I think playing 6 months of SFV is enough to know they crush counters/ the priority system was far superior than sf4 in that regards. Look at sf4 matches, every time two players were close to each other it was light+light+light+light until someone connected, this ain't a mike Tyson jab session. Y'all gon learn today'

If you're throwing big ol heavies right in your opponent's face, you finna learn real soon why people go for lights at close-range. 🤣

Usually, most FGs will actually have people poke at the midrange with things closer to mediums because of their range/speed ratio. You'd know that if you had any idea of wtf you're talking about. SFV just had a truly terrible midrange game overall, so the risk/reward ratio was a mess.

SF4 had different issues skewed toward lights, or so I hear. Frankly, I didn't bother with that game too much.

It's crackers to think I might actually be able to join some silly lobby and have matches with you guys. I'm really looking forward to it. I think I've played Matt, Darc, The Poster Formerly Known As You, Volt and Sonero with mostly shit lag but when things worked, enjoyed.  @Voltif this stuff works, we can train non-stop for a bit if you like, so you can get to grips with shit (though I am bad)

I'm always down for some sets.

This game is hella different from what I'm used to when it comes to SF, so I'll definitely need the practice.

I never played sf4, barely played SFV at all lol, but as far as I can tell hasnt SFV been the most popular fighting game since it came out? Even with the horrible launch? As far as entrants and viewers go it's 90% of the time been the top fighter.

SF brand is strong af. Don't get it twisted.

Also, it was the first one to really have that online presence and support. A lot of its numbers gotta do with technology and culture shifts.

And if we're keeping it a buck, no numbers ever dictate the quality of a game. Only when you get your hands on it you can tell whether or not a game is good or not.

The best example of this is Pokémon. The whole franchise has been objectively dogshit in several parameters since Gen 5 and that's like, the most valuable franchise in the world.

Real talk @Daemos who are you gonna play till bison gets put in?

And what’s everybody’s final thoughts on sfv?
I’m seeing some posts from people who skipped sfv and thinking sf6 is a “real”  sf title lol.

sfv had a shitty launch but I really think the game found its footing Later on in life. Overall I would say I liked sfv. It’s definitely the most hours I’ve put into sf but it still has its faults.

I almost watched the last CPT Top 8 like

In all seriousness tho, SFV was an almost bipolar experience to me. The good parts were really good, but the bad parts were really bad.

It'll undoubtedly go down like 4. People won't want to have anything with it for years and then it'll become a boomer Discord fighter.

6 is looking better than ever, so V's fall will definitely not be pretty.

God I hope Capcom adds some kind of a limited mode where we can use the world tour avatars for online pvp. I don't care how broken, silly, stupid or cursed that would be - let people have fun. At some point beating random NPCs will get boring

Wasn't that confirmed to be in already? Pretty sure I saw it in the showcase.

This is actually a major disservice to Chun’s plot. Why couldn’t they just own Chun being the adoptive mother role? Given her loss of a parent, it’s nothing less than poetic for her to become a parent to someone who lost it all too.

But no they are so afraid of aging her. They aren’t so afraid of aging the men. Sadge.

Her theme is literally called Not a Little Girl and everything we know about her story mentions her older and wiser role.

It could be that Chun just doesn't like to feel old lol.

I, for one, welcome this big "Ara, ara..." energy. 😈

    Hey guys! Been a while!

Tried the demo on both my PS5 and PC and i don't know if I 'm imagining things, but is the PS5 version more optimised and has less input lag? (I have a RTX 2080 btw)

I'm playing the PS5 version on my LG Oled on performance mode + Reduced input lag.

Love the game and can't wait for it to release but I hate that Capcom are force feeding us Modern Controls. Is there an option where the game will default to Classic controls? Or do we have to switch to Classic whenever we play?

Also, I understand Steam Deck is a really great piece of equipment but I'd dread to get matched with people playing SF6 on Steam Deck + Wifi. There wasn't any Wifi Indicator during the online beta, but I hope they at least have an indicator if anyone is playing ranked/online on the Deck.

Is there anywhere we can send feedback to Capcom?

Steam deck is running it on 60fps, I've seen it on Reddit iirc.

It might just be some config issue where it's not set to fully use your graphics card.

How so you guys feel about having access to a full drive gauge every round, meter carrying between rounds, and drive impact giving a wall bounce in the corner on block?

Feels good. If I die with full meter, I can claim it was just part of my strategy.

I don't think you need to worry much about people having the upper hand because they spent time in the cracked beta once the game lanches.

SF6 features a ranking system that places you based on your initial 10 matches and skill level you had in SFV , it actually askes you. So, at worst you will face unbalanced matchmaking for about 10 matches if you are really unlucky that is since the player pool at start will be quite big.

I for one will be spending most of my time at start playing the single player campaign and labbing the characters i aim to play the most ( Juri, Manon, Cammy ) as well as labbing what to do against the rest of the cast. Once i have my fill of that,i'll be hitting the ranked matches, no rush, game is gonna be around for at least 5 years imo.

That reminds me, I gotta do the Capcom ID thing.

They straight up ask you "How good were you in SFV?" 🤣

I know people will be out there straight up *lying*. 💀

  10.

It's not possible to enforce it.
That's the only reason why Capcom hasn't done it.

And I'mma twist the knife a bit.

Not only the crack is available to any PC player, I sure as hell ain't feeling bad for Japanese players complaining about other players having early access to a game.

Every anime game at Evo was a free meal to them because they had the entire arcade betas and months with the arcade releases before getting more exclusive time with the console versions and then the games got to the West.

Anyone who is serious about competing should've gotten it already, especially knowing that there's a literal million prize at stake on CPT.
