I'm still trying to decide between getting a new motherboard and CPU potentially or picking up a new phone in a couple of weeks. Currently targeting high-end B550/medium-end X570 with a 3700X until the 5k series is more readily available. Keeping my GPU for right now until demand gets a lot better before I upgrade.

I've not really touched my copy but just a couple of times since I bought it. The sides are pretty dope, and I'm kinda wanting to go Team Star also if I finally dip into multiplayer.

Went ahead and used the rest of my eShop credit I got this morning for the remaining games I wanted. Picked up Rune Factory 4, Shiren the Wanderer, Hollow Knight, and Hades. I think I may be set for a while until Christmas. edit: Almost forgot, picked up the Pokemon Sword DLC too.

I'm for that as far as the Smash community goes currently. They need to do a lot better (and I would be willing to give the scene an ample opportunity if they changed a few things), but in it's current iteration it's awful.

Woke up this morning, and saw that my eShop order went through that I had placed last night. Immediately bought Age of Calamity, and have $137 left. Planning on not using that until after the holidays are over, which will give me time to sort through the remaining games I want (and potentially ask for a lot more from the missus after the bonus hits).

I know how. Fairy magic and shit had to be involved! So, my quest to obtain a 40th anniversary collector's edition for Fire Emblem is done for now. I ended up buying a $10 eShop card off Amazon and buying the game with it with some to spare. I also had my daughter-in-law ask what I wanted for Christmas, and my wife sent a picture of the box art for DQ11. Probably will buy another $100 worth of eShop credit in a couple of days once my invoicing money comes in on Tuesday and pick up Age of Calamity and maybe Rune Factory 4. I'll also start setting pre-orders up for the first three months of the year after the holiday as well. I already have Bravely Default II pre-ordered from Amazon, but I want to pick up the new Mario 3D World and Persona 5 Strikers for sure. Monster Hunter Rise I'm not really sure about yet, but if it's anything like World; I'll probably get it too. Also, my wife is getting a ridiculous EOY bonus. Something like $4k+ pre-tax, so I'm strongly eyeing getting the Famicom/Super Famicom Classics along with a new microSD card instead of a phone or updated computer parts. Edit: went ahead and decided to treat myself to $198 worth of eShop credit, and now Amazon has shit the bed and will probably have my order in pending overnight. Wtffff

Gotcha. I've not watched any of the Diehard movies outside of the 1st and the 4th. Speaking of movies, I'm strongly considering renting out one of the theaters locally for my birthday, inviting family and college friends; and watching the shit outta some Wonder Woman 1984.

The first movie is more than enough, although I believe it is the 4th movie that gave us Samuel L Jackson in all of his badassery.

Right before the other site blew the fuck up and I migrated away, I bought a 360 VLX. Yesterday it arrived in the mail! Highlights: The box was neatly packaged. All of the stuff came with it! The stick works (tested in joy.cpl and in SFV) I'd love to gut the stick and put a UFB in it, but I cannot bring myself to do that to such nice a stick. I may get one of the new Brook converters after the holidays for 360 to PS4 use and hope for offline events to come back next year.

I have one other option I'm looking at besides a phone upgrade, that being a new motherboard and CPU that she pays for. I probably could get a decent Ryzen 5k setup with a very decent mainboard for as much as I'm looking at spending initially for this damn phone ($650 approx). 11/25 edit: Since I had my money refunded on my X570 Pro TUF board from ASUS, I'm going to continue researching possible motherboards to go along with a possible new Ryzen 5 series CPU.

Oh yeah, I completely agree it encourages them. I'm curious as to why the Nintendo Online Store didn't have this to begin with, and instead decided to have fucking bloodbaths between Target and Gamestop over preorders. I do hope that Walmart here locally gets some of these, so I can extend the full finger yet again to Nintendo.

With Facebook's bullshit going on, I'd rather not bring a damn camera that belongs to them into my house. My daughter-in-law's house sure, but not my fucking house! Also have tentatively decided on a new phone, since the missus is getting a pretty hefty EOY bonus this year. Have decided on getting either a 256gb iPhone 12 Max; or I'm gonna ball out and say fuck it and get the 512gb. I've gotten beyond frustrated with my OnePlus phone, since unlocking the bootloader also cripples your access to Google Pay. Had Magisk working on the phone until about a month ago; when Google updated the detection methods and bodied Magisk.

I already have the game preordered anyway from the eShop. I wanted the remaining goodies outside of the game though. Edit: probably could flip the game voucher for at least $15-$20 and get some of my money back if I somehow got one.
