  1. Greetings,

    Here is another KOFXV update.

The first video is a small series of matches between May and June, including the Kim and Sylvie character updates.

    Spoiler

This is the boss fight with Goenitz.

    Strategy:

Goenitz' AI is designed to be very frustrating (this is an SNK tradition).

    - He combos very easily from his crouching B (light kick).
-Goenitz has easy access to quick overheads to compliment his crouching B.

    - He WILL even go for cross-up combos.

    - Will use super moves without even having meter available (particularly a quick command dash-canceled grab super and a hurricane super where you have to time your rolls.

    - He has a lot of invincibility frame sprinkled between a lot his advancing moves and his DP (which does not have invincibility).

    - Goenitz is NOT as safe as he looks if he tries to combo from his overhead (being vulnerable to close C/HEAVY or the players lights).

    - There are also gaps between Goenitz' blockstrings that make him vulnerable or at least avoidable.

    - Goenitz CAN be cheesed in the corner but setting it up is somewhat difficult.

  2. Greetings,

I am very sorry for being out for so long. A lot of things popped up at once but work stuff is straightening out again.

I got a hold of Steet Fighter 6, giving both Cammy and Ken (with some Chun-Gunners) a good go for the time being.

I will show up on a semi-weekly basis to hang out or showcase some cool stuff.

Just got done dealing with the Goenitz boss fight (poetically so with my Kyo utilizing a Max cancel finisher).

All the same, I also hope everyone else is doing fine for themselves, especially on just life stuff and fighting game pursuits.

  3. If there is a season 3, the next (Boss) DLC will likely be Mr. Krizalid himself, as he was among those who were brought back from Verse's loss and disappearance.

Meanwhile, here is a recent video of a match set involving Kim himself.

The guy does a shit ton of damage if he so much as even lays a finger on the target.

God help em' if Kim has meter. He has a braindead easy 2 bar combo that gives about 580+ damage from a standing D.

Coincidentally, Kim's VA is the same as the one who voice the anime legend KENSHIRO himself.

The match video is in the spoilers below for those who are curious.

I have an early Holiday gift for you.
It is in form of a TAS video, concerning Street Fighter.

You'll understand the context... when you watch to the very end.

It will put you in a good mood.

    Imagine a scenario:

    E. Ryu and Shin Gouki fight.

    Okay. Cool.

    M. Bison strolls on in to show Gouki what real power is.

Such is the curse of a martial artist...

    To clarify

This is the series I am talking about. Project '00 is readily available and scanned online various places but "End of NESTs" has been a phantom I've been chasing for YEARS so I'm fairly confident it is not scanned anywhere (though I could be wrong).

    Bookmarked and saved.
I really appreciate your efforts and preserving this

    Meanwhile,

I've been long overdue for a video. Here it goes: But, some people here may need some popcorn.

So put this on your television or laptop. Watch while doing some chores, cooking, or if you're just in search for some online KOFXV matches and interactions.

  6. I had a bad feeling about that Tekken Buttflix adaptation.

    Spoiler

1). Julia, Nina, and several other characters are not in the correct costume attire (Tekken 3, if we're talking chronologically, took place about 2 or 3 years or so before Tekken 7).

2). Leroy isn't even supposed to be in the third tournament.

3). The narrative really seems to want to frame it so that Jun Kazama "died." That (technically) didn't happen. She went "missing."

4). Paul Phoenix was supposed to mop the floor with the (Ancient) Ogre, only for Jin Kazama to fight True Ogre a while later in the climax of Tekken 3. Jin Kazama won the tournament on a technicality.

5). Jin Kazama was only half-aware of his Devil Gene, but he'd didn't really pay it any mind until after Tekken 3 when he was shot in the head by ya boy Heihachi (it triggered from him getting pissed off from his own betrayal, rightfully so).

... That's just from the trailer. And, more can likely be spotted and it will also be even worst in context of the actual show.

... Blah, blah, blah (The good news is, most of you won't have to listen to nonsensical rants like this because Tekken's storyline is already goofy in a lot of places anyway, with Tekken 7 being the worst example for a large number of reasons).

I did not see it but there were already a large number of discrepancies even before then.

    EDIT:

    Spoiler

... I watched the Jin vs T. Ogre fight:

I'm not sure if Jin was even using the Devil Gene initially (though it may have been the case in Tekken 6 because in Jin's narration, he stated that "something inside of me snapped."

Also. Buttflix did get it wrong. Paul Phoenix was robbed in this adaptation.

    EDIT 2:

    ...

    Spoiler

... Wasn't Nina Williams supposed to be possessed by Ogre due to her shell state from that weird-ass cryo-sleep?

The whole SFV story bits are terrible.

Retcons that ruin characters, more and more flanderization, making 1 dimensional characters 0 dimensional.

A lot of wasted newcomers, etc.

I would like to think that SF6 will turn SFV into a fever dream and ignore the events as they unfold and only left a general idea of said events as a basis to try to have a better narrative.

Oh, how I wish the SFV "stories" were written off that way. Because, most of them may as well have been some dumbass fanfiction-level nonsense.
