I still can't believe Necalli ended up being as dry as is, gameplay wise and story wise. Ancient warrior Pillar man who can eat hadou? Awesome. Then the story comes along and the craziest thing he did was look like a sheep and then jobbed to Ryu who wasn't even the main character in the story mode. And his gameplay is kinda dry. You'd think a dude with a dunk command grab, Berserker Barrage and SS3 transformation would be super cool but not really. He's solid, sure, but in safest of ways.
He's also the first character I've seen, in my personal history of fighting games, where people drop him because he's too boring. That still just baffles me. I've never seen people drop a perfectly solid character like Necalli because he's too vanilla lol. Ahh well.

I hate how all his moves look like the same thing. Like all his punches are the same scratch move in different positions lol. Like I understand there is only so many ways to animate an attack but at least try

G being named "the boss" of SFV are just the developers telling the player base they will never nerf his V-trigger 1.

His character story had potential and they completely squandered it. He's not even the boss. According to the developers. G is the boss of SFV.

Of the SFV newbies, I can see Menat, Laura, Rashid, and G being series stables. Ed and Falke have a chance when Capcom decides to move on from Shadowloo as the series villains. Kolin is a possible regular if they want to her in her current role as a low key villainess working for a bigger bad. Zeku strikes me as a fellow who will be in every other game. I can only see Lucia back if Capcom needs to fill their Final Fight quota for a SF game. Necalli and Abigail are mistakes. Don't being them back ever.

I like a lot of the SFV newcomers tbh. Sethette and Rashid are the standouts for me personally but I would like to see Abigail, G, Menat and Kolin return. Those characters seem to be well received by the community too (not balance wise, of course).

Agree with above. I'd also be happy for V's take on Seth and Poison to become the new base for those characters. Juri's 4 version was definitely more interesting to me though, ofc.
 
Bit of a tangent, I think Zeku and Guy (being a former Guy main for a while), as well as Hugo and Abigail could exist in the same game, but I can't see it happening - Guy and Hugo aren't nearly as irreplaceable as loads of the cast in terms of popularity, devs would def get some "wasted slot" crap. 

I might be the only one but I'd really like them to make another stab at Falke in a sequel. Maybe a little less stiff and intentionally limited, with some more fluid and acrobatic attacks and mobility.
 
Kolin feels like a series mainstay, Menat is cool but they should separate her from Rose's moveset more, Zeku is awesome, G is awesome and I think removing V-trigger robbery would go a long way towards increasing his popularity.

I am one of the rare people that actually didn’t mind most of the newcomers for this game. FANG, G, Menat, Kolin, Zeku, and Rashid (I like him, just hate fighting him) are characters I hope to see in a future game. Necali was wasted and Kage was trash from the start so I won’t be sad to see them go. Everyone else is someone I wouldn’t mind but not really excited for.

This is why, as soon as my future children are old enough (8 or 9 I think) I'm gonna wake them up on Saturday by challenging them to battle, Hot Rod style. 
 
After 10ish years of them getting whooped every saturday morning, they'll know how to lose with grace, learn to hate it, and strive for constant victory.
