Final Fantasy 16 is straight up action game. So if that's your bag then, you should be fine. I enjoy the narrative, I do like action games, so FF16 has been an enjoyable experience for me. To call it an RPG is stretch for me. I'm 76% through the game accord to PSN. I don't think I'll finish by Thursday though. So I may try to get some SF6 in the next a couple of days. My only real issue with the game is the length of the Eikon battles. They drag on WAY too long in my opinion.

The action focus of FF16 has me more interested than I'd normally be. I bought 15 on steam a good while back and haven't even tried it yet due to the expected massive time sink.

Kitase says it would be difficult and 7 Remake is not yet finished so he's not able to think about it.

1080p/60fps should be the defacto standard this generation.  It's mind boggling to me that we have games coming out in year 3 of this gen that can't get a constant 60fps.

That robocop game looks real pretty but I played the other games those devs made and they were shit.  They also looked really pretty and looked like they would be fun.  That rambo (rambo was kinda ugly) game and terminator game.  They were shit.  Felt like games that like Home Depot made in house and gives away with a tv stand or some shit.

    Lol you're probably right 😂

I'm actually doing concurrent runs of the game, one on PS4 and one on PS5 and it was a LOT worse on the PS4 to the point where I actually had to take the lock on off her and wait until she landed because I'd just lose her after the jump. That fight was a nightmare on the PS4. I wound up beating her in both runs though and it was actually good parry practice because the boss after her was a breeze in comparison. This game has incredibly tight and well done design so far.

It's not new at this point, but did you try Furi? Tough game, but you're not a glass cannon (unlike From's games) in it either.

I didn't stop with 4, but I haven't really played them much since 5. I was looking forward to really getting into 5 early, but the online- which I don't normally even enjoy due to lag, the hassles of waiting around for people, and the fact that you're usually playing against people who play constantly- just wouldn't work for me initially. Turned out the game didn't like my router, but by the time I figured that out, I had lost interest. Had a group of friends I used to play them with in person, but we've since moved all over the place- trying to play with them online these days involves trying to line up schedules, waiting around endlessly, everyone having to have the same revision of the game, there inevitably being friends of friends in the group that don't have whatever game, etc, etc. And in the very rare instance I do get to play with one of those friends, they're way out of practice and get frustrated quickly. I do miss the days of playing FG's with my friends in person for hours on end as a kid or in my early 20's.
Single player games are just way more enjoyable for me to jump in and out of for as long or as little as I have time for.

I dont play fighting games anymore.  Last ones I played was SFIV and BlazeBlue or whatever its called.  I dont care for online stuff and there is no where to play local anywhere near me.  Also I just cant keep up anymore, lots of kids out there that would crush my spirit.

I think this one wins VGMF for the year. F-Zero X has a killer soundtrack overall. As good as GX is, I still think X is better. More courses, and the soundtrack beats the piss out of GX's comparatively lame (and repetitive) OST.

I have a soft spot for those Tiger games even though looking back they're not the best. Still, they're better than, say, those football games where the "players" were just dashes of light. It's honest to God amazing how far games have come in just 40 years.

Started playing some SotN randomizers via sotn.io. They have some pretty cool presets (like Warlock mode that gives you 99 INT) and it's really breathed some new life into the game.

I forgot how much detail and love was put into this game. Even just little things like the fog that appears in the Outer Wall sometimes or the layers of ice on the puddles in the caves that crack when you step on them are just incredible little touches that show why the game endures to this day.
