Hakan's hair colour was... just based on a wordplay. Basically, since turquoise etymologically comes from the French pierre turquoise, "Turkish stone", and in Japanese is even more immediately evident (トルコ Toruko = Turkey, トルコ石 toruko ishi = turquoise, literally "Turkish stone", again; トルコ人 torukojin = Turkish man) ... yes, they gave him turquoise hair... made of stone...

Dudley plays nothing like Balrog though. And if the game can accommodate several shotos, and 2-3 "wind users", it can accommodate Balrog and Dudley at the same time. They did it before with great success.

But I think Balrog will come first. We'll be lucky if we get SF3 characters besides Ibuki next year.

I really hope that the high sales of SF6 will inspire Capcom to really go hardcore with SSF6. Strike while the iron is hot and steal MK and Tekken's thunder!

A lot of SamSho characters are actually based on real life historical people. Jubei is one. Haohmaru is based on Myamoto Musashi the legendary swordsman, writer, and artist. Ukyo is based on Sasaki Kojiro who was famous for using a very long sword they called "washpole" and is legendary for his duel with Musashi (even though he lost.) Amakusa was actually a Christian leader who led, and was killed in, the Shimabara rebellion when he was 16 (hence was his character in the SamSho games has a high voice lol) which was the reason why Christianity was outlawed in Japan for a long time.

Whenever someone interviews him about MK, his face lights up like kid on Christmas. I've always appreciated that about Boon. It's not just a job for him.
