I'm not surprised, especially not that it's happening in NYC of all places. There comes a point where folks have to tell these "do-gooders" to go fuck themselves or we go down the path of no return, and there's a massive difference between Thomas Jefferson and Jefferson Davis, but of course that's not a discussion folks are interested in having. 

Cowboy Bebop live action being bad was predictable, since the main actress was running damage control and insulting the fans before the show even released.
 
But as everyone with a brain said, not every (good) anime needs to be made into live action. The 2 media forms are different.

Enes Kanter definitely going to need to be put in witness protection after his basketball career is over... pretty sure he is being watched everywhere he goes and not because he is a celebrity. Turkey has an extradition request on him, China has stopped streaming any games with him in them altogether, the Indonesian government was trying to hunt him down at one point.
 
He was supposed to come play against Toronto one year and wouldn't even travel from the US to Canada. An ally of the US  that works with the FBI and other US government agencies all the time. That's next level.

If you look at the MSM channels they were getting constantly downvoted and ratioed to hell.  This is about protecting powerful corporations because they can't stand the serfs not falling in line or listening to them.  Indie news channels were getting more views than the MSM channels on youtube.

Alliyah's music had been hard to come by for a long time due to someone in her family holding rights or something to it so people were fighting to make the music available again through streaming and digital services.  It was ongoing for years.  This commercial was the signal that the fight had finally come to an end.

I don't know if this is real or not but I had to see it and so should y'all...
 
 
 

Its like I told a homie: the Cowboy Bebop anime is one of the best examples of the artform there is. It doesn't need a remake. You can either watch the original show or fuck off. It doesn't matter what they do after it because the original is amazing in itself.
 
The live action show could be cool but there is zero point to it.

At the ongoing Welcome to Rockvillefestival yesterday, New York collective Brass Against were performing, and frontwoman Sophia Urista kept saying she really had to use the bathroom.
I guess she asked the crowd if anybody wanted to be peed on and one fan into water sports was more than willing to take the brunt of Sophia's #1.
Sure enough, the below footage shows the fan getting onstage during Brass Against's cover of Rage Against the Machine's "Wake Up." Sophia pulls down her pants and thong and whooosh there it is! Impressively, Sophia continues to sing while, uhh, going.
In an age when it's hard to get your band publicity, this is sure one way to do it!
 
 
 
Man, those V.I. pee passes are crazy

My old coworker died yesterday. She was my semi-boss (she was the payroll manager in HR, I was the accountant responsible for recording payroll).
 
She was in her late 60's so it wasn't exactly unforeseen. I have no idea the cause, it could be any chronic illness or temporary sickness.
 
I haven't spoken to her in probably 3 years, so no condolences necessary. It was sad though.
