I get the rationale, but with NRS games you are typically looking at it becoming irrelevant after a couple of years. Plus, as someone with a low skill ceiling, it takes me a while to pickup fighting games and I'd really don't want to hop after everyone else has had 18 months of experience.

Unless you're a tournament player, NRS games aren't worth getting at launch.
Just wait for the GOTY version in 1.5 years and save yourself wasted funds on the premium edition.

I mean...it's great that they have a plan and are prepared for contingency I guess but at the same time it's also incredibly tone deaf lol.
