I just got to chapter 7 myself. Outside of weekends I only get about 4 hours of free time a day if I’m lucky. So while the lack of playtime hasn’t been great it’s also making me appreciate the game a lot more.

The remake trilogy is making FF7 what everyone has thought it’s been since its initial release. A story full of rich world building, great lore, character arcs, great thematic sequences, interesting dynamics and great character developments and relationships.
I will forever argue and die on the hill of OG FF7 is not a good game. It has glints of greatness here and there but overall it’s incredibly shallow and just genuinely not very good.
