  1. Dead Cells run---I played 5C just now...it's quite a thrilling adventure in there....eventually got killed in Slumbering Sanctuary though. On another random note--- Blood Hunt finally got a new clan/character class I see.... Tremere (they are basically the "blood mages/warlocks" clan in the lore.) I still wish this game wasn't just a pure multiplayer battle royale (+team deathmatch they added later) thing though.
  2. When I was a kid I first heard of this legendary song on a commercial for a blues hits collection album, I think... and it was shocking that it even got those few seconds of airtime on a regular tv commercial--- Strokin' I looked it up now and yeah...apparently it was indeed too spicy to get played on the radio at the time 🤣 Even as a kid I was thinking right away "there's no way they can get away with playing this on the radio, can they?"
  3. so on this last Dead Cells run just now... I finally got to "Hand of the King" and actually killed him on 4C! I was skeptical that I would get a win here; I only had 2 potion charges left when that fight started... but the damage output was serious since I had 29 points on Tactics this time... 2 of my usual turret choices (sinew and cross-bo-matic), but this time a boomerang IX annd Pyrotechnics VIII ...great synergy with the sinew slicer's bleed effect because Pyro had extra damage to bleed.... + another boost since the boomerang puts inflammable oil on enemies. The damage bumps from my usual tactics passives are pretty insane as well... Tranquility = at this level I had 53% bonus if no enemies are close Support = 38% while close to a deployed skill like the turrets (*this is in addition to the +10% damage from each of those turrets!) Ranger = next ranged attack after using a skill gets +9012 damage. The Giant fight right before him....it was like I was bullying him with that much damage... big chunks of his health getting easily knocked off and he was dead in record time.
  4. I'm all for any kind of scientific advancement that could result in a new era where humans take control of their own evolution..... it could ultimately be better than the shitty design that humans are currently plagued with, being so weak and easily injured or killed, and being susceptible to a ridiculously long list of diseases and horrible conditions. On another note----yeah I've probably watched that bodycam footage of them shooting that bitch a somewhat "unhealthy" # of times. I recorded it just in case it were to get eradicated everywhere online anytime soon....making sure I had it permanently. There's a satisfaction I get from watching a piece of trash get exactly what the fuck they deserve.
  5. So the bodycam footage was released of how they gunned that bastard down yesterday at the school; I'm surprised they let it stay up...maybe it's alright since they blurred a couple of things I guess... (I saw it on twitter from Curtis Houck from about 6 hours ago; I'm not even sure who that dude is but he was linked from someone else I noticed on instagram) there's 2 angles of footage on it as well. No hesitation; they ran up in there and took care of business asap....some real justice for a change. *on the other hand, there could've been a better and more harsh consequence if she had been taken alive though... like a life prison sentence thrown into the chaos of "General Population"...and perhaps the others somehow find out that 3 of the victims were kids....then the other inmates would take it from there.
  6. Well, for the D&D fans this is about to go live in a minute, I just noticed. this reminds me---that first trailer for the new movie looked bad, imo... but the 2nd trailer they released is much better; a bit more serious in tone like a "real deal" action-fantasy adventure kind of thing that I might care to see at some point, perhaps later on video. (still not quite on the level something I'd want to see at theaters asap)
  7. The abundance of content just keeps piling up... so "Have a Nice Death" is already out on Switch (25 bucks); I forgot it was about to be released this soon....I just noticed while browsing "recent releases". I already have it on Steam Deck but I'll most likely get this version as well. Remnant From the Ashes is out as well for 39.99--I have this on XB1 and it's a good one. ...AND Kung Fury for 20. I never played that when it was originally out (it was either XB1 or from the 360 "Live Arcade" days) I also got Squad 51 vs. the Flying Saucers (*also on sale at the moment) when it released about a week or 2 ago, but I've only played a little of it. random sales--Capcom Fighting Collection is 20 bucks right now; 1 day remaining.
  8. Every time I hear someone mention "MK ULTRA", my mind instantly thinks about it like that's one hell of an awesome name for a new Mortal Kombat game, perhaps a MK/Killer Instinct crossover. You know that if they announced that as a new MK, the sales and hype would be off the charts....especially as a crossover with KI, with that infamous Killer Instinct announcer for maximum "ULTRAAAA!!!!" hype. The more I think about it now, the more I want this hypothetical game. I'd buy the legendary "special edition" of it too.
