  1. The more I learned about JP over these past 4 issues, the more he reminds me of a certain political destabilizer. At the risk of getting too far into real life matters, I won’t mention who it is. JP certainly isn’t a veritable madman but dang does he know how to con. Looking forward to understanding his reasons. I swear the first thing I’m doing when I pull up the game is fire up Arcade and go play as Ken and JP, finish the rest of the characters and play WTM.

  2. Since Eventhubs bites off of us, I figured I'd do the same (but at least I'm giving credit lol). Here's their theory:

Judging by her appearance in SF5 and SF3, we believe Li-Fen to be around 6–8 years old during those games.

The girl in the SF6 trailer appears to probably be in the 14–16 year old range.

Using those numbers, we can get a relative picture of 6–10 years passing between the end of Third Strike and Street Fighter 6 (assuming our estimation is correct).

That would be quite the massive jump for the series considering most of the events in the story up to this point have taken place over like a decade.

This 6–10 year hypothesis does make sense with what Capcom is seemingly trying to do with the franchise now by introducing a brand "new generation" of fighters beyond the previous bunch that were already given that title.

    Plausible....?

  3. Okay, I think we have a more concrete answer for how much time passed since SF3. I was listening to the localization director Andrew Alfonso and he said Li Fen was around 3-4 years old during SF3 and by the time of SF6 she’s teenage. So seems that we’ve advanced 9-10 years. I like it!! Go to 41:22 for that bit.

  4. I dunno man... This game doesn't feel like it's gonna be substantial with the story. I've mentioned before that I don't trust World Tour to give us a lot of significant story elements. Nakayama-san more or less mentioned that our avatar is main character, which I'm not feeling. No doubt the game is gonna be more fun than our past SF games, but I don't want bare bones for a story. The comic has been great though!

  5. I honestly don’t think I’ve had so much fun playing Street Fighter. I thoroughly enjoyed playing Alpha 3, but SF6 just feels great man. Not only that but I’ve changed my mind about how I play. I’ve always been ultra competitive and after a string of losses in ranked I’d be really angry, especially in my teenage years.

But into the end of SFV and transitioning to SF6, I’m learning where I’m overextending or not taking advantage better because I’m playing with a clear head. Playing to win is great, but inevitably leads to disappointment. Playing for fun is now the very first goal, if I get a win awesome; win or lose if I come out of a match and I’m still happy, I always win.
