  1. Hey y’all, so some really strange stuff is happening at my local GameStops to reserve the Mad Gear Box collector’s edition for SF6. I went to one to reserve the game and one of the employees said it was “sold out”, which doesn’t make any sense for a pre-order, especially so early before release. So I called another one and I still couldn’t pre-order.

I got fed up and decided to go to the website  instead. And strangely enough, I was able to preorder through the website. I’m not sure what the deal is with their ordering system or if this is a Capcom issue, but man that experience really sucked. And let’s just add to the issue that I can’t even play until 2-4 days after release. I love our Street Fighter CEs but dang, wasn’t expecting such a bush league level of customer service… Anyone else run into a similar issue?

Guile and Ryu had goofy moves in IV or V?

Well, I specifically mentioned that their key frames look okay in SF4. I really like a lot of poses that many of the characters have. But in motion, the way they move is off. Ryu didn't have that issue nearly as much as others... Guile in motion in SF4 doesn't look the best though. The timing on the animations doesn't follow naturally.

To reiterate, they didn't have the goofiness at like Sakura did in SFV particularly. Their movements and attacks were a step in the right direction. But I definitely said Sakura had some goofiness happening in SFV. The first 16 + the season 1 characters in SFV looked pretty good... After that the animation quality dipped. But SF6 is developing into perhaps the best animated 2.5D game we've seen yet. I'm hopeful, but I'm also tempering my expectations.

  3. From an artistic standpoint, I was taking a look at Ryu and Guile's move set in SF6 and comparing them with what's in SF2 and I was amazed at how close so many of their moves look to how they did in SF2. If you look at Ryu's Tatsu, this is first game since CVS2 where Ryu spins clockwise. If you pause on the key frames, SF4 looks okay; in motion it's absolutely atrocious.

SFV improves on SF4's weirdness, but I think it deviates in ways since newer normals were introduced (e.g. Ryu's standing HK), so it's a bit difficult to compare SF6 entirely to SFV because it animates so differently. Ryu and Guile didn't have the goofiness with their moves like Sakura did in SFV, so hopefully SF6 will keep up the quality on their moves - looking at you Chun!!!

DIs basically replace the function of random Crush Counter in neutral that leads to combos

I'd like to think the punish counters are taking the place of the crush counters. But for sure PC and DI can both lead to devastating combos. In the beta I kept getting blown up because I used DI as an offensive tool and not so much for baiting mistakes... But yeah, DIs are more like Focus Attacks with three hits of armor and no dash cancelling.

  5. Annmmmmmd that's one thing about the beta that I thought about last night... Of course the pro players were gonna get to play SF6 extensively, but when that beta got cracked we know it created an inherent disadvantage between the haves and have nots. It's good that Capcom linked the codes to the Capcom ID, too little too late at this point.

Shoot... I kinda almost don't blame @TWINBLADESfor strutting like Vinnie Mac ready to be like "YOU'RE FIRED!" from playing. We're gonna definitely have some day 1 masters due to greater access. But I guess the silver lining is that we get to see beastly combos, we can learn from that stuff, the game feels way more fun than SFV and losing doesn't cause me to go on full tilt like SFV used to do.

on god I hate old niggas so much it’s unreal

So I just learned that he just turned 40 in late September and he's basically six months and some change older than me. I loved playing SFV and SF6 is even more fun to me than SFV. I mean, what's really his deal?? My wife thinks he's cappin and is gonna lurk online and play as Thraxsan or some crap lol. Really the man is perpetually salty. He's been a whole mountain of Morton's ever since he broke his stick against Rico Suave (and that's ALWAYS gonna be among the funniest FGC videos ever).

So yeah, I'm 39. What are the qualifications of becoming an old neegah??
