No matter who hard you try, you can't polish a turd. I think I'd rather have Lucky Glauber. I despise that character more than I do Tekken...more than Smashers hate the shower and dates over the age of 17.

I get it tho, it was the same for me when Blanka was leaked for SF6. 🤬

Huh. I'm actually surprised. Most of these used to have wildly inaccurate/bad info.
Sounds like a good thing to have, especially with how big this game will be.

I actually bookmarked this vid this afternoon because I had to go to work and couldn't watch it.
It sounds fascinating. Honestly, the biggest issue of TotK might be having this foundation to work with. Like damn, what else can you do to follow up THIS game?
-
I might as well ask at this point.
What will be the spoiler policy for TotK? Story-only? Gameplay too? How many weeks?

I'm so so sooooo glad the Koroks are back. I'm not even joking either.
They were just a great reward for exploration in BotW because slots are so important.
I definitely didn't have the patience to actually hunt them all down tho, but on a blind run, they're great. 🤣

What do you mean? You gotta be on point at all times, wading through projectiles and hitboxes and correctly reading your opponent.
Grapplers aren't easy to play at all, execution isn't the only difficulty barrier out there.

My posts aren't THAT long, are they? 💀

All these games about to come out, new lounges, new rules... Actually, I should've come up with a better title.
I'm getting washed too. 👴 😭

I really like how they made shields more important in this game, even though...
SpoilerI'll have to actually get more Korok seeds for them now. Oooooof.
Sticking a rock to one of them gives you a nice hammer to break ore deposits with if you do the parry motion.
I do hate how they nerfed ore values in this game tho. I guess running the fade on Stone Tali for money isn't the best way to grind for drip anymore.

This game is 6 years old, the sequel is about to launch, and people are STILL finding new tech on it.

Petition to rename the thread to
"The FG Lounge - The future is now, old man"
Matter of fact, y'all should let me make the next thread when it's time to dust this one. These threads got no flavor to em, smh.

The game is a month out, so I've made a new thread for it.
This thread is for GAME DISCUSSION ONLY!
If you want to talk about non-SF6 stuff you are now required to use the Fighting Game Lounge thread:
Or you can go over to General Discussion. There's a lounge thread in there too.
Don't hate me. I don't make the rules...no...wait. Yes I do.
Makes sense and it's fair enough. No complaints from me.
With that said... Next Beta was announced. Let's see how y'all and this netcode hold up against a real Brazilian Ken

@SonichumanI appreciate the work you've been doing with all the news in the thread.
Sorry for not updating anything everyone, I was dodging spoilers like crazy, I hadn't even seen Ganondorf until I scrolled up now.
Only 4 days until the official release. Obviously, you know the game is already out on the streets, so be careful about spoilers.
With that said... I've seen some footage because I couldn't wait to see if they did bring back in dungeons or not. No story spoilers.
SpoilerYes, and no. The first dungeon is very similar to a Divine Beast with better presentation and more importantly, enemies. It's not a bigger shrine like the BotW dungeons, but it's still NOWHERE close to the old ones. If you consider a certain thing part of it, it drives the presentation up even more. Just iconic. Boss was a return to form.
As for the story, lore, NPC dialogue and all that stuff that breathes life into a game... I don't know how much y'all know off the trailers. I didn't watch them. Here's a no-context one tho.
I'll explain it when the game releases, I've only watched until the first major objective anyway, so it's early and irrelevant enough to not be a bother anyway. 🤣

We are still finding out shit we didn't know about.
The whole quests with his family were sad af. The good thing about this being a sequel is that hopefully, they'll show up, right? BotW was the closest Zelda to Majora's Mask when it came to fleshing out NPCs.

A lot of characters look like they got some nice stuff going on, it's kind of a shame that the universal mechanics are so impactful in this game.
Marisa looks pretty cool too. I wonder if she can counter wake-up DPs with her stance.
-
Huh, so apparently, Cammy can hold her heavy specials for a free version of her old VT1 stuff?
That's... actually kinda nice. I'm surprised.

Hey volt, can you be a sport and explain to me what's going on on that video and why he found it concerning?
Sure.
As you know, modern controls got simplified inputs. That's really for execution purposes to get casuals involved, but the most important side-effect is that it's hella quicker to press a direction+button than doing whole motions. That literally makes it easier to land things like anti-air DPs.
So basically, their concern is that you can react to things a lot quicker on modern controls. In that video, man straight up reacted to the Drive Impact startup with a raw Lv. 3 for a gorillion damage.

How does modern controls handle Charge?
This doesn't really concern me, but Guile throwing booms walking forward would give people fits.

Unpopular opinion - the priority system in V combined with cruch counter system and fucked up hit/hurtboxes caused way more harm to the game than good

23 minutes ago, Jocelot said:I'm still really surprised Capcom hasn't updated the SF6 site with movelists for the characters yet. In the SFV era they'd update the movelist info pretty much as soon as a new character was revealed. It's crazy we're a month and 1 day from launch and we still don't know if Deejay is charge, motion or hybrid
And more importantly, we barely know anything about the new characters.
