Goddamn Sony, you can’t use any ps4 pad or fight stick on the ps5 version of the game. Okay I’ll just download the ps4 version nope it doesn’t show up anywhere on the psn store or the app if your account is linked to a ps5. 
 

If the ds5 didn’t feel like complete shit for fighting games I wouldn’t care.

EDIT: nvm my ps4 fight stick works but not the pad oh well I’ll take it

Of course what was supposed to be a short day is turning into a long one. Brake line ripped on the tractor trailer I’m using for work. Glad I didn’t get hurt or worse hurt someone else but fuck this day..

I’ll be on the beta later on tonight and whenever I can over the weekend of course like a lot of y’alli got shit popping up out of nowhere I gotta do lol.

Bouncing between dead island 2, apex legends, and whatever random games I wanna try that are free on the ps+ premium tier or whatever it’s called.

Cool seeing who everybody is leaning towards I’m really hoping we get another beta with the full cast and at least training mode unlocked. 
 

So far only deejay and Honda have my attention but it’s still early so we’ll see. zangief is a honorable mention but I almost want to give grapplers a break since I’m noticing I almost always gravitate to them them even though I don’t consider myself a grappler specialist ( usually grappler hybrid ).

I’ve heard it mentioned that it’s kind of a nod to his amount of throws in ST. He has like 7 or so different normal throws in that game not counting spd and his super.

And what’s everybody’s final thoughts on sfv? 
I’m seeing some posts from people who skipped sfv and thinking sf6 is a “real”  sf title lol. 
 

sfv had a shitty launch but I really think the game found its footing Later on in life. Overall I would say I liked sfv. It’s definitely the most hours I’ve put into sf but it still has its faults.

This! The percentage of players who got gold is like 3% or something.  Even though it took forever it makes me feel pretty good about reaching Diamond.  
 

Got to mess around with the demo for a little bit before I got called in to work. The game feels pretty good I just wish it wasn’t so restricted but maybe there’llbe another beta. 

SRK is probably the only website I was ever nervous to post on but this was like 06-07. But it was informative and cool af. Like I could actually find people to play around me in nc .

I don’t think the community killed the forum, I think it was environment around it changing. Everybody just decided to stop using forums and go over to social media. Automotive forums with obscure tech and information on cars suffered the same fate. 

I still wish forums would come back tagging and searching stuff on social media and discord just feels time consuming (I know it’s similar but still).

The actual driving was pretty great, but a lot of the shit surrounding it was a buzzkill. 

 
that’s one of the major things they missed with the first couple hours you’re doing high end car collecting instead of the nostalgic David vs Goliath of making a crx walk a Supra lol. Much more than that but I don’t wanna derail the thread lol

Also it GT7 any good yet? I bought it on a whim as car guy but I never played GT and I was underwhelmed.

Yeah I know some of them I understand some just irk me. But hell who am I to talk I’ll be going with my family to see Mario but I mean cmon it’s Mario lol. 
 

Yeah I wouldn’t say gt7 is good yet, and more than likely by the time it is it’ll be too late. The past couple gt games have pretty much been shit on by the community.  At this point it’s a tech demo for Sony and a billboard for the car manufacturers. Kaz lost the plot a long time ago.

The past decade at least we’ve been getting companies trying to cash in on making movies of whatever anime/video game and it’s almost never even close to decent.  The success of the Pokémon and sonic movie is gonna make it worse.

Ffs they just announced a Gran turismo movie as someone who’s played every gt game except the psp version I can tell you we don’t want that. We’d love polyphony digital to make a proper gt but anyways. 
 

PS- tekken 8 seems hype af. I doubt I have time to git gud but I’m liking what I’m seeing even though I’ve seen some hate amongst the hype from the vets

Yeah no motions whatsoever in the game. Special moves will depend on the button and direction you push. 
 

I’m a old head so of course I’m not the biggest fan of it but I understand the whole lowering of the skill barrier thing is going for more people.

 Not hating just curious of what everyone’s cut off is for fighting games and maybe all games going forward as far as accessibility being pushed so hard.  Souls borne is showing people still want a challenge but I guess it’s different in fighting games.

 I’m not wanting plinking and frame perfect stuff or obnoxious motions but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t like most games to at least have some challenge in motions or combos again nothing crazy but I wonder if fighting games will eventually become so easy maybe people lose interest or it’s looked at as a baby game.

Kind of crazy to hear Brian say it has him considering dropping hitbox. But I’m also curious on how capcom will be enforcing this rule change.
