Sheeeitttt, one of the first things that came to mind for me was from the king of cinematics, Blizzard with my beloved Diablo 3....the game is now 8 years old and I still let the intro play sometimes....

Most games don't have intros like that anymore and it's kind of disappointing.  *grabs his cane and sits in his rocking chair* yessirrreeeee...Used to put the game in the console and read the manual while the intro played to further hype me up for playing.  Used to be my ritual for anytime I got a new game.
 
 
Soul Calibur II is def up there for really done intros.  It STILL gets me hype.  If we're talking about intros then gonna throw a few others in there.
 
 
 
 

Taking a break from Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (which I’ve been writing about in the Switch thread. HINT HINT)  to finally dip my toe into the Yakuza series. 

 
I have the whole Kiryu Saga on PS4 but have never played a Yakuza before. The most experience I have with them is watching an ex I had over 10 years ago who was obsessed with the series.
 
Oh, and watching people from REDACTED post combo videos and promotional trailers. 

If it is Star Wars related and not a path to whining forever on why you hate a particular movie or aspect of the franchise I see no reason why not.

Although their recent issues are only partially on them, Sammy Sega or however the company calls itself has mostly been surviving due to their arcade and game machines. That bitch 'Rona especially in the Asian countries where they know about and partially already did social distancing just about killed them especially in an anniversary year they probably had some live events that had to be scrapped.
 
Edit: But on the IP mismanagement, it seems like they just never found out how to capitalize on their popularity rather it was their overseas success or their local streaks in significant ways. 

I know I was like I get the kid likes other animals but he should be able to tell another sentient species . Kid is obviously spoiled rotten given he apparently will eat anything smaller then him raw. 

it would be nice if other companies bought the IPs --- new-era Altered Beast and Golden Axe would indeed be of interest to me.  A new Space Harrier would be good too.  I'm still bitter that "Planet Harriers" never got a chance because the DC died before it could become a reality.
 
On another note though...
HADES - I unlocked a fist/gauntlet weapon now; forgot what it's called but of course it's awesome.  The fight I just had with Megaera ended in such a cool way ---I remembered that I had "deflect" with the gauntlets, so when she got to the point of spamming energy projectiles.... I defeated her by punching several of them right back to her.  Delicious.
 
Yes, folks...don't resist it.  You need this game in your life.
 

See, that would be the good timeline. The timeline where Silent Hill never died and Bloodborne isn't locked to 30 FPS on a next gen console. 
 
We're in the bad timeline. Riots consume America. Sega is dying. Cell has won the Cell games. Most fighting games STILL don't have rollback. 
 
Shit, we might all already be in Silent Hill right now and not even know it. Endlessly looping in this cycle of suffering until we learn our lesson... 
 

 
 
 

You can't even play PT on PS4. New game or not, they will continue to bury that demo and anything involving it. 

Square Enix and their Western branch that used to be Eidos or Crystal Dynamics always mess themselves with spending too much on the game development so even when the game sells well they still under perform expectations. Same shit happened with EVERY game in the reboot Tomb Raider franchise and I want to say that is why they let the Hitman developers and IP go as well.
 
Also they shot themselves in the foot leading with the game as service media push on a licensed game of all things.

I forgot to post this yesterday but Daemon x Machina released a 1 year anniversary celebration patch adding new missions, mechs, cosmetics and weapons

I am guessing because they have so much photo evidence of then running around with no masks and they need a scapegoat to show they are serious.

Despite not being a huge fan of sim games I've always had a soft spot for rune factory cause it's aesthetics have always been very cool. I actually really enjoyed the first few. 
 
My favorite Harvest spin off is River King  though. *adjusts glasses*

Edit: I have been looking at the Rune Factory games and considering adding the Switch ones (4 Special and 5 upon release) to the collection. Is there anyone here that plays these games? From what I've read, it's basically Harvest Moon mixed with Agarest War mixed with JRPG elements.

I tried out Hyrule Warriors ... I think I may get it for Christmas with Dragon Quest XI S. It's great for destressing at the end of the day, and much better than playing Tetris 99 to relax.

At some point we have to start calling developers and publishers on the bullshit, fans shouldn't have to eat the price plus a hit to their console storage or data caps just because they don't want to make time to compress their game while getting it in working order.
 
I know adult babies were bitching about Cyberpunk but I rather they fix their shit before putting it in people's hands then roadmap that shit for months after initial release.

At some point we have to start calling developers and publishers on the bullshit, fans shouldn't have to eat the price plus a hit to their console storage or data caps just because they don't want to make time to compress their game while getting it in working order.
