aha, I should've seen it coming... so now the general reaction of those who supported Carlee's story (mostly black women) is now to wonder what kind of psychological situation she must've been enduring to do such a thing....of course.  Anything to shift the narrative away from her simply being a self-absorbed shit that did something wrong.  No surprise there since women can never be "in the wrong" about anything; there must always be some kind of special circumstances and we should still feel bad for them "enduring" whatever lead them to that point.  Yeah ok whatever.  She should get roasted to hell and back just like Jussie when people began exposing his bullshit ridiculous story.

sheeeitt, Elden Ring's boss fights still stand out as legendary, unforgettable gaming moments for me... I was fighting some of them like Godskin Apostle and Fire Giant, etc. on and off for days until finally killing them.  It's a very strange love/hate thing going on there.  When I beat the Godskin Apostle (the one at the bottom of the tower in Caelid), it was around 3 or 4am and I had been trying that 1 battle over and over all night.  There is no room for error.  One mistake and it's almost always Game Over for you right away.  The margin for error against Fire Giant is even more unforgiving, I'd say.  You're definitely dead if you fuck up in any way there. (Fire Giant also happens to be a necessary fight for story progression, btw.)

Oh yeah, this guy got the live press conference about the Carlee fiasco... showing it again now (*cue up the usual popcorn animated gif reaction)
I'm already wondering what a certain old female friend from college is thinking about all this... she became quite the typical "Hotep" that defends her fellow sisterhood at all cost in recent years.  I'm betting she just won't mention this story any further on facebook at this point.

edit---haha so they found out she searched things like:
the movie Taken "do you have to pay for an Amber Alert?" "How to take money from a register" and other odd/suspicious things... I'll have to watch this again for sure....she also claims the people that took her fed her Cheez-Its but this and granola and some other things are what she bought at Target a little earlier.... this is such precious gold 😆

12-Year-Old Charged with Throwing Acid on 11-Year-Old at Detroit Playground
It now takes 11-year-old Deaira Summers two hours to get dressed after a 12-year-old girl threw acid on her at a Detroit playground, causing second and third burns all down the girl’s back, arms, and legs.
The incident happened on July 9, while Summers was playing with her siblings and cousins at Vernor Elementary’s playground, WXYZ reported. Summer’s cousin had unresolved drama with the 12-year-old assailant, and Summers was caught in the crossfire while running away to fetch her purse, according to her mother, Dominique Summers.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged the 12-year-old with “one count each of Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm and Felonious Assault.”
The juvenile is being held on a $10,000 bond, and made her second court appearance today.

“This is an extremely troubling set of allegations. Instant horrible decision making can have lifelong effects on others. There is no excuse for this,” Worthy said.
Summers’ mother believes that an adult gave the 12-year-old the idea to bring acid to the park.
“Whoever was involved with her, I would like them all to be arrested for what they did to my daughter,” she said. “I hope she gets what she deserves, and they all get what they deserve.”

Terrible that this can happen at schools.

Returning power ups I would love to see for Super Mario Wonder? The Hammer Suit. There were only a handful of those suckers in SMB3 because they were broken AF. Sure, you couldn't slide down slopes but when the hammers merc just about everything and the shell is fireproof, that is a small price to pay for godlike abilities. The fact that the Hammer Suit wasn't used in either Super Mario Maker games was a travesty.

That old style reminded me---there was this gorgeous girl at university I remember that looked like a time-traveler pulled her right out of the 1920s.... a young starlet "bird" as they'd call her back in those days.  If you shot a film in black & white and had everything looking like a noir thriller from that time she would not look out of place.  ...that shit is HOT, imo... would be great if that became a "new" styled look for women again.  Sheeeittt, time for a ranking system then...

Hottest looks for women by era, generally speaking:
1920s- "Flapper"...there's some overlap with the '30s as well.
1950s-another high rank with me; I also wouldn't mind this coming back into style.  Basically I'm thinking of what you see in a lot of the movies focusing on younger high school characters, maybe there's a diner hang-out spot involved or a beach party (though some of that was going into the 60s era with actors like Annette Funicello)
1980s - this may be some bias I'll admit, since this is *my* era and I have such positive memories of it in general.  This is very close to being a tie with 2nd place 1950s for me.  The exception was that 1 unfortunate trend of women wearing big goofy shoulder pads. (usually in the context of an office job)

The 70s was hit or miss---some of those fashions were just ugly and silly-looking.
