I was checking out some old forum stuff last night and something kinda stood out for me.

We really gotta get more games going.

The Lounge was at its best when everyone was actively on that grind, and honestly, it doesn't make a lick of sense to have all these rollback games and not organize matches for them. 

Your idea is good, but it doesn't need to clog up space with a thread per week, we can make a Battle Lounge thread, and update the title every week.

Maybe a General Matchmaking thread where people can just ask for games 24/7 and not worry about it getting buried in this thread would be a good idea too, but the game threads could cover that too.

The existing game threads can be used to discuss strategy, tech, and general "git gud" things. A SF6 thread with that specific purpose would be needed as well, but it can wait for a Beta at least. Ain't no point in a tech/matchmaking thread for a game that isn't out.

This thread needs a new title ASAP. It gives a terrible first impression for newcomers to read the title and see this. The SF5/6 Lounge/General  has always been the place where we just kick back and chill.

This can work because when Strive dropped, y'all were putting in work in that game. The Strive thread was 100% business as far as I checked.

We just gotta expand that mindset and get a bit more organized when it comes to matchmaking. We're looking like SNK on that front.

ArcSys is playing smart. If you think about it, ever since DBFZ finally got them the casual push they deserved, they've been really good at making sure they're riding that wave and not oversaturating the market with their games.

Still, their fans are eating good. Strive, +R, BBTag, BBCF, and now P4AU got rollback too. They got that collab with Eighting for DNF too. If you think about how many different kinds of players got a GOATSys game to play with great netcode, you'll notice that they covered a lot of their bases.

More importantly though, now that Project L is confirmed to be a F2P game, we have the best possible test subject for whether or not it's remotely viable as a model for FGs.

Riot is certainly no stranger to the model, they know exactly how to make it work. LoL is a massive IP with outrageous casual pull. It got rollback. 2v2 is a niche all but unfilled since BBTag. It'll get ALL the shilling from FG influencers. The project is running well and funding doesn't seem to be an issue. It's being developed by people who have ties to the FGC in general.

This game has damn near the best environment possible to succeed. It turning out to be a bust would be nothing short of a catastrophic failure.
