How am I a sheep when I constantly shit on Xbox for doing Xbox things and barely acknowledge their existence in the console market? I don’t even have gamepass you troglodyte. I can also count on one hand how many times I’ve used my Xbone since I bought it a year ago.

stats and sales of it and Xbox software show that it’s hugely beneficial for the Xbox brand, dev’s that let their games be on game pass (especially indie games), it’s market and it’s player base.

you being an insufferable douche doesn’t change those facts

    Because you disagree with him.

And he is clearly not a sheep, but the goat of alt <sic> time.

I mean as much as I hate this scene...clearly the Sith have a trouble with being over confident in situations if Snoke is anything to go by.  Dude can force choke and drag a person from way whereever the fuck he was in another ship but he can't seem to sense what's going on in the very same room he's in when he thinks he has everything under control

Episode VIII Snoke was a Kathleen Kennedy insert.

    He was a literal metaphor.

    For sucking.

I mean, Anakin was calling his bluff. So obviously Anakin was about to rush that shit down. Kenobi didn’t really need science to figure out where Anakin was going to land.

No. It isn’t. Again, Anakin was calling kenobi’s bluff. Maul was taken by surprise. Huge difference.

Maul should not have been taken by surprise.

He was in the heat of a battle. And Force users... can sense opponents, life force, etc, et al.

Star Wars got 2000s Marvel fast and loose with its canon, in the Prequels.

The "Don't Jump" Scenario was exactly it.  They were over lava and Kenobi had jumped onto the larger land mass after a light saber battle on a smaller platform.  Anakin maybe could have jumped further away from where Obi Wan was but anything that he did from that platform was going to predictable with Kenobi on high alert.  Anakin at this point had been high on his own supply so Obi-wan told him don't fuck around and find out.  Anakin decided he was going to find out.

Anakin could have reverse Mauled him.

Anakin literally did this against Kenobi only to get bopped for his troubles.

But that make no sense, unless Obi Wan could completely know where and when Anakin would be mid-air.

The PERFECT counterpoint to this stupid scene, is when he kills Maul.

    Also, Anakin went straight in.

    No aerial footsies.

Like Stu said.  Kenobi told Anakin straight up that he was charging down back and Anakin didn't believe him.

But it isn't like they can't zig and zag, mid-air, as has been shown.

And charging down-back makes far more sense for the one on the low-ground.

It's a "Don't Jump" SF scenario for Obi Wan.

For Anakin, it's more like "Old dude is in Unfly, wait for an opening".

But all of that is rendered moot, in light of The Force completely defanging the concept of verticality.

Sure it does, but it happens more when the government prints money endlessly without thinking about it. Bad financial policies like this are part of why we are where we are. You can say "x industry is a joke, people should raise their standards" but people on the low end of the economic spectrum are the ones who will get fucked the most when prices go up. Sure, it's only 50 cents here and there, but that adds up, especially at the grocery store.

The ethical issue is that the government rewards them with bailouts, tax incentives, and corporate welfare with taxpayer money rather than using that money to do for the taxpayers. The government creates and enables the situation that allows the corps to make those profits and government & corps are two sides of the same coin, neither have quite as much power without the other. If the government would stop trying to prop them up, the market would be all true better for it, but we've been living under terrible financial policies for so long that people actually think the things I just mentioned are "capitalism."  They aren't. They anti capitalism really.

The ethical issue is that they have bought and paid for, and thoroughly corrupted the government, to where the government does their bidding, and passes laws accordingly.

    Which IS end-game Capitalism.

I wonder if they all had a laugh when he sang that line lol!

Uh wow. Never heard this song but man, that ending I did not expect 😮

I like the twist in the Pina Colada song. Guy decided to cheat on his wife by answering a personal ad, guess to meet the woman, and it turns out it's his wife. I never really listened to the lyrics if the song but when I finally did, I was like

    GIF by Lifetime Telly

    Cus that's some good writing.

The whole Depeche Mode "Somebody" thing doesn't really work for me.

    Fourth Wall Breaking never did.

Might as well fart hellaciously at the end

It's not so much keeping wages depressed as much as it's that those jobs are jobs that they can find anyone to do in normal times, especially in economically depressed areas.

If they blanket bump up the minimum wage to $15, prices will go up in a lot of areas, not just fast food. There are minimum/low wage workers in healthcare, geriatric care, child care, grocery, pharmacy, and a lot of other industries that you wouldn't guess, and the costs of those things will go up to accommodate the wage increase. The corporations will still pocket the same amount, and they'll likely get the same government subsidies they were getting before, but now you and I are paying more and little else has changed.

But the cost increase that will inevitably happen will basically just take us back to start. The people who got the raise will eventually be in the same place they were before because prices will go up on things they buy too, they'll  have more money but it will only go about as far as it did before. Only difference will be that the numbers are bigger.

    Yes, but as you say:

The corporations will pocket the same amount.

    That's the problem.

    That is the ethical issue.

I want a sequel to Double Dragon Neon with all the kinks of the 1st ironed out (or just build a new game with the RCG engine, that'd be better honestly).

I want one in the Streets of Rage 4 engine, but noticeably more muted yet nuanced in its combo craziness.

I loved the concept of Neon - basically RC DD, but I hated that the whole game was built around the dodge mechanic.

I want impactful hit stun, dammit.

Even the original arcade game had that.

Having a mental battle here, I got in possession of a pretty hard to get item. An associate saw and tried to get it from me. I told him 3+ times I wasn't trying to trade/sell/give it away and eventually relented due to his incessant pressuring.

But honestly, I still don't want to make the exchange and it's been bothering ALL DAY. I like to keep my word but I know I'm gonna be PISSED after I go through with the deal. I'm seriously considering backing out or at the very least renegotiate terms

I'm leaning towards holding up my end but that voice in the back is like "Nah, fuck that, stick to what you know best". What yall think? 🤔

    Fuck him.

    Coerced promises are null.
