It's called a tensegrity table. As @beesuitmentioned the key is the middle chain on each side.
The middle chain is where the magic is happening. The middle chain is trying to pull the two halves of the table closer to each other, but the side chains are a fixed length.
The two sets of forces pull on the table in opposite ways and you end up with a stable surface that looks like it's floating. It's pretty neat. 👍

I think you can counteract the rotating effect with a few other lines going at an angle. If you do that it should be tight in every direction.

I play with 6 buttons.
This is my control scheme:
1P = 1
2P = 2
3P = throw
1K = 3
2K = 4
3K = block
Make sure you have button shortcuts on. That means that you can perform ex with 1P+2P, and you can do super by hitting 1K + 2K + 3K. Haven't had any issues with this setup!
