  1. BB Crosstag was ok to me, but BBCF was great in my opinion, from both learning difficulty and on the road to mastery.
  2. I'm not exactly excited for Strive, because it looks downgraded and unimaginative in progress in order to cater to the newcomers. However, I'll buy it anyway, but that's unfortunately the direction that fighting game companies have chosen to pursue. The tournaments were fun to go to from this series back in time.
  3. It was such a nice game for it's time. I only have the Nintendo Switch version and remember the strong competition from GGPO back in time.
  4. It wasn't a bad game to me. I felt that it was underrated for it's time, as going that far to say. However, I still prefer Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting.
  5. Hmmm. My first online fighting game was Capcom Vs Snk 2 from the original Xbox in either 2003 or 2004. It was sort of a mixed experience with people using racial slurs when they were losing and mass rage quitters. Yet, the competition gotten me where I needed to be in that era, which I later transferred that knowledge and experience to other fighting games that was released after. So, I'm very thankful that I've invested so much time into it.
  6. What made me drawn to those two is that haunted was my past, where as "alive" is a renewal of me and would like to preserve it. Everyone has their wounds, but it's important to cope with them and improve your well being.
  7. That's definitely fair. I have the same problem finding matches from the new one on the Nintendo Switch. I should give it another chance. Something I could compliment from this series is that it mostly stays true to the previous installations. As much as like fighting games with a unique system on combo emphasis, I had to accept recently that I don't have the memory capacity anymore to be gradual in my progress with those newer games, as I usually go for all character combos, all character fundamental tools, applied to all character matchups to preserve the game's life. So, Samurai Shodown makes me grateful of it's existence, due to how basic, yet unique it is.
  8. I've only played the old school ones, but I don't see way not on buying the recent ones.
  9. It's very difficult and futile for me to lose weight on antidepressants in order to met the goal of obtaining an ideal figure that once met my standards. I was there with both worlds of being underweight and overweight. My premature and severe starvation and weight loss and was at 15 years old cost me some physical consequences as I've gotten much older. I suppose that my mental well being is more important at this time, as I've almost found myself in trouble with the law without the right medications. I use to substitute my medications with alcohol, which I do an inadequate amount of liquor, due to going to an substance abuse program last year. Other than that, it's been healthy eating and I can't overexert myself with exercising if I tried. I take multi-vitamins to tap into some energy and stability in other areas. It's mandatory for me to take supplements in order to be not fatigued and physically distorted in attempt to prevent post diabetes. I'm not even a sweets person, but my medication boosts blood sugar, which makes things frightening for me, as it's all very tiresome.
  10. Well, this is the only console I have, which I don't pay much attention to, but I should. All of the oldschool and oldschool inspired games are essential to preserving my interest.
  11. Hmm...I was a lurker around SRK from registering in 2004 to discontinuing the site in 2006. I think looking back on local competition from the sixth generation consoles, was with merit, but I miss the passion I use to have to pass the time. Before knowing SRK, the chess club and tournaments in the 1990s and challenging other schools were my primary focus. I felt like a big fish, but always felt unsatisfied with my progress due to the difficulty of finding competition, which I've also lacked direction and support. It was enlightening to come across a grandmaster, which I wanted to experience more of it, but without the funds to travel all over, I discontinued chess and that's how I've found the SRK site back then. I have a habit on reflecting on the past. Though I see this community as comfortable. ^_^
  12. Well, I don't have any favorite fighting games in the market currently, but I give any sprite based one, old or new, the benefit of the doubt. I also like Arms, but I prefer Virtua Fighter, Virtual On, Bushido Blade, and Tobal. Tekken, Soul Calibur, and Dead or Alive are acceptable at best.
  13. King of Fighters 1998 and 2002 for me. The Ultimate match versions were preferable due to the larger roster.
  14. I like the series, but I just have mixed feelings of leaning toward the new one as ill-advised to bother with any further, because I don't like the 3d in 2d fighting games, and it seems more lenient in utilizing the super meter, which other newer generation games fall into this. I have prehistoric tastes and very picky when it comes to this genre, so having more options to win when losing on that subject turns me off, as I've never cared for supers. However, it doesn't make games after the pre-super era bad games. Currently, Samurai Shodown 5 Perfect is my favorite along with the second one.
