  1. The only thing that may give credence to this being remotely true is that Andor was golden. Reading the article it sounds like more of the same.
  2. In-Hand pictures of MP Skyfire https://news.tfw2005.com/2023/01/28/transformers-masterpiece-mp-57-skyfire-in-hands-images-474118#images Looking forward to it.
  3. I went out to Las Vegas back in December and was about to try it. My brother (who is a Zaxby's stan) stated "Raising Canes is Zaxby's but worse". Next time I visit, I'll be sure to stop in.
  4. CFA peaked circa 2008. Then it's like they became expensive for no real reason. I told my wife that I won't go there on my dime any longer. Yeah, their "corporate social commentary" is terrible, but spending almost $15 on a combo with a parfait is damn near silly. There is a Church's in my home town in SC. I've been meaning to try it again. The place has had it's sign missing for at least a few years now. They absolutely don't give a damn over there 🤣.
  5. I agree with you although you can say it has the essence of the "magical negro" trope. I agree that the past shouldn't be scrubbed but there are contexts where it is appropriate. Being from SC, monuments and statues being removed from government property for the obvious racial sentiment was one thing. This hits differently. It's not like Disney is trying to hide this classic.
  6. Saw this in an article. . . Line for Splash Mountain on the final day. Nostalgia for that ride can't be hitting that hard. One ride I honestly wish I did get to get one last ride on was Back to the Future The ride itself starts at 25:15. The aesthetic, the film's actors reprising the roles, the score, the time travel components within the vehicle all brought it to the next level. Watching it now, the modeling seems a bit dated but it's still one one my favorite ride sims that I've ever been on.
  7. Glad you are doing OK at least. Crazy how at a hospital visits can just be shrugged off. Had a similar scare back in 06. Finals week in college and all of a sudden had a fever that hit 104.5. My eyesight had me thinking everything had that rainbow "film" when you wash oil off of a driveway. Went to the ER, checked in and about 30 min-1hr later and had a room. They gave me Hyper strength Tylenol and Advil, monitored me for about 2 hours and then said, "alright, have a good one".
  8. There honestly may be a possible correlation based on their stock price and market cap between Feb 2021 and now.
  9. Mando is the comfort food for the franchise at this point, and I am OK with that.
  10. Not really big on awards shows, but Ke Huy Quan's speech was something heartfelt
  11. Naaaaaaaah 😂 Any "big" purchases we check in with each other on. It's more a "we're not trying to replace anything in the house in the next few months" kind of thing. If it ever gets to the point where I'm buying purple diamonds, I'm already dead 🤣. Not gonna lie, it's actually the first time where I feel like the juice may not be worth the squeeze. I have thought about that as well as something different. It also can go between movie versions, which is also great. My current vehicle is the Sunstar 1:18 Time Machine from BTTF2 The cost is a pretty hard pill to swallow. At least with Transformers, moving into the Masterpiece line, there is a significant bump in quality, articulation, and polish. While the Hot Toys Release is more accurate, outside of lights and ratchets (for the doors), they pretty much do the same thing.
  12. So . . . checked in with the wife about the almost 1K 1/6 scale time machine (because you can't hide that 🤣). If I decide to proceed, that'll be the most expensive thing in my collection.
  13. This is definitely the case. Tom Cruise made the right call to keep this one off of streaming platforms. This scene is the exact moment that pushed me into loving this film. The movie made a time trial into a nail biting experience. Sure, you can emulate this at home with the right setup, but on the big screen it was something ridiculous. I also got the chance to see it in 4DX. Think of it as a lighter version of the ride simulators at a theme park (seats moving, wind, etc). That scene alone made the film honestly worth the price of admission. Also, new trailer from A24
  14. One of my favorite moments in Glass Onion. "NOOOO. . . .it's just dumb" -Beniot Blanc
  15. LRG is a company based right outside of Raleigh. I am surprised I haven't seen anything about them in any of the tech journals yet.
  16. Saw M3GAN tonight. C+ I really wanted to shoot over the moon for this one, but it was honestly just OK. The movie had some pretty solid bones, but it just didn't do a whole lot. Granted, every time the bot is on screen, it's great. Also, it's very clear this was a hard R and they reeled it in to make it a PG-13. This is more a "matinee and I'm bored" or "Netflix and clean" release. I don't regret spending the money as I had enough fun in the theater but you certainly don't need to rush for this one.
  17. I enjoyed the hell out of Broly. Personally, my favorite moment was the fight between him and Vegeta. The escalation throughout was top notch.
  18. I'm interested in this one. Broly was pretty awesome in the theater. Haven't kept up on Super Hero.
  19. The need for that will be relative to the need for it. It wouldn't surprise me if at some point you needed some sort of verification for creating a new Google account. It's only a matter of time before online anonymity is gone.
