I work in higher edu basically the 'IT guy' of my department.  I do everything from reporting/data analysis, software implementation, programming/writing scripts for automation, test/QA systems we use post IT patches/upgrades  etc.
 
Pros:
-union contract
-lots of holidays off. Basically if it's a federal holiday, 99% it's a paid day-off.
-summer schedule aka work only 4-days. <-- The main *REASON* why I really stay in this sector
-remote work once-a-week 
 
Con: 
-Salary is not high compared to private sector
-no end-of-year 'bonus'
 
   I actually just joined the six figure club earlier this year also. I prolly could've reached it earlier had I stayed in the previous  Ivy League uni but then again I prolly have no hair/dead by stress by now🤣. Out of my friends, I'm the only one still with lush hair just like in high school😂

If done right, a remake can actually improve the originals but there has to be a line somewhere; these remakes are getting ridic!!

Due to circumstances, I'm working from the campus of my alma mater today.
 
In case anyone was wondering, college girls are still smoking hot.

Just got a call my father had a stroke, or a diabetic attack, we aren't sure which. Im told he arrived at the ER with a blood sugar level of 400 (holy shit)  and hes lost movement in one of his arms...just keep him in your thoughts for me guys. 

Havent told anybody super close to me yet, but the company I quit my previous job for just laid me off. Went in for my shift and the captain hit me with the news. Anybody that ain't a tankerman was removed from the boat in order to save the company money
 
I know struggle builds character but this a hell of a lot of character development I've endured in the past month. But I've come out on the other side of this before, I'll do it again. 🤷🏾‍♂️
