    That’s just indie wrestling and a lot of big matches in general. It’s dumb as shit. It’s not as bad as kicking out of a burning hammer or emerald flowsion but it still pissed me the fuck off

    Only in western comics do they somehow reboot the timeline for an entire universe and yet inexplicably still have lore/backstory from the old universe left over.  Then they revert it all anyway later on.  I'm looking at you, DC...

    This is why I’ve never been able to truly get into comics until about 6 years ago. When I worked at a comic book store/hobby shop for the 3 years I did learned a shit ton about other companies, smaller series runs, etc that got me back into comics. 
     

    the current X-Men run is the first time I’ve really been interested in marvel again since OG Civil War (outside of cool one shots and very limited runs by marvel) 

     

    and I’ve tried to give a shit about DC but all the stuff from them I like is from their Vertigo imprint. Which no longer exists/was partially absorbed into DC Black

    I think that’s how it is I think? I haven’t read that issue of Excalibur in a while. I’m reading all the X-Titles by trades which organizes all the X-Titles by the universal continuity. So sometimes it’s hard to remember.

    Marvel sucks since they got rid of Old Wolverine and put the original X-Men back into the past. Also Avengers with Ms. Marvel / Miles looks like it lasted all of 10 minutes. Haven't kept up. 😫

    Jubilee and her son Shogo are currently in Avalon helping Captain Britain (Betsy Bardock) and Apocalypse (not a typo), due to her son’s wild imagination he turns into a dragon while there. The art style is so weird is because Captain Britain is projecting to herself what Shogo is thinking/feeling. 
     

    She is no longer a vampire. Hasn’t been for a while. I think shortly after Avengers vs. X-Men. She was cured of her vampirism by the Phoenix force 

     

    Ms. Marvel and Miles are in The Champions which is a basically a marvel version of Teen Titans but on a much smaller scale.

    * I’m even more convinced about Cruiserweight Wargames happening now that Devlin is back. 
    * Trent Seven talking about his career like it’s over when he isn’t even 40 is irritating 

    * Dunne slimmed down A LOT

    * Main event didn’t need a crowd clapping due to all of the thigh slaps 

    * Dragunov no selling the half Nelson suplex from Walter is some hooooorse shit. I actually enjoyed the match right until the finish where that happened

    So can we get Legado del Fantasma vs. Swerve and friends as a war games match next month? Cause that’s what it feels like it’s building towards

     

    Edit: I really hate Drake now. They relegated him back to a comedy character for no reason.

    Just from a surface level assessment, the idea of Xavier abandoning his whole ideology seems kind of whack 

    There’s a reason for it.

    Moira McTaggart is revealed to be a mutant who’s power is reincarnation while keeping all her past memories and knowledge. You find out she’s the reason for multiple marvel story lines but ends up dying in all of them. 
     

    some of her life’s she tries to cure her mutation, in one of her life’s she’s responsible for age of apocalypse, etc. in several of her lives though she teams up with Charles to try and preserve the mutant race and protect it. 
     

    With her tenth life and seemingly enough knowledge to cover all the bases she confronts Xavier one more time. Who then rallies everybody. Magnus, sinister, apoc, everyone you can think of. Friend or foe. And they all move to the mutant island of Krakoa. 
     

    xavier psychically broadcasts the Krakoan proclamation which boils down to

    ”we’re tired of being hunted and hated despite giving you nothing but love and protection for decades. So we’re going to live on Krakoa. We are now also going to be the biggest pharmaceutical country in the world due the drugs that only grow on Krakoa. 
    (the drugs solve any mind related disease, extend someone’s life by 5 years and one other thing I can’t remember)
     

    don’t get me wrong. We still love you and want to save you. But you’re going to pay for it now. You’re also going to give free passage to every mutant, every mutant becomes a dual citizen of their native country and Krakoa and you will recognize Krakoa as a sovereign nation. If you don’t like it? Fuck you. Love you bye!”

    there’s A LOT more but Johnathan Hickman has been the head of the X-Men relaunch and it’s been fucking amazing.

    ...and it wouldn't even have to become a fight in the first place.  With psychic power, you could make an enemy forget why they hated you in the first place...now you have "always been friends" since childhood...or you could make them forget you even exist at all.

     

    This is also a good power to manipulate people in power and effectively rule the world from behind the scenes.

     

    There's also the issue of "love".  No one is off limits to anymore with such a power.  Their mind can be "re-wired"  so they suddenly "love" you.  There's so many things that are possible with this ability.  If no one else had this....no one would suspect anything either.

    There are a few telepaths that surpass Xavier. Shadow King is among them. I think at one point Emma Frost was stronger as well. Jean Gray at various points, etc. 

     

    There’s also a pretty good handful of mutants that can’t be effected by mind manipulation and telekinesis. Or they can simply see through the bullShit. Or simply can’t be detected by cerebro. 
     

    The current Xavier is a bad ass. Not in terms of power (though he is powerful, cause it’s Xavier) but in terms of attitude and swagger. He’s finally embraced what Magneto has been saying for decades. That mutants are the rightful heir to earth, they’re the next step in human evolution and if humans don’t like it than fuck them.

    Xavier actually just recently wiped Reed Richards mind when it came to information about a machine he built that blocks the X-Gene in mutants that Reed used on his son Franklin. Xavier and Magnus were afraid the government would try to use it to wipe out the X-Gene or trigger an effect to massacre anyone carrying the X-Gene. 
     

    Magneto also destroyed said machine Reed built.

    the fact several cosmic entities like Galactus (who Franklin actually used as HIS Harold) and eternals have been like “yo, we need to watch out for this kid. He’s OP as fuck” should tell you something.

     

    Marque of Death, Mathew Malloy and Protege are also OP as fuck. The Living Tribunal, who is the living embodiment of The One Above All (who is Marvels version of God)  had to absorb Protege because he wanted to (and came very close to) replace The One of Above All.
