Speaking of Last of Us, I saw that Last of Us Remastered is free for PS+ on PS5. At the behest of my good freind who says it's one of the greatest games of all time, I decided to try it out. I really enjoyed playing the Uncharted series recently, so why not?
 
Holy shit, this game is amazing! Hard to believe it was actually a PS3 game at first. And I LOVE the characters. Especially Joel. He's fucking awesome. One of the best videogame characters I've ever seen. And now there's a TLoU part 2 that came out this year. I can't wait to play that shit too. I'm just so glad that I'll be able to continue the journey with Joel. Fucking love that guy 👍

I see @DarkGeneralhas finally come here. I remember on the other forum you asked me if we were taught fundamentals for trading. I found this course that's mainly about trading with fundamentals: following the news, trading the days the Federal Reserve, central bank of Europe, central bank of Japan make statements, etc. I was perusing one of their lessons and the day Trump won one currency pair (one with USD as the base currency) shot up so high. Pretty interesting stuff I think you might like.

Guys, today is a very special #METALMONDAY because today 32 years ago, the band Death released their second album LEPROSY. Distancing itself from their first album which was more thrash metal sounding, Leprosy set the bases for that old school death metal sound you hear so much about. The brilliant mastermind that was Chuck Schuldiner pushed death metal in terms of speed and rhythm complexity. And when one band member couldn't keep up, Death would bring over more experienced musicians to fill the roles from famous bands like Testament, Exodus, Mercyful Fate. Under Night is great. I used to play the hell out of it before DBFZ dropped. The cast is incredibly unique and doing combos in that game feels damn good.
 
Granblue is awesome too, but I feel I got bored with it pretty quickly since it's just such a simple game. The new characters would've gotten me back into it probably but, Arcsys expects you to shell out $80 for the "get all the characters" Edition and then another $50 for the second set of characters.

Steam is having a fight game sale, what would be a good pickup? I haven't played any of this generations new fighting games outside of Tekken 7 with some friends.

Man, mentioning melty blood takes me back. I miss playing Melty Blood. When I was around 18-20 I placed Actress Again hella. I ended up getting into it the same time as my room mates at the time because our Dreamcast broke and for whatever reason a replacement was super hard to find for the longest time. 
 
So we just nose to the grind stoned Melty Blood and ended up falling in love with the game. We’d legit have like 7-8 hour sessions on our days off.  Sometimes longer. We got other people into it too and would do 8 man round robins at our apartment. 
 
I was suuuuuper hype when our local arcade got a cab of it in but the buttons were configured incorrectly and the arcade employees wouldn’t fix it despite the massive amounts of complaining they got from people who played on it. 

I hate to say depends on what you like but kinda. 2k2kUM has rollback now, AC+R is 3 bucks, think SF5 CE edition is 17 dollars, rev2 is cheap, KoF13 is cheap etc.
 
30th has decent netcode and you can catch games with MegaShockers pretty easily. SFxT is cheap and yiu can unlock all the DLC easily.
 
If none of that sounds good, we can still hook you up with Fightcade 2 stuff.

DBFZ, +R, Them's Fighting Herds, Cross Tag, Melty Blood (though you can just get this for free). Having a lot of fun with MK11, I know that's pretty cheap right now. 
 
It's a great time to jump back into Tekken too since the netcode just got an overhaul and a balance patch dropped.

This is where questions about 3rd Strike should be posted. If they relate to the game, me personally on a competitive or learning level or beyond, it should be posted here. I'll try and get to as much as possible and promote this page to other, stronger players so they can help. This'll grow Megashock and the 3rd Strike playerbase here, hopefully.
 
In addition to this, I'll be making 2 new threads. One will contain basic information sources and some information on how to go about researching 3rd Strike. I'll also link certain communities that are super active and contain strong players for your information. The second thread will be a Ken page. I'll try to include as much information as I can there to both get you started and simultaneously solidify your play. It will not be redundant to any skill level, and the information will be qualitative.
 
I hope this thread is put to good use, since there are many aspects to the game that are locked away behind closed doors, not because of some sinister agenda, but because it just doesn't come up in certain levels of play enough to warrant a full discussion. The problem with this is that it limits bad players' knowledge base, and keeps them plateaued. Please feel free to ask any and all questions.

I'm skipping PS5 just like I skipped PS4. PC just makes so much more sense than any console to me now, with the exception of 3DS New (I heard this was being discontinued) and possibly the Switch. Those systems have actual benefits over a PC (portability, and kids love the Switch).
