Got to see Dune Part Two early, as a fan who has never actually read the books but watched every adaptation, I was pleased and all the actors had great performances.

Hope they do get to do another film to adapt the next book but if not it is fine as just a two parter.

Just saw it this past weekend; the movie actually delivered the hype imo. Great casting, amazing cinematography and really creates unique scifi world! Watched it at local theater.

Btw anyone else playing the FF16 demo? It's definitely the first rated T/R in the final fantasy universe and I'm all for it. The battle system is so freaking good; can't wait for the official release!

    Spoiler

The story so far is also dope. I'm predicting it's going to be some sort of Game-Of-Throne shenanigans. Hype af!

  3. @BB_Hoody That's good stuff man; live and learn. This year as an experiment, I'm doing a  simple '5% appreciation' challenge. Buy a stock and set it to auto-sell it the moment the price appreciates 5%. Rinse and Repeat. I started last month with cost basis $300; now it's $357. Gonna see how it fares end of year.

Saw the latest Spiderman movie over the weekend; amazing on all fronts. The visuals has to be experienced in a movie theater; it's comic-book coming alive. My friend asked an interesting question in the end, 'who is the 'Spiderman' in the dc universe?' and I honestly couldn't name a single one. I feel like Spiderman is such a classic and will be around forever because the storyline revolves around things young people can relate to. Watch the movie at your local theater if you can. You won't be disappointed.

  4. I work in higher edu basically the 'IT guy' of my department.  I do everything from reporting/data analysis, software implementation, programming/writing scripts for automation, test/QA systems we use post IT patches/upgrades  etc.

    Pros:

    -union contract

-lots of holidays off. Basically if it's a federal holiday, 99% it's a paid day-off.

-summer schedule aka work only 4-days. <-- The main *REASON* why I really stay in this sector

    -remote work once-a-week

    Con:

-Salary is not high compared to private sector

    -no end-of-year 'bonus'

I actually just joined the six figure club earlier this year also. I prolly could've reached it earlier had I stayed in the previous  Ivy League uni but then again I prolly have no hair/dead by stress by now🤣. Out of my friends, I'm the only one still with lush hair just like in high school😂
