  1. Seems like Capcom just threw all the staff to finish base game content first, it's weird how 4.5 months later 6 only released 2 additional characters

I know it's a bit of an unfair comparison but by this time post launch for 5, that game added 3 characters, a dozen costumes, 2 stages, a story mode DLC, and revamped the ingame economy by removing the zenny currency and nerfed earnings from survival mode

  2. Meanwhile ArcSys and Bandai are moving away from arcades with their franchises. Neither even mentioned doing a arcade port of strive or T8.

SNK stopped arcade releases a long time ago too.

Sega's arcade business has been suffering since 2020

Capcom slowly becoming the last beacon of hope for fighting games in Japan if you're into the arcade culture still

  3. The only way we'll see Haggar again is either if Capcom makes an all-star title, a Crossover fighting game, or resurrects FINAL FIGHT

There was a mention of a remake of the first game in the ransomware leak from 3 years ago but nothing has manifested since

It's otherwise painfully obvious Capcom see Haggar and Zangief competing for the same spot in the roster when it comes to Street Fighter, and they continue to give priority to legacy characters from SF2 rather than give more chances to newer faces. It's also why even in Marvel we've had Gief not Haggar in 1 and 2, and when the latter made it into 3 the former was nowhere to be seen

IV lasted for 7 years and went through 3 major revisions, they've added 4 FF CHARACTERS, ONE OF WHOM IS A GRAPPLER BY THE WAY, still no Haggar

V lasted 6 years and went through 2 major revisions and 5 seasons, added another 3 FF characters, still no Haggar

I'm not expecting him to pop up in 6 either. Fucking Carlos and Roxy have higher chances than him it seems

  4. Considering the dumb shit JSO activists keep doing it's likely a corporate funded group designed to discredit actual anti-oil movement to keep the corporations like Aramco and Petronas going instead of humanity collectively moving away from fossils.

Same exact story as when the campaigning against nuclear power took place and now Germany for example has shut down most of its down and went back to using coal plants for electricity

Surely you see why he must be restrained the way he is????

I do see why, I just don't agree with it. I'm not saying Jamie should just be in permanent necalli mode once he hits drink level 4, that'd be fucking ridiculous (plus how many characters are there that retain whatever install they have inbetween rounds across the genre?).

I'm saying between him and Manon they don't feel to be designed all that well to me, and there's a discrepancy among the resource management characters.

Call it a hot take or whatever.

Manon medals carry over between rounds because she has to land a command grab or get a combo punish to level up...she literally cannot gain without interacting with the opponent. Jamie can drink in neutral, combo into it, and has a super art that temporarily takes him to max level. Not trying to be rude but I’m pretty sure you have no idea how good either of those characters are if you think those resources are comparable at all.

Manon gets to delete an increasingly large part of your healthbar no matter how many rounds you're up or down vs the opponent

Jamie gets to become a decent character for one round by giving up his oki 4 times or spending 2 super bars

    makes perfect sense

Jamie is a strange one.  He's hard to put on a tier list because of his drink mechanic.  He starts the match as the worst character in the game but at level 4 he's top tier.  He's a momentum based character where some rounds really go his way and he looks OP and then others are a real struggle.

Jamie will jump up in tiers if Capcom changes the drinks system to be like Manon's so his levels carry over between rounds (but you have to drink one more time for the Necalli V trigger)

Gief in A-tier? Nemo is delusional. Usually I give the pros the benefit of the doubt when it comes to these tier lists but this is just nonsense.

The Itazan ptsd still haunts the guy

but really too many characters don’t have a compelling reason to burn super besides level 3. Either they have access to everything they need with drive meter (like a reversal) or their SA1/2 are just bad and not worth using.

That's why after watching the beta footage and trying out the demo for the trust time i felt that the Super meter is... Well... Kind of isolated? Like you use it ONLY for supers and nothing else - your command dash, parrying, guard cancel, armored crusher, AND ex moves are all tied to the same drive gauge.

They could've at least kept the ex requirement for the Super gauge since you keep the stocks between rounds anyway and it'd keep the strategic element of choosing what to prioritise, cashing everything out with a cinematic super or consuming a chunk here and there for some additional damage or making yourself safe or chipping out the opponent in burnout.

What we got instead is Supers are accessible to you at all times when thout having to choose just one like 3S, but once your drive gauge is gone you lose literally every all other mechanic present in the game