  9. Ohhh yes, the rabbit-hole runs deep on that particular "lolcow" Chris Chan.....though I'm not fully up to date on him. I was more a fan of the DSP lore. (Phil also did an interview recently; I might have to check on that) I am curious to see the "manifesto" from this latest shooter....it's always a manifesto that pops up from these loons. This one killed 3 kids and 3 adults at that school.
  10. ^then of course we now get the occasional article or blogpost, etc rambling on and on about "why don't men approach anymore?". They stopped being worthy of any kind of "risk" a long ass time ago. Pretty much any interaction with them can easily lead to your life being destroyed. They're just dangerous, life-destroying creatures at this point, armed with the luxury of a weak society that goes way out of its way to make sure they never have to accept consequences for whatever crazy shit they say or do. A certain side also wants us to continue in the "believe all women!" thing too, of course, and they'll just keep making 1,000 excuses for why there shouldn't be anything bad happening to false accusers....that's the other thing that disgusts me; that so many people continue making excuses for them, no matter how crazy the situation is.
  11. Dead Cells----yeah I'm remembering now... I did play Survival quite a bit the last time I was hooked before taking a break; I'm on a Survival run now with 27 points; about to hit the Lighthouse. That Giantkiller sword was definitely my favorite weapon for Survival, though now it has strong competition with the new Death's Scythe....heh, and that's exactly the setup I have right now; Giantkiller IX-S has 22k dps regular... and 80k dps for critical... along with +80% damage to poisoned enemies, and my "scavenged bombard" (that cartoony-looking cannon) causes poison status. Yep; the damage was just ridiculous...at least on a mere 3c; the Queen actually had no chance but DAMN I love that fight; I haven't gone there in quite a while... the tough part imo is the lead-up to the fight with her, since you have to fight her servants while ascending the lighthouse, ultimately fighting all of them at the same time. I forgot she basically has Vergil's "Judgement Cut" super that you have to dodge between all the slashes that appear....definitely one of the coolest fights in the game there.
  12. Usually, my favorites are the Longbow; I think that's the name... the one that does crit damage from a long distance, and pyrotechnics or Quickbow, or that kunai/throwing knife...oh yeah or explosive crossbow is a good one too, though it's slow which is of course dangerous for certain situations. The blowgun is another good one I started using more often recently....that's the one that poisons enemies and gets critical hits if you shoot them in the back...perfect for an "assassin" kind of character build, like if you have Phaser to quick teleport behind enemies for the cheap-shot in the back. Magic Missiles is another good one that's also very fast and has some degree of tracking the quick flying enemies; even better than pyro in that regard. For my backup items it's always that heavy turret and cross-bo-matic or the sinew slicer. Another good option I like to have is the Wave of Denial; it's incredibly useful to knock bombs and other projectiles away or blast enemies into walls or off ledges for cheap kills....and it has a very low cool-down so it can be used often.
  13. Yes, Corpse Explosion, folks... Necro master race
  14. It would be funny if the recent "fruity" photoshoot ( I think it was Ebony magazine; about a month or so ago...it looked like what you'd expect of a Cardi B. photoshoot, or Lil' Kim or any other female rapper) that J. Majors was in might've been a pre-emptive defensive measure in case he got in trouble or outed for something "problematic" anytime soon....y'know, like a disciple under the tutelage of Ezra Miller, the "Mad Goose Wizard" himself. heh, that is such a great name... I should name one of my characters Mad Goose Wizard...it would just be a joke for me though; most people have forgotten the reference by now, I bet. I look forward to whatever else develops from that potentially juicy story though. That and the firing of Victoria Alonso has finally pumped a bit more life into the celebrity news cycle lately. I suppose if things blow up too much like the Ezra situation they'd ultimately have to get another guy to be Kang since they want to focus on him being the new major villain in town across multiple movies.
