For once, a new fighting game came out, and I didn’t dick around in a character crisis for the first 3 months. 
 
Dhalsim (and soon JP) have all the annoying zoner bullshit I could ever ask for.  Gonna keep grinding and keep stealing all my tech from the Japanese.

A lot of players switch for comfort reasons. They have had or wrist issues that Hitbox helps alleviate. For me the most comfortable option is actually arcade stick.

Yep I could not resist obviously and got Diablo 4; just the standard edition of course.  I had some rewards points saved up that knocked some of the price down (*that at least helps rationalize it in my mind a bit... the fact that I'm not actually paying the full price for an online-only game directly)
 
The adventures of my druid "Booga"(...because he's....a "Booga Bear"! 😄) have begun....he's around level 13 or 14 already....focusing on the bear form.  The "Pulverize" is serious damage right from the start, with upgrades that "fortifies" you and can cause "Overpower" damage to enemies in an area around you.  With a defensive passive the bear form also grants damage resistance; 3 points in that and I'm up to 9% resistance while transformed just off that passive.  

JP is definitely a dope character all around. Capcom killed it with his design and playstyle. Seems like he escaped from a KoF game but somehow fits still

Gorr looks so impossibly dumb in the comics. His appearance in this movie is an upgrade as far as I’m concerned. It’ll be cool to see a character who can actually emote instead of an entirely CGI, constantly scowling, weird Lovecraftian fish face man.

Metal Gear Rising Revengence has been seeing a bit of resurgence lately in people playing the game since the games release 10 years ago and funnily enough it's due to the memes
 
There's been a lot of videos and memes popping up involving this game from the past few months.  It's interesting seeing this game's interest resurge like this and it's even more crazy how even though Kojima wasn't as heavily involved with this game, the subject matter has  still managed to be relevant to this day and even managed to call out stuff in American culture before it would even happen.  Pretty sure Kojima used the same crystal ball that Simpsons used to have.

Finished "Marvel's  Guardians of the Galaxy " 
 
Story - I was quite impressed. The game surprised me that that it fleshed out all of the main characters story. The beats around loss hit me a bit harder than I expected, especially towards the end of the game. 
 
Gameplay - It's solid, but after you pretty much master the tactical options between the team, you pretty much have it covered. While it was fun, I don't see myself playing through it again. 
 
I can honestly see why the game got such high praise and certainly worthy of your time. 
 
 

I'd agree with you of this was Demons Souls or Dark Souls but I had to get used to the cue like 15+ years ago so it doesn't bother me in Elden Ring anymore. You even kinda learn how to take advantage of it to get moves off on the earliest frames and shit. 

Glad Revengeance is getting love, that game was so fun back in the day, and I loved the story and characters. Armstrong was the GOAT villain. Wouldn't mind a remaster, but considering how these companies have habitually fucked those up, best not to do that 

The Amber/Johnny trial is fake

Yeah, it was only recently I remembered that PS5 can play that format....so now that's my way in on the 4k blu-ray situation.  Of course there is the unfortunate reality that all companies are desperately trying (and succeeding) to push people into a streaming-only future, so it won't be long before that's another dead format.  Even back in the good ol' days when stores had much larger tv/movie sections, the UHD section was always small.... currently it's only a few shelves on 1 side of an aisle at my usual Walmart.  The tv/movie section in general at that Walmart is still surprisingly huge overall though... it's like that 1 store is caught in a time-warp where it's still 2005, and stores cared enough to maintain a large section of that.  
 
Note---it was actually 3 discs, which was a surprise to me; the 4k disc, a regular blu-ray and a 3d blu-ray; heh, I forgot that was a thing, actually.  I haven't cared about watching a movie in "3d" in a very long time.
 
I must get Infinity War and Endgame in 4k now, of course, along with all my others I consider to be in the "Legend" category.  I remember for sure they have Ready Player One in the 4k section, so I'm definitely getting that next time I go there.

So I got a 4k blu-ray disc for the first time... Alita Battle Angel...  the visuals in this are INSANE.  It's also one hell of a movie, just generally speaking; I loved every minute of it....would be even better as a regular series though.  Action was top notch, and it's so far the most incredible cgi I've ever seen on film, by a longshot.  
 
It will be hard to go back to media that is below this level of quality now.  From now on, if there's a 4k blu-ray option on anything, I can't settle for less.
 

That's the vibe I got from the wish, Raditz lived long enough to become strong, albeit he isn't strong compared to fighters now but strong enough back then. Goku has survived on skill, luck and having good friends. Speaking of which, you'd think Goku would wish Raditz back lol

I think the implication is pretty clear that this wish only allowed them to survive into adulthood. Bardock “wished for them to thrive”, and both Goku and Raditz definitely did and became powerful adult warriors. 
 
I mean, if the wish was the only thing keeping Goku alive for HIS ENTIRE LIFE, why didn’t Raditz survive then? 
 
I never really got the implication that the wish is why Goku always succeeds (because he actually doesn’t), but rather it kept Goku and Raditz safe long enough so they could “thrive” and become powerful warriors.
