One of the most egregious things about old SRK was the negative buttons actually hiding posts once it got neg bombed enough.

No matter what happens, i'm here for good. Considering that SRK is owned by Wiz, who by all accounts seems to be a pretty bad human being, and it was sorta of a pity party about how good it used to be a lot of the time, this move is pretty nice. 
 
Whatever happened at SRK that caused the move is over and done with. MisterBee seems like he really cares about this site, and is looking to improve it, so might as well stay on the ship that's on her maiden journey than jump back on the one that's held together with duct tape and bubble gum.
 
This place feels optimistic, SRK is kind of a bummer

Well the thing was that with pages, you could sort of leisurely keep track of convos and stuff. Then it was easy to link to the start of a conversation by linking to said page.
 
Scrolling made it really weird to look for info. New pages were also hype AF when things were going quickly. When some shi- goes down and there's new pages...😂 👌
 

Pages feels less convenient for just general posting but it feels so much better when you’re going back looking for something. 
 
Much easier for me to go “I think that was on page 9 or 10” than it is to figure out m what post number it was out of several hundred on a single “page”.

Its so weird having pages again. Not complaining about it; but after all the time in discourse it feels like we just went through a software change again.

Its kinda weird. The insane bullshit over at SRK was sort of keeping a lot bottled up. But I had to steel myself to deal with all the chemo trips and other things involving my mom. I've sorted of started cracking after getting banned by d3v. Not because the ban affected me per say, but because once I didn't have trifle nonsense to deal with, my brain went into processing the big loss.
 
So Its tough right now. My daughter notices that I'm just not at full dad mode. Mind you that I was doing home schooling with her and keeping her on a very set schedule...then everything with my mom went down on her last few weeks and its been a lot of turmoil after a month of stability.
 
But hey, SRK is now down with an admin who will protect gnarly ass bullshit and apologize to the people saying fucked up shit in PMs he read and did nothing about. Even more so, he'll apologize to the person who said the bullshit in public.

Either way, Imma be chillin in here if y'all don't mind. I know left the discord. like I told misterBee, rather communicate in honest to god forums than in chit chatty chatrooms and all that jazz. 😂

Remember when SRK actually had pages, reactions, and avatars big enough to see. Well Discourse was a bad dream, you've woken up. Now you have pages, reactions, and avatars big enough to see.

Because some dude sent me some deranged shit, I chose to quit SRK instesd of banning him and potentially starting a bigger issue.
 
Then the same looney sent me an apology that blamed me for misinterpreting his previous PM. A PM that compared my mom's cancer to SRK.
 
So i came back and put everything publicly to make sure this one nut would leave me the F alone. In the process I called d3v out for letting foul stuff rock. He tried to get me to keep it in PMs (where he ignored it). Obviously I refuse because I wasnt about to have more foul stuff said to me in private.
 
So he apologized to the guy who said f-ed stuff to me in the lounge because I didnt keep it in PMs. 
 
Then I got banned for that.
 
So here we are. SRK 2020: Your mother dying is fair game.
