We finally made somewhat of a dent into the mess of our basement in the new house.

I managed to carve out a corner with an older TV and couch so I can play some retro games lol

Still feels like a house, but feeling a little more like a home.

I am a Sith Lord, of course I am a Heretic.
But just to be clear the Imperium of Man would probably see both Sith and Jedi has Heretics to be slaughtered with their heretical religion made by heretical xeno and mutant scum .

I frequently find and record the prehistoric version, called a mano and metate. They're most often made from vesicular basalt.

Edit: actually, they're a little different. Metates are typically larger than motars, and manos can be large enough to use with two hands. I do find mortars and pestles as well, most often the mortars will be formed in bedrock and so are a permanent fixture of a site.

Alright guys, when I said I found gold, I meant because of what I found that my sister sort of overlooked. She put a bunch of my mom's cooking stuff on the kitchen floor. I assume this was just clearing out cabinets and stuff to make room for my dad to take over the apartment. So I'm browsing along and lo and behold, my mom's old mortar. She had two of them: a newer one and then the one I grew watching her use. Had to do a double take because it'd been years since I saw it. Soon as I saw it, a giant smile came across my face and it made the whole ordeal of going over absolutely worth it.

So now I own my grandmother's mortar and the one my mom used on her daily cooking for decades:

I know my posts have been sort of sadsackish lately. But those two mortars represent decades worth of food with them. Just looking at that picture has me a bit emotional (in the good kind of way).  That's a lot of garlic mortared, sofrito made etc. It may have zero monetary value to anybody, but it may well be the most valuable two things in my kitchen.

    Success boys!

Apparently I picked up something up my sister either wanted, forgot she wanted, or needed to cockblock. She mad AF.

Then she became double mad because she told me I could take a lot of my mom's old cookware. Turns out she had a panini press. So I told myself "Dale sonero, you like hot sandwiches". Asked my dad if it was his, said no, fine then stick it in the car.

Afterwards my sister came at me like "Did you take the thing for the sandwiches?" I said yes. "The sandwich thing is dad's."

LMAO, I played like 2 minutes of the Phoenix Wright games this one time. OBJECTION.

My dad was sitting in the living room watching TV. Hit him with the level 3 cross examination: "Dad is it yours?" he replies "I don't think so."

    BAM!

At the end of the day, I'll own basically zero heirlooms (save for one thing I found in the kitchen which I suspect is why she was extra mad) that I'll be able to pass down. But every once in a while when I feel frisky, I'll load up a bunch of different things between two slices of bread, press down with all my weight and walk out with a meal that'll be way less salty and she was on this day.

We eat victorious, boys. Her sandwiches will forever be cold and our cubanos will always be sizzling.

Have you already 'hid your power level' from your nephew first?  I usually try just enough so that it looks close and may even let them win some rounds.  The moment any of them start talking serious shit I make sure to 'break the scouter' the next match.

My post was meant for Chadouken since he didn't know what to do once he had uploaded a picture.

For Discord the situation is similar:

Pull up the image on Discord Right click and select 'Copy Link'.  Paste the link into the text window on our forum.  It will automatically embed.
Next week I'll have news about built-in image uploading, but for now imgur is really the best option for uploading images if you don't want to use the image Discord.  It's free and quite easy to use. 👍

I found the image you're trying to link.  This is how you do it:

Find an image online somewhere.  Right click it and get its URL.

You'll end up with a web address.  Usually something like "https://______.jpg"

Then on our forum you just paste that web address into the text editor and it will automatically embed.

I spent some more time with Squadrons last night. Game is fantastic. There is just so much control you have over your systems. You can focus shields to front or back, partition your energy to engine, weapons, or shields; booost and drift, evasive maneuvers, and that's just barely scratching the surface.

You can overcharge each of your systems, so you get extreme boost and agility with overcharged engines, double shields with overcharged shields, and twice the damage with overcharged weapons. But it costs resources from the other systems so you gotta be careful about your situation. The skill ceiling is going to be very high for this game, and I'm fucking loving it!

You can charge you engines to swoop in on an enemy fuck, then switch to weapons on the fly and blast the shit out of that fuck, then switch back to engines and get the hell out of there before one of his fuck friends gets you or whatnot. It's fucking sick!

I lived in St Thomas from 1987 -1996.
I was a little kid then.

You should go to Magens Bay beach.
It was one of my favorite beaches. Nice sand and water quality

They drive on the LEFT SIDE of the road there.

Don't buy any jewelry from any Indians(yoga) there on Main Street. They're prices are jacked up and most of it is from Hong Kong.

Coral World is a nice aquarium /zoo that has lots of marine animals.

There are a lot of extremely steep and narrow hills/mountain roads that are difficult to drive in. I would recommend using a taxi if you are uncomfortable.

    Enjoy!
