Powerful. I’m not planning on playing Bloodborne or DS2 or Demon’s Souls. Bloodborne would be cool, but it’s just too much a hassle to emulate when I have 90% of ER ahead of me.

I'll always recommend Demon's Souls, even with it's faults and age, as I feel it's atmosphere is unmatched. DaS2 though can fuck off, either version, I don't think very highly of that one.

In under 10 hours on my save file, and 12.6 hours overall on Steam, I have completed Elden Ring. That makes four FromSoft games, the most in my friend group. How’ve you guys done?

I've got through all 4 souls games, Bloodborne, Elden Ring and Sekiro. I need to get to Armoured Core next.

You should do some more exploring in Elden Ring though.

And their customer service is absolutly fucking dog shit because Gabens from IT and believes in the ticket system. It's part of why I don't use Steam I Dread having to deal with Valve Customer Service should something go wrong with my account that would have thousands of dollars of purchases attached to it.

Fucking Sony and Nintendos customer service is better. Think about that.

I've always had good experiences with their customer service honestly

I started FFXV (I know, I m super late to the party) and boy do I love everything about this game except the combat system. It’s ass.

I played it at release and absolutely hated the combat, I thought the story and side quests completely sucked too but you'll get there. The boys are fun though and it's a shame they're wasted on such a shit game.

What is the obsession with making shitty horror franchises once a property becomes public domain? Winnie the Pooh also suffered the same fate

Quick  cash grab, nothing more. Someone could make a really cute platformer based on the earlier Mickey Mouse stuff kinda like Mickey Mania but why do that when you can splurge out some shitty horror movie/game

Though of a couple of black metal releases for you, you may get a long with

Behexen's last 2 releases feature more low growls, Drudkh I'm not too sure where else to look but they have a bunch of releases with some being higher rasps and some being lows. Behemoth have basically done lows for all their albums apart from like their first 2-3.

When you say you don't like the "shrieking" is it more the very high stuff like Cradle of Filth or just the general black metal vox?

Maybe Immortal would be up your alley?

Actually I like Death. I remember when Chuck died too, it was wild reading about that although I hadn't really listened to them at that point yet.

I wish the black metal singers sounded more like the death metal ones but I can't take the shrieking. I love the instruments and almost wish some of these bands would just go instrumental because I'd rather have no vocals than annoying ones. It double sucks because some of the black metal songs have really cool lyrics but I can't understand any of them and can't be assed to look them all up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And thanks @VirginDefilerfor the early birthday wish lol! It's not till March, but on that day, I'll be thinking of that Mario gif 😂

There are plenty of black metal bands/singers that use low growls rather than mid/high rasps... I can't think of any off the top of my head lol but they do exist.

Hey thanks man, that's a really good release. The tracks Breonna and Christopher are really fucking good, not quite sure I see any punk there outside of the standard punk influence in black metal but it could be lyrically I guess but I dunno, I've seen lots of newer bands going with the we're black metal/punk but I can only ever really hear the black side of it. Either way still really enjoyable.

Since the temperature is dropping and the days are shorter I've found myself back on a Paysage d'Hiver kick. Unapologetically  raw, atmospheric and cold as fuck. It's def not for everyone, even those who like the black metal scene, but to me it's some of most beautiful music written.
