    The main issue with ryu to me isn't that ken does everything better etc. it's that his denjin charge or whatever you call it almost feels like a nerf, I remember reading somewhere that it actually makes ryu worse in a way because you lose pressure,oki,etc. by stocking it.

    1/2 for me. I actually do like sf6  I like it's mechanics, combo potential, etc. what I do not like is that none of the characters are clicking with me, ryus too basic AGAIN. Half the roster are store characters so to me they feel like your fighting your opponent AND fighting time to load your stuff.

    They don't need to send you full screen, they're not zoners, they WANT to keep you close. If you get hit by a fireball d,df,f+Kick thrn yes he can also get you with it but you have to not block it FROM FULL SCREEN AWAY lol, that's the exact same thing as ryu doing a fireball from full screen away and then doing level 2 super if the opponent doesn't block the fireball, it will also connect. Im
    not saying jp isn't top tier, or that he needs it, I'm saying other characters have strong stuff too, he's a zoner he should have powerful zoning tools, but pretty sure he has trouble against faster characters coming in going ham etc. Honestly to me top 5 right now (which can change soon as the game is new) are jp,ken,guile (yes guile mofos) and dumb ass luke.

    Can't find a main and the first season dlc includes rashid and ed, can it get anymore lame than that geez.

    I think the last version of Sfv was very very good, but I like sf6 much better, you get to have fun at the beginning of the match not when there's 10 seconds left, I'm not sure if sf6 has a priority system but if it doesn't it should imo, and yea I think this is an unpopular opinion but crush counters were awesome, stopped people from just using lights on everything.

    ^this is what I'm talking about, 1 out of 6 times you'll get a dash instead of a drive rush. HOWEVER... I tried what @Voltsuggested, to do the shortcut but press the parry buttons just a tad faster than the second forward input and I think that solves the accidental dashes issue. So yea I'd use shortcut but press the parry just a millisecond before the forward input and I think that would be optimal.

    So I was watching a vesper arcade tip video on drive rush, and you know how everyone thought the drive rush shortcut was awesome (instead of holding parry then forward forward you just press f,f+parry) well he mentions that it's better to just do the regular cancel as it's way more consistent and he's right, no wonder I thought doing the shortcut felt not that fluid. He mentions that he believes even pros dropped the idea of doing the shortcut in real matches. Do you guys use shortcut or agree with him?

    Yea but I'd rather have something 100% consistent than 80% optimal. The last thing you want is to try to close out a round and get a raw dash instead of a drive rush cancel. Also for the shortcut you need to reset to neutral to even begin it. But I'm definitely a scrub and most likely don't understand the mechanics as good as everyone else here.

    Man I just can't main a store character, juri,kimberly,jamie, seem fun but I can't get over the idea that I am not playing a "complete" character because of the stores they have to acquire. I guess they're just not for me.
