Can't we just all agree that Strive will be GG as long as this still applies.

Soooo, I watched trough this 2 1/2 hour thing.
The UI has improved, the portraits are now static, the RISC bar is still tiny but better visible than before, we got Burst now.
Now the biggest change I noticed as they were playing , Counterhits no longer cause massive slowdowns, well not all of them, seems that they use some key moves for the slowdowns, I'm ok with that, it's not every move anymore and only special ones.
The Character Select and the UI could use more flare tho, they still look a bit bland, but the UI has improved a lot just with a bunch of small changes.

Ram looks interesting, she will definitly be completly different from Xrd, what I'm kinda ok with. Also being considerd to be a Balance character now, they probably shoto'd her more. I do find it interesting that her swords now come back automaticly. At least it looked like that. Her winscreen is Top Tier btw.

Overall Damage seemed a bit lower. Black Samurai Dude looked boring, looks to much like Hakumen from gameplay and Hakumen is the single most boring character in all of BB.
Worldwide release on PS4/5 and PC. Still wonder why people always doubt the PC Release. Release Date in Aprile.
    Waiting for more news

I need Cipher to come over to my house and kick me in the nuts for playing SFV... I was labbing a couple different characters and sat in training looking for a 4-5 bar casual match for like an hour and it didn’t find anything. Not one.

i thought maybe my Internet was acting up (and maybe I was showing up as one bar connections, to which everyone else filtered out or declined), but after I gave up, I went to MK11 to lab some stuff and decided to play online and found three sets, basically immediately, all of which played perfectly. I can’t with SFV anymore, but I know my stupid ass will boot it up again in two months.

still, I do have issues with MK11, and sometimes I wonder if I really like it, or if I’m forcing myself to like it (because of nostalgia and a great netcode with a large playerbase).

There's no need for you guys to insult each other You'd better like me because I run this damn place
"Dead Game" is one of those things that mean something different to everyone.  I have logged onto Granblue PC randomly and seen a whopping 3 people in the NA lobby during peak hours.  Yes there are people on Discord but it's easy to see something like that and think a game is dead.

Can we all agree this is a huge reason why rollback is important? You’re not as region locked.

Healthy in the FGC isn't the same as Healthy compared to CoD or other game standards.

Also judging older games by SF5/Tekken standards is not remotely close to fair assessment.

Arc games might not be completely dead on PC but the average number of random players at any given time is smaller compared to console.

On PC it's more common to find matches through Discord because the normal in-game lobbies tend to be empty.  It's not that PC has no players -- you just have to take the time to find matches yourself through other methods first.

Steam charts are also not a good indicator of PC fighting game health because people only boot up a game when they are playing matches that they've set up.  Once the match is over they quit the game and so you're not gonna see a lot of concurrent players showing up online.

I play a lot of Melty and that scene is booming on PC, thanks to the fan-made rollback version.  There's a constant new influx of players because the game is free and easy to get your hands on.  But all the match-making is done through Discord and people sending each other their IPs for hosting games.  Melty's case is especially interesting since everyone is using CCCaster/Community edition.  Steamcharts are useless because nobody uses the Steam version.

TL;DR: PC fighting games are healthy, but you gotta set up matches with Discord.  Console definitely has more casual players just sitting around in lobbies.

Ten hours until the Strive stream happens.

The players and characters for the exhibition are:

    Fenritti(Ky Kiske) vs Tomo(Leo Whitefang)
    Dogura(Millia Rage) vs Takehara(Ramlethal Valentine)
    GO1(Nagoriyuki) vs Nage(Faust)
