She’s not even human, so it really shouldn’t matter. But for all intents and purposes, Ramlethal is a genetic clone of another character in the series named Aria. Aria was undoubtedly white and all the other characters that are cloned from her share the same look, except for Ram who is dark skinned. Like Sonero said, it’s probably meant to evoke the ganguro trend. Which is also probably why she has colors that make her have lighter skin unlike Nagoriyuki and Giovanna.
 
It’s never explained in the series why she looks different, so I don’t really care what people headcanon her as as long as they don’t be assholes about it.

Erin Fitzgerald, the prolific voice actor who played Ramlethal Valentine in the Guilty Gear Xrd games, won’t be returning in the upcoming Guilty Gear Strive after stepping down to “support more work for Black actresses behind the mic.”
 
“I happily stepped away so they could cast more appropriately,” Fitzgerald wrote on Twitter, responding to questions about actor Laura Stahl’s recent announcement that she’ll be voicing Ramlethal instead. “The character is black. I am not black.”
 
“Before I accepted the role of Ramlethal, l asked for clarification on the situation, and not only do I deeply respect Erin as an actor, but as an amazing person as well,” said Stahl, who has previously voiced characters in games like Genshin Impact, Pokémon Masters, and Fire Emblem Heroes. “Thank you for your grace. I have never agreed with you more.  Been saying this 1997, I was so glad I played this on my friend's Playstation. I would have been salty as fuck if I bought a PS1 for that game. I played the ever living hell out of FFT though. Between me and my friend, we wore his PS1 out. Had to start turning his PS1 upside down to read the discs. 🙃

I've erased this paragraph about 6 times trying to word it correctly. I basically told the family to tell my sister to pay what she owes. Because at 3 different times she either said all the money was hers or threatened to keep it from me. Now they took everything else that was my mom's, so fuck it, at least give me the shit she told me was mine when she was dying.
 
This has lead to a bit of emotional turmoil. There are a few other MSers with "bad" family dynamics. Since I know I ain't getting the money, then the whole thing is about principle. You get the money, I got texts that prove I ain't lying. If I say somebody is shit, its because they went out of their way to be shitty 
 
Now I have to accept that there was a lot of gossiping, shit talking, and other terrible stuff happening behind my back. The main driver for a lot of it was my mother.  And I also have to accept that she did things to slander my name. Early on I told her to make a will so that she could divide things how she wanted and that was that. She took this as me asking her to split things up before she was dead. She then retold this story as me going up to her asking her for stuff. Mind you, same breath I told her to get her power of attorney done, and that we needed to come up with a gameplan for when her disease got too bad. This gossiping lead to some ridiculous shit being said to me by my brother in law.
 
 
What people should know is that the word family only means as much as other family members put into it. Dont let yourself suffer because you were born into a group of bad actors. You read about narcissism, sociopaths etc, well the people with that stuff were born from somewhere. They could be your family members. Same with people with unchecked mental health issues that person can be your cousin, brother, or sister.
 
When people take off the mask and show you the truth, don't hesitate to tell them all to...suffocate inside a hyena's asshole so they die in good company. If they threaten you with saying that they are gonna expose you on some shit you said long ago and patched up, mail them a copy of your dental records so they can double check which mouth said it.Fuck'em all; their insanity is not your cross to bear. You can live a happy life without them.

I dunno it may not be that dire. Part of it is having a decent command normal to cancel to from 5P/2P and/or 5K/6K so you can actually get pickups off quick punishes or lows. Otherwise you end up having jack shit for damage in fairly common scenarios in this game (that I think will only become more important as the game goes on and people tighten up their game). Sol is particularly blessed because 6S combos off of Ps and Ks and 6S is a nice long button so he doesn't have to worry about it whiffing.

Yeah +R does still have some of the "finding random anime games online" issue. For what its worth I've had decent luck looking for rooms but also creating my own open room and hanging out in there for a bit. There is a weirdly decent amount of churn and people in that game have a decent shot of sticking around for a longer set of games. I really want them to implement the player quick match they had in the last beta they ran; that made it super easy to just jump from game to game.
 
Like Volt said, if I'm around I'm definitely up for playing (though my weekday hours are funky I'm trying to play consistently on M/W/T/F from 4:30-5:30 EST at least). I'm up  for either game. I vastly prefer Xrd Johnny (who wouldn't?), one of the reasons I picked HoS in +R, and like you said that game is damn pretty. +R has an oldschool charm but Xrd is an undeniable step up. Especially if you're a Millia main. I don't like her +R design too much.
 
Also this is a fun one. I usually don't like reaction vids but he goes into some of how the song was put together and hits on some influences.

Other tha them removing some combo routes, and Sol being able to do whatever he wants, I'm pretty happy with the game.

Maaaan it is. And we.have so much crap, but this new house is awesome, on 6 acres and feels like a cabin in the mountains so I'm ok with waiting till fiber gets out here. 

I am having a hilarious day full of nonsensical family drama from actual narcissists and other secondary type sociopaths.
 
Also a million and a half attempts at gas lighting me and then telling me that text message evidence of people saying the things I said they did, don't matter. Its weird, but in a lot of ways the situation that lead to everybody migrating here mirrors my family dynamics to a incredibly scary degree.
