It was “I Am...” and it came out in 99, lol. My hip-hop calendar from 96 to 99 is honestly all lumped up into like one year. I got into hip hop with Wu-Tang Forever (I used to listen to 36 Chambers and Naughy by Nature before, but WTC Forever really grabbed me), and then everything between then and Method Man’s Tical 2000 and Redman’s Doc’s Da Name 2000 all seemed to come out within months of each other

Rekkr is a viking themed total conversion mod released recently for classic Doom 1+2 rereleases on PS4/Xbox/Switch. The fact that Bethesda ok'd a total conversion gets me excited for what else we might see crop up. The potential for value out of these classic games is massive for console players.

I'm about to get into some games but I just want to say that it feels good to have you all here. With pages, actual reaction buttons, and avatars that can be seen without the aid of a magnifying glass. 😁

@Chadouken Doom games are extremely well optimized. I'm certain you'd be able to run it. What are you laptop specs? As long as it's fairly recent you should be okay.

Big reason I'd want to try PC is to play with mouse and keyboard.  It's been years since I've played anything like that- probably not since Quake II 😂

BTW, in doom eternal, I beat Cultist Base on UN and am excited about it. That’s the hardest level for me, so I feel like a UN run is actually doable.
 
Also, I figured out something somewhat cheap to do in the big arena in Doom Hunter Base which is definitely going to make other big arenas easier... Essentially, utlize the heavy demon waves and their weakpoints to your advantage. Knock off their weakpoints so they become weak and run around refilling all your resources off the fodder and get in good positioning to kill the final heavy to be prepared for the next wave. I actually use this time to master the flaming meathook during the second wave in that arena.

It Was Written was released in 96. You thinking of I Am which dropped in 99. I Am was cool. I felt it could have been on the level of Illmatic had he kept the leaked songs. Lost Tapes is one of my favorite Nas albums.

It depends I guess. I would 100% grab it on PC if I could, despite having it on PS4. The hot keys and stuff is great, and while the game is still amazingly playable on a controller (with the right button layout and settings), I’d personally love to experience it without the hindrance of the weapon wheel, or quick-swapping between more than two guns. Then again, this is one of my favourite games ever, honestly, so that’s me. If i didn’t love it this much, I probably wouldn't bother.
 
Also, on PC, you can run things like the Horde mod by Proteh which looks amazing.

The Message went hard as fuck. Love that song. Black Girl Lost hits super hard. It Was Written doesn't get enough credit. I don't like how some fans try to paint the narrative that Illmatic is his only good album.

Word.  Might try it if I can find it on sale.  Probably won't pay full price for it twice, lol.

It’s hard to put It was Written ahead of Illmatic, but i prefer it. Illmatic is classic no doubt, but I Gave You Power, The Message, Nas is coming? fucking Affirmative Action? Whoever dislikes that album doesn't like hip hop

Yep, some nut took a thread conversations to PM. Messaged me at random while I was at my mom's house. Told him I didnt want to talk about his bullshit because my daughter had just broken her arm and my mom had cancer (was just browsing SRK to chill).
 
 
Then he sent me a fucked up PM comparing my mom's cancer to SRK. Its all on the lounge. Dude sent me non-apology after she died blaming me for misinterpreting that PM.

My favorite Nas song is “I Gave You Power” from It was Written. I know nobody likes that album but that song is poetry. Would’ve been even better if he didn’t explain the metaphor 20 seconds in because ppl are dumb.

@misterBee I appreciate the love man, but you are the MVP for creating this place. Most people would have folded up shop after SRK was "saved." You kept plugging away and improving this place when the only people posting were basically me, @DangerousJ , @MillionX , and @Angel 

If it wasn't for @Darc_Requiem giving me a heads up about an hour or two beforehand things would have been worse.  Managed to get sign ups and a few other things sorted last night before the majority of people showed up.
