I thought there was a no politics rule. This thread has become really shitty. Clearly some of you are not mature or informed enough to discuss this topic in an intelligent, reasonable manner.

Yeah that's the thing. These people are generally low education and low income, and definitely not science experts. Yet, it's amazing how they can spin stuff. All scientists and governments are in on some scheme and some random nutty youtuber or rightwing website tells the truth. Just crazy. In the past we'd laugh at these people as tin-foil hats, but there are so many of them now and they have too many platforms to spread their misinformation.

There was this false claim that the truth speaks louder than lies, but that's utter BS. Lies and misinformation have always spread easier. While it's true the government and elites often engage in propaganda and misinformation campaigns, the things these people choose to oppose are seldom challangable on the grounds they claim.

The only thing you can really do is buffer yourself as best as you can and engage in healthy habits. Quite honestly that generally requires at least a certain income level and amount of space and personal freedom. If you're stuck in an area of high misinformation there's not too much chance you have. Such is how the world works. Maybe this belongs in Unpopular Opinions.

I don't know who BrianF is, but I've seen him linked twice recently (once by AYO, and then on reddit). I think that's the type of person that kind of represents the FGC and is the gateway to the community now.

SRK was fun back in the day but it's been a looooong time. It's been so long the '09ers now think they're OGs and moved on themselves. Does SRK really need to exist in a world where the new FGC players are furries and mostly just want to play Smash?

Honestly it's past time to put that horse out to pasture. There's been like two previous end of SRKs where people came back and did their farewells. The second time there were way less people doing that and by now, forget it, very few people are going to come back or even care.

Anyone that cares at all is probably here.

lol man, I have a few thoughts on people that complain about this stuff.

But I'm lazy and don't like getting into any arguments.

All I'm going to say is that...what you're describing, that's like every culture and every time period outside of 70s and later America. American dating is very recent and still not accepted in most places around the world, including Eastern Europe. Sure some Western Euro nations adopted it, and you're seeing it also in some other cultures like in South America, but it's still considered crazy liberal and something only loose women do. China is also beginning to edge a bit towards it with a rising middle class and women's incomes, but it also had decades of a one child only policy so everything is screwed up there.

Japan's typically the most progressive and American oriented of the Asian societies, but they still do marriage interviews and call women "Christmas Cake" for being unmarried and over 25 or whatever. Plus they've got some serious issues in general.

I know you're not reaaaaally worried about the human race dying out, but I can assure you, people will keep fucking and biology will take over. If COVID killed literally everyone over the age of 20 tomorrow, society would rebuild quicker and easier with people hooking up and having children left and right.

You're supposed to still wear a mask. If everyone gets vaccinated and wears the mask for a year, they think that will get rid of COVID. I don't think it actually will, and it will take better vaccines that are probably coming in time.

sheeeitttt, I remember Neesa has posted some niiiiiice pics showing off major cleavage before as well.  No comment on whether or not some pics were saved...

y'know, with the Black Superman movie apparently being a real thing on the horizon...it would be great if they actually have his kryptonite being some gorgeous white ass; he's always mesmerized and weakened by the booty...especially white and latina ones.

PS2 being retro is hard for me to deal with. At least the emulation is pretty solid now I guess. Soon enough the XB360/PS3 will probably be considered retro as well. I think for me it would be cutoff at PSX for now, maybe PS2 to stretch in at most.

I've actually been playing PS2 again. Never finished Legendia way back, I'm almost done with the main quest but it's honestly a little boring so I'm not sure I'll finish it. Prior to that I'd played through Suiko III a few times and enjoyed it, and right no switched off to DQ VIII which is going well. I did a run of PSX before that, playing through Suiko I+II, FF7, SO2 primarily. Wasn't feeling it for FFT, Xenogears, SOTN. I don't enjoy gaming as much as I did when I was younger, I know I absolutely loved these games before but now it feels like I just don't enjoy some. The ones I did enjoy, I'm not sure why, but they tended to feel even better than today's newer games, which I'm not necessarily also fond of.

I'm old enough now that nostalgia can really kick in but also old enough that I guess I just don't enjoy a lot of stuff. I think this is the age that you start drinking a lot and probably using recreational drugs. Can't really work out and sleep as well as before so that's out, and it'd be weird to be chasing girls and getting hyped for that, kinda been there and done that. I guess some people still do that though.

I remember Boomers saying we would stop playing games when we got older, but I think gaming still has a draw, just I'm more selective is all.

I feel like I remember the name Stuart Hayden on the old SRK forums, but maybe not.

Mine is because I figured if The Rock is the Brahma Bull, Austin is the Rattlesnake, and a bunch of people are named after lions and dragons and other stuff, I might as well be Serpent. Nobody seemed to really use that one, the closest was Orton with the Viper which was later. Shortening it to Serp seemed natural and that's what most people seem to just refer to it, which works fine too.

I eventually looked up Serpent as a nickname. I think it's been used like twice before, one of the uses is some famous assassin/hitman or something. I guess maybe three times as the devil also goes by serpent, if you want to count that.

IRL I pretty much always just use my real name and pretty much everyone calls me that, but oddly enough a couple of times I'll hear Serp/Serpent and one guy said something like "You're Holy Phoenix?!?" which I thought was silly. The Holy Phoenix moniker I just stuck on their back when people were running around with clan tags or whatever, and is based off Flame of Recca's Kurei character. Super old manga/anime that I bet most people never heard of.