  15. Dead Cells---man, on this latest run I just noticed a room with a cursed chest on Undying Shores... but I already killed all the enemies here... so the only thing now is to fight the Scarecrow... no way in hell I'm taking the curse this time, hell nah man... Scarecrow happens to be one of the hardest bosses in the game, imo....it's super-fast, has attacks that hit pretty much everywhere most of the time, summons things that explodes, etc. etc. etc. *oh yeah, this is shaping up to be a good one... 25 points on Tactics; I'm only on 3c at the moment though trying to unlock stuff...funny how after so much 4 and 5c difficulty, playing on 3c feels like "taking it easy" now in comparison. There's so much to get to at the moment... RE 4 Remake but also the Diablo 4 beta only for a weekend, and my usual Dead Cells runs, and the Diablo 3 current season. D4 beta - I'm only up to level 10 on my necromancer.... I got to the point of having corpse explosion, which continues to be one of the best abilities in the whole Diablo series...it will probably always be pretty busted.
  16. ah, so Rhykker just went live on Druid: The customization already look very cool even with the very limited options in the beta. I just really wish they made this the same normal way that games used to be, where by default it could be played offline, and online multiplayer/co-op was like a bonus selling point.
  17. Vee shows off how some interesting things with the morning star weapon here in Dead Cells:
  18. Hell yeah I was finally able to get in on the D4 beta... I started a necromancer, and I got mine looking like a vampiric David Bowie with a bit of his Ziggy Stardust appearance. I went to the Darkness power right away which appears to just be another version of "siphon" from D3, I think..? My next skill was the blood nova ability....I'm assuming that the radius of the blast could increase at later levels. I only have the basic skeleton warriors at the moment; I look forward to level 15 to get the skeletal mages; those have always been my favorite necro minions.
  19. So Jake B. played Redfall apparently and has some thoughts; I'll have to check the rest of this out a bit later.. *I tried to get on the Diablo 4 beta earlier while on lunch break...but of course it said there was a 48 minute queue time so hell nah to that. ...I watched a little of some live-streamers earlier when I could---- seeing some of the (very cool) story scenes early on it just hit me... it would be cool if they had a lot of variance to the story in the world of Diablo....too bad there's zero chance of that though; it's typically very linear and most fans don't half care about the story anyway, sadly. ....but I was thinking...what if I'd like my character to actually side with Lilith? There should be more games like that where you can join the other side if you want; becoming one of the "bad guys" in the main story....take over the world or steal some powerful artifact or subjugate humanity or whatever the "dastardly plans" happen to be. I want more games where the storyline can go into all kinds of interesting directions depending on what the player chooses to do.
  20. My legendary "Hall of Famer" Halle is still out there looking so hot: https://www.instagram.com/halleberry/ https://www.instagram.com/p/Cpx4BTOrcwm/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CpvabMYOvWC/
  21. It's definitely not as often as a woman that's even average in terms of looks....because generally, no one gives much of a shit about men in the first place. In modern times at least it's mostly either indifference, condescending attitudes or outright hostility. A lot of people are even inclined to laugh at situations where men are victimized by a woman. (e.g. the hosts of "The Talk" and their audience laughing about a story where a man that was castrated by his wife...they later had to begrudgingly apologize about it.) Some of this may be different depending on region, of course (like when you grow up in a rancid, embarrassing shithole like Memphis, TN, for instance.) ...and of course we aren't allowed the luxury of being frustrated or angry and bitter about any of it either....then you'll just be kicked even harder while you're down. Nope, we're supposed to just pretend everything's perfectly fine and ok, no matter what happens. The amazing thing is when people are surprised that a lot of dudes end up pretty fucked up psychologically after a while.
  22. and of course, Lauren hit us off with more as well:
  23. whoah hold on now... Cyael just mentioned this briefly in a recent vid I was watching so I had to look it up.... https://www.vg247.com/redfall-studio-looking-into-reversing-always-online-requirement-for-single-player https://www.futuregamereleases.com/2023/03/arkane-studios-to-remove-always-online-requirement-for-redfalls-single-player-mode/#:~:text=Arkane Studios%2C the developer behind the vampire shooter, the developer understand player experiences and improve gameplay. Arkane Studios, the developer behind the vampire shooter Redfall, has announced its commitment to removing the game’s always-online requirement for single-player mode. This decision came after players raised concerns over the restriction, initially designed to help the developer understand player experiences and improve gameplay. I'm genuinely shocked here I had already given up all hope and assumed we're firmly in this era of "yeah fuck the customers; we can just do whatever BS we want and they'll buy the shit anyway." The first one I noticed was V-Rising; it was previously online-only but they pushed an update that changed that restriction...apparently Back 4 Blood did the same thing. I would've considered any hopes of companies changing course on this shit to be a lost cause, but apparently not.
