lol so true. And then they act like you're the bad guy after they keep needling you.

A lot of people also take kindness as a sign of weakness. But I think, honestly, the kindest people are the strongest, that's why when you piss off someone kind, they pretty much easily wreck the shit out of multiple shit talkers. Unfortunately, we have a society that then punishes the kind and compassionate for defending themselves, and others really. You keep doing that, and then why is it a surprise that over time people don't want to help anyone else, and only the shitty people are always around talking shit? Actions and rules have consequences. Design a stupid society, encourage poor behavior, punish good people, and then all you'll have left are assholes. And when assholes are the only ones left, they tend to just tear into each other like the rats they are.

I'm pretty sure he's actually Momochi's protege, so it would make sense the younger dude can beat him like that.

I think it's probably already fading. Every generation kind of wants their own thing. We've been on the comics kick for pretty much an entire gen now, the next gen is growing up and they're going to embrace something that they feel is more catered to them.

I hope it's video game movies. Because I can get along for more well done video game movies like Sonic the Hedgehog was. I want a wave of those. Maybe a good Super Mario Bros, a Metroid, Zelda, Pokemon, I mean there's a whole bunch if there are writers and directors that are really willing to get into it and write good stories.

The thing about the pandemic is it kind of gave us a break from all the annoying people that would worm their way into our lives. And now it's hard for me to really go back to dealing with any of that. I mean we were already moving more towards ignoring irritating people in person, and there are more online tools for that too now, but this kind of accelerated and really put that into focus.

Of course the really annoying people tend to be vocal and are constantly seeking attention online the same as they'd always been. They've stepped up their efforts now I think because they're even more cutoff in person. I've read conflicting studies that say the most vocal and toxic people are a minority on the internet but are the loudest and make the most content because they're so dysfunctional in real life, but then also that people are the same online and offline. I guess you can read that together as the organizers behind the latter probably only looked at the most vocal or something, but most of us know people online act way different than in person. Most people are way more aggressive and confident in themselves online, the biggest mouths I've had the misfortune of reading online tend to be the quietest and physically least intimidating in person.

The internet is such a strange place. Everyone makes six figures, until a stimulus is available, then suddenly everyone gets the full stimulus amount (which means they make under $75k or whatever the cutoff is this time).

I very rarely discuss my own habits because there's really no benefit for me. But I've been eating once a day for most days for several years now. Once you get used to it, it's really pretty easy. Makes scheduling very simple, I eat most evenings around 7 or 8 and that's that. If I eat earlier, it typically makes the next day's fast longer as a result. So if I just decide I'm eating at noon, a sandwich or two, chances are I won't eat again until the next day at around 7ish. I've tested it before and 48 hours is perfectly fine. Once you start getting past 48 hours is when it can be problematic (dizziness, light headedness, things just start being "off").

Now on a related note, I wonder if going 3 days without food, 72 hours, that weird stuff that starts happening then is starvation? On TV shows we see people start eating body parts as time goes on. It can get pretty trippy honestly, you start hearing stuff, start seeing things that...aren't really there? I guess that's starvation but who knows, maybe it's some secret supernatural power awakening. Martial arts rumors and old books and stuff you'd often hear about mystics and monks and such going a week or more between meals and allegedly having powers. How wild would it be if all the crazy stuff we used to hear about when meals were harder to come by actually happened, like magic and crazy feats of strength and what not.

Again in terms of testing, I'd typically go for a run before mealtime. So 23 hours of not eating and then run 45 minutes, shower, then eat. I'd also done that at the 47 hour mark, skipping the first meal. But trying to do that 3 days in a row, I've never tried that, I'd rather not try it. I'm not responsible if someone tries it either. I'm not telling anyone not to eat for 3 days and to run without food for 24 or 48 hours or whatever. I can't even do that shit now anymore, I only do the 24-31 or so hour fasts. And I practically never run anymore, I'll do a rowing session in the afternoon if I do anything or just some weight lifting, but not a long ass run.

There's always splatter no matter what. I always sit down when I'm at someone's house. When I use public restrooms I stand because who cares. At my own home I always sit down. Ultimately it's just respect for yourself and for others, because someone has to clean that, whether you or that person.
