Welp....goal achieved, plat so far with Akira.

This lil girl is feisty.   I swear that fullscreen heavy elbow on their wakeup is some Balrog level of cheapness. This works more often than it should lol.

Few things to note from my experience so far

    • VT 1  + VS 1 definitely the way to go vs fireball characters as the enhanced ex fireball she does is your way to win vs fireball heavy characters and the wall bounce she gets is sweet.
    • VS 2 - looks cool but i think overall VS 1 is better to have as the air combos she does are not really the way to go in most scenarios imo.
    • She kinda feels like Karin lite to me. Kinda seems that she wants to do what Karin does but Karin does it better.
    • I would argue her DP is one of the best in the game. Heavy DP absolutely owns Akuma's air fireball in 90% of cases for example. The arc it has is very good.
    • She is imo very easy to pick up and play  and she hits very hard for simple combos but she is stubby as hell.
    • I have yet to find true use for her non ex fireballs as finishing into other special moves seems like the way to go.But they can be decent to counter other fireballs if you time them right since they have quite a lot of recovery.

    Juri: "What the-"

Juri: "What's a Akira? Eh, whatever. She looks cool. Oro seems like he knows a lot more crazy shit than that weird-ass Gouki guy. And, why the fuck does Luke remind me of that Steve Fox guy from the Iron Fist Tournament? What, he got the Devil Gene too? It's too damn easy to make fun of these guys! Oh... I have got to see these fools. I need some damn entertainment!"

  2. There is a part of me that wishes that Capcom would do a long-term remaster (or a MK Shaolin Monks/Yakuza-style beat em' up) of the Street Fighter franchise leading up towards the conclusion of SFIV. The purpose behind it would be for the player to utilize their favorite characters in the long-term and in a given scenario to clear up misconceptions or story details.

(Like the concept of Gouki's Shun Goku Satsu for instance. Because, there are still some folks that somehow believe that Gouki *literally* drags people into hell for demons to attack the victim for him, *EVEN AFTER* SFV outright put the final nail in the coffin of the dumbass theory. Yes. People actually still think that weird ass shit is the case. And, even then, SF itself was already insane with some of the narratives chosen for it to begin with, specifically from the angle of Alpha and a lot of stuff from IV and especially V).

It will also be cool idea to explore how characters were able to learn their signature moves, which can be done through a story-context angle or through an EXP system.

This will not happen and this entire statement is nothing but heresy and wishful thinking from some guy who likes hot female ass, titties and fighting games.

Damn, Rose actually got several good buffs. The Soul Punish orb, if detonated by an enemy fireball, actually causes a knockdown and 20 more damage now, and both her v-skills can be cancelled into from normals. The cards have much better frame advantage and can hit airborn enemies too.

And, thus... the Soul Powers have increased!

Well, it's easy, it's Medieval Allegory applied to animation and The Legend of Zelda.

The Wolf symbolizes sin within men in its violent and predatory form, his noble clothing is a form of social commentary on how people in positions of power frequently are also evil people who instead of leading their subjects toward righteousness and prosperity prefer to focus on their own greedy and sinful interests. In the animation the Wolf shoots down the Bird, a symbol of Peace, with his malicious gaze, symbol of his own greedy ambition. The death of the bird of Peace naturally leads into the Wolf's transformation into a Lion, a warlike animal that symbolizes strife. The Flames of War engulf the bird of Peace, and his remains are grisly consumed by the Wolf, who has turned into a more literal manifestation of his sinful nature, that of a devouring maw with an unending lust for material wealth and food.

Thus, we see the sins of ambition and greediness, very common among the ruling classes, leading to the destruction of peace and the beginning of war, all in the name of gluttony and lust. It is then up to the representation of the true Christian Maiden, Zelda, to fight off and defeat this vile manifestation of human sin, this is accomplished metaphorically by rejecting the desire for material wealth in favour of salvation for the soul, and also literally by having Zelda beating the ever loving shit out of that bitch-ass wolf, just like Jesus Christ Himself once did in the Bible.

We can therefore conclude that, if it wasn't for the fact that The Wand of Gamelon came out in 1993, this would have been considered a high point of late Carolingian art, and this is also a reminder that the CDI games are the only games with Zelda as a playable character.

    I... oh...

    Spoiler

As funny as the animation seems, let me be honest, I can at least appreciate these deeper narratives, even in alignment with what is shown at the surface level.

The shapeshifting ends up coming off as even more creepy when the viewer looks at it with full context and even in retrospect.

And, the idea of this incarnation of Princess of Zelda actually crushing this... evil entity in to oblivion is gives me great delight.

I watched that video, and Tina booty seemed so tiny. How can it do anything. Also I would think Cassandra and I'm sure I'm forgetting at least one other character would be in there.

Julia Chang (as Jaycee) and even Anna Williams also have an attack that involves using their beautiful ass.

On the subject of Street Fighter... and the new characters.

Akira is as cool as I projected her to be. Hopefully her move set and damage output will sell her this way as well.

Luke... while he does remind me of Steve Fox, he seems cool.

  6. Fucked around and bought Yakuza 0 again for the PC.

Invested so much time on the game. But, now every time I do a playthrough on that game, I don't have to worry about fucking PS4 captures stopping for "spoilers."

The final bosses (Lao Gui and Shibusawa) were just few of the many best parts of the damn game!

So on my SFV uploads, I'll do some climax battles or long-fights as interludes from Y0 to keep the asswhoopin's goin'.

Because, that's what most people like to see: Folks kicking ass and folks gettin' they ass beat.

    Spoiler

... and waifus and competitive stuff.

  7. Considering what took place with SNK when Terry Bogard became a thing in Smash, I find it disturbingly ironic that a Nintendo executives can summarize Tekken better than how *a lot* of top players or content creators do. Or, even Tekken 7 itself does.

They even have Kazuya's various command grabs in Tekken.

For the most part SFV is okay for me online. My biggest issue is consistency. Generally in other games, I can play someone online or I can't. In SFV, sometimes I can get good games with someone and sometimes I can't.

@Skort, myself, and many others can easily attest to this.

To provide another recurring problem is that we sit here waiting for matches and see what *appears* to be  four/five bar connection. Then as soon you accept the match... every now and then you are thrown into the rabbit hole of underwater hell against someone using some McDonald's wifi connection.

That's the bullshit we keep trying to avoid.
