS5 from my roommate if I have spare cash at some point and spring for it after I'm satisfied with my Elden Mid experience.

Oh. What's the issue with the healing system that makes you not want to play? If anything the Grasses are overpowered...there's no real carry limit on them.

That's a great point, but the part where I have to work for them is something I'm not interested in. I prefer the system of having a certain amount of Estus that you can upgrade over time with exploration.

I'll always recommend Demon's Souls, even with it's faults and age, as I feel it's atmosphere is unmatched. DaS2 though can fuck off, either version, I don't think very highly of that one.

By Allah, I will never play that game. I was so excited to play it and willing to put up with everything until I learned about the healing system. I will never willingly experience that.

I've got through all 4 souls games, Bloodborne, Elden Ring and Sekiro. I need to get to Armoured Core next.

You should do some more exploring in Elden Ring though.

Powerful. I’m not planning on playing Bloodborne or DS2 or Demon’s Souls. Bloodborne would be cool, but it’s just too much a hassle to emulate when I have 90% of ER ahead of me.

You dont do much exploring do you?  You use a guide so you can just blast through the game or something?

😂 no, not really. I still have so much to complete on this save file. This was a comment I made to my friends too, but I’m not sure why they push you to finish the main game story so early. I didn’t use any guides apart from how to get to the Radahn Festival, but I already had both halves of the Dectus Medallion at that point anyway and just didn’t know what they were for.

Anyway, I’ve got the Age of Fracture ending, but I’m going to continue exploring and finishing the game. I was hoping for more necessary content before completing the game, but now it’s my turn to let loose from the guidance of Grace and explore alone.

  10. Everyone knows I’m a huge F1 fan. It’s my favorite Motorsport, but I think Endurance racing might take over. IMSA is awesome but I don’t really care about American circuits. I prefer the international nature of FIA events. As such, I’ve been watching WEC. Holy shit, it’s incredible. That was a 15 minute long battle at the end of the race for the lead at Imola, and my team’s contender didn’t even win! But I had a blast. It was incredible. I loved every second of it. F1 is technically more interesting, has more drama, fanfare and insider looks into the behind the scenes action. None of that translates to the track as often as it does in WEC. Beauty.

Translator ^ just said the creator no longer has the rights to these games 😞

I agree. I think she looks great. Design is good, she looks strong. But certain people have problems with it:

Others are bothered at the fact that apparently DEI had something to do with the character:

    Wacky convo also

Who are these omegadorks who are getting outplayed by an anon with an anime profile picture. You have to have a crippling porn addiction and severe isolation to be saying the stuff that this guy is responding to with basic reasoning. I'm talking about the kind of addiction where you push the 2 kilos of coke off your desk to make room for tissues and lube after the newest Mia Malkova drop.

I haven't played DS3, but I wouldn't say ER is worse than Sekiro. Two completely different games and I love them both,  but if I had to give one of them the edge it would probably be Sekiro.

None of them are really like ER. I think that they're really different and I think that there's some validity to the apples v. oranges issue with my comparison, but I think it'd be pretty disingenuous to say that they aren't worth comparing at all. They're made by the same developer who had that same vision that making a game with a great story, challenging enemies, exploration, patience and learning in a specific gameplay loop would be great. And they all are.

I think Elden Ring suffers from poorer environment design than in the other two I mentioned, but that the other two suffer from poorer exploration given the scope of ER. The strengths of ER influence its weaknesses, and vice-versa. I just prefer the other games. That's a more serious representation of my thoughts than just, "ER bad!"

  13. There's an indie game that I've really enjoyed playing called En Garde!

    https://store.steampowered.com/app/1654660/En_Garde/

It's currently on sale, and I bought it at that sale price. I regret not buying it a full price. It's an awesome and short little game that I smiled through all the way to the end. It can be fun to play with a partner or close friends watching, and it's charming way to distract yourself if you're alone too.

    Please do check it out!
