I saw someone on Twitter mention it pretty much making whiff punished with lights a gimme.  I wasn’t  getting much with them as far as whiffs before but know I’ll definitely get some use.

Oh man this drive rush change is something, I know it’ll help charge characters I wonder if it’ll help modern players too? 
 

I’m thinking of trying guile I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have any good cancellable lows but his game plan is already good

 clarification-nope for charge characters, Japanese tweet clarifies it only applies for neutral or forward + (MP and MK)

Man hopped on after not playing for a couple days gained quite a bit then started losing but even without that I have a lack of motivation with this game.  
 

Some shit with this game just puts a bad taste in in my mouth. I’m not gonna bash it and definitely not gonna claim sfv was better but idk i just ain’t feeling it that much, there’s not a character I’m interested in that much aesthetics or gameplay wise.  
 

maybe gonna look into other characters I made it to Diamond  2 with blanka but maybe he just doesn’t work for me

 how’s everybody else doing so far?

I think it all comes down to the placement matches and the generous amount of points you get for win streaks, which stops at platinum. 
 

And it shows because once the sf6 chart gets to around plat 3-4 it almost perfectly syncs up with sfv.

You’re all correct it’s kind of crazy just how versatile and and just straight up good Ken is.  I feel like he just has crazy good pressure and can convert in however he wants to.

@Voltai need to use the aa into coward crouch more. I used a lot of the same things as you but around plat 5 it started to get a little tougher because I think I’m too easy to read sounds like you probably have better fundamentals than me lol. I had to learn a couple drive rush combos to scrape by. 
 

but I’ll be taking a break from ranked and trying to use blanka to his full potential. I got a couple ridiculous blanka Chan conversions after finally getting the timing down for the corner setup.

Made it to Diamond with blanka. I’m no where near optimized with him yet but I got it way quicker than I did in 5. So either it really is easier to rank up or I got better I’m guessing a little of both lol. 
 

I have a couple situations I need to lab because I’m free when going against them (ex: Marisa pressuring with that 3 hit target combo no matter what I try she can just steamroll me with it).

I’m over here struggling to reach Diamond went on a 8 game win streak in platinum 4, the game stops giving me matches I wait and even check my settings. Next match is against a master rank JP 😂😂.

I win the first match and get 163 points which is nice but after that he downloads me and I get blown up.

 Then matchmaking goes back to normal. I think this game really pays attention and is trying to constantly adjust your opponents instead of just climbing the ladder like normal.

I have complaints with both but the fact that drive rush freeze messes up your input when trying to check it blows

I’m almost at plat 3 but I’m thinking I’m hard stuck.

 Plus switching to fight stick is making my hands hurt I haven’t even been playing trying to let them heal. I’ll probably get a converter and switch back to ds4.

Just played against punk lost 2-1 he was learning Kimberly lol. I played l so terrible and I was nervous because I knew I was on stream. Niggas was calling me blankey Kong 😂

Memed my way to platinum with blanka and finally decided to check out world tour. I haven’t been able to play much since launch and didn’t play very much but damn I’m actually kind of surprised at how good it is.

I heard the yakuza comparisons and I have to agree and also I love those games so I’ll be putting a lot of time into it when I can.

I think I need to move back to stick for this game.  So many 2-button and 3-button combinations are impossible unless mapped, and always-be-charging on a D-pad isn't comfortable. 

 

 

I’m playing a charge character for the first time on this game too.  I’m forced to use the ps5 pad and it’s ass for fighting games so I switched back to stick . It’s slowly coming together but I’ll stick with it for now unless I get a adapter to use the ps4 pad.
