If the game does come out in June, and Season 1 does have 6 characters as usual, they'd have to release a new character each month if they want to end the season before 2024. Releasing in the middle of the year kinda screws with how Capcom Cup and the competitive scene were organized before.
 
Also, American dates are dumb. What kind of logic it is to put the months first, then the days, then the years?

@EdmundDeal the with things the best way you can man. As for the beta, based on how good the netcode was in the previous beta. I'm sure you'll be able to play with people here.

To iterate what others have said, I doubt you could have done anything to help (or anyone for that matter).
 
It seemed to have happened very quickly and at least he was with you doing what he enjoyed. Those combined are extremely rare.
 
I don’t have much else to add, but to clearly state, this isn’t your fault.
 
This won’t be easy of course, so go through all of the emotions you need to. Don’t hold back and you can always reach out to us.

My heart goes out to you @Edmund. I can't imagine going through something that traumatic.

The community here is great. We needle each other but when push comes to shove we have each others backs. Whatever you need @Edmundlet us know man.

This probably goes without saying but you guys were 1,00,000 there during my mom's illness and the unfortunate things that happened before it, during and afterwards.
 
NONE OF YOU should ever feel you can't come to the forums when life is troubling you. A lot of shit was said about SRK being some type if ill mannered children, but an incredible amount of them were awesome to me and in turn i got to be awesome to them. Even when it feels weird, dropping a post is never a wrong thing to do when life is giving you the business.
 
@Edmund There are hella dudes in here that are gonna be happy to hear from you if you need it. I won't volunteer them but if say you need help and would like somebody to reach out, for sure people here will hold you down.

Best advice I can give is to let yourself grieve. Scream, yell, cry, sit alone, do whatever you need to do. Don’t feel pressured to be over it in a day, week, month, year, etc. This is someone you loved that was very important to you, and there will be days it will be absolutely crippling. You’ll never stop thinking about them and there will be things that remind you of them.  The good news is that after some time those things that remind you of them will no longer be just painful but also bring a sad sort of happiness. It becomes nice to have things that remind you of them. Cherish all the memories and pictures you have of your dad and remember all the good times you had together.

@EdmundI don't mean to sound selfish but when people drop into talk about really bad shit that happened to them I feel powerless to help in any way. I hope you don't blame yourself for his passing. The fact that you were literally went him till the end is extremely powerful. My condolences brother.

From what you've described I doubt that a trained medic right next to him could have done anything either.
Get rid of those thoughts as fast as possible because they'll bring nothing good.

Doubt i can say anything to take away the pain but stay strong and try and surround yourself with friends and family to help in these difficult moments.
